It’s not an exaggeration to say that voting for Republicans at this point puts Marjorie Taylor Greene one step closer to the White House.
Marge Greene says she wants to run for President or VP: “Those are things I’m definitely interested in as long as I think they’re achievable and I can be effective. Yes, those things are being talked about. But, we’ll see what happens.” pic.twitter.com/E9nleaC8JG

2020 mattered, Georgia mattered, and this November matters.

Multiple Republican senators have now complained on Twitter about having to show up to work to delay a bill that will lower prescription drug costs and protect the planet.

Vice President Harris has arrived at the Capitol to break ties to overcome Republican obstruction and pass the Inflation Reduction Act.

This is a lie. The Inflation Reduction Act doesn’t increase IRS audits on anyone making under $400,000 a year. The bill cracks down on millionaires and billionaires for dodging taxes. I wonder why Ted Cruz is so upset about that?

The Manchin-Schumer bill will create 87,000 new IRS agents to target regular, everyday Americans.

Hell of a week for Biden:

-528k July jobs added
-Unemployment at 3.5% (50-year low)
-Zawahiri killed
-CHIPS Act passes
-PACT Act passes
-Inflation Reduction Act deal
-Gas hits 50+ day low (median US price below $4/gal)
-Kansas protects abortion

And he oversaw it all with COVID.

This is what’s at stake in November. Could not be any clearer.

Republican senator whines on Twitter that he can’t go on vacation because he has to spend time delaying passage of a bill that will lower prescription drug costs and help save future generations from ecological collapse.

While running for another term he’ll be 95 at the end of.
Each Dec Schumer puts out schedule for Senate I set Grassley family reunion based on schedule. For 2nd yr in row I won’t be at reunion I’m in DC to fight Dems irresponsible tax&spend bill. Need a Republican majority to hv schedule we can count on & A RESPONSIBLE FISCAL AGENDA

You could always retire instead of running for another term that you’ll be 95 at the end of.

I’m sure all the Republican politicians who have been screaming about a recession will be cheering today’s jobs report showing that is demonstrably not the case... right?

In reply to @ChuckGrassley
Nothing says "re-elect me" quite like tweeting how your government position gets in the way of your vacations.

Recessions don’t involve historically low unemployment rates and gaining 528,000 new jobs in a month. Just saying.

The unemployment rate is the lowest since 1972.

Fact check: The Inflation Reduction Act does NOT raise taxes on anyone making under $400,000/year. The bill will lower drug + energy costs and curb inflation by reducing the deficit.

Holy shit. Fox News is now attacking President Biden for BEATING jobs expectations, saying that it “misses [their] forecast.”

here's how Fox News is currently covering the latest blockbuster jobs report -- that the White House "misses forecast" because they anticipated it being lower

Wow. They were rooting for a bad jobs report and were eager to push a negative narrative about the economy.

They were proven wrong in a BIG way.

528,000+ jobs added in July (blowing past expectations), unemployment rate dropped to a historic low of 3.5%.

Republicans just said they will delay the Inflation Reduction Act’s passage as long as possible because Democrats “deserve it” for trying to lower drug costs, protect the planet, and reduce inflation.
GRAHAM: “What will vote-a-rama be like? It’ll be like hell. They deserve this.”

The US netted more jobs this month alone than the entirety of Donald Trump’s presidency.

Trump added $7.8 trillion to the national debt, increasing it by nearly 40% and running up the deficit every year he was in office. This year Biden is cutting the deficit by the largest amount in American history.

The entire basis of Republicans’ outright lie that the Inflation Reduction Act increases middle class taxes is the assumption that if you raise taxes on billionaires and major corporations, they will “trickle down” those costs. It is a lie and they know they are lying.

Isn’t it funny how when oil companies are given massive tax giveaways from Republicans, those same companies still charge record prices while their shareholders rake in record profits? “Trickle down” is a lie. Pass the Inflation Reduction Act.
