Sir how did people heal before allopathy ???
Do not fall for blind mythology. The average lifespan of an Indian male at the time of Independence was 32 years old. For women, even lesser. Diseases like Tb which have cures today were guaranteed death sentences irrespective of any ancient medicine.

10/ We also performed liver biopsies of patients who consented to the same and found that their already weakened liver had large areas damaged and devoid of liver cells due to severe inflammatory damage from multi-herbal insults on the liver.

7/ Close to 10% of STABLE cirrhosis patients who used immunity boosting developed severe and progressive liver failure and associated complications. Most developed jaundice, fluid in abdomen and developed brain failure. 42% of these patients DIED without a liver transplant.

4/ People fell for the "natural & safe" ways to combat Covid-hook, line & sinker But didnt realize is that unscientific ways of health-seeking behavior always come with a price Which is what we show in our new paper, out in Medicine®, published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins

3/ None of these "guidelines" were based on empirical evidence, none based on clinical trials & efficacy/safety of traditional practices against a pandemic of extreme proportions remained unknown. Because it was promoted by major authorities, people fell for it.

I wouldn't mind paying if I felt the benefits were worth it, mind you. In addition to 4 OTT platforms, I do take the premium versions of YouTube and Spotify because their benefits are really good. Twitter presently has become a cesspool with a free-4-all for vile trolls

2 billion doses administered of locally manufactured Covid vaccine in India. No vaccine hesitance, clear communication by gov-from top. What a feat India. #IndiaVaccineJourney on @historytv18 at 8pm.
Moderna will sell its vaccine for $130 when vaccine coverage in US is still low

Seen many exchanges between doctors I follow and quacks saying "prove XYZ doesn't cure cancer." Some of them doctors even.

How do they not understand the burden of proof principle?

I say tears of a dragon cures AIDS. Can you prove me wrong? Oh, dragons don't exist? Prove it!

What a heavenly chattichor. There was beef, chicken, prawn, tuna fish curry, omelette, clams, pappadom, rice, thoran, achar, kappa. Delicious it was, couldn’t finish it tho.

I remember how proud I felt when I got verified. It was a really monumental event for me & frankly quite rare for doctors in India back then.
You tell me that it's not worth anything anymore & $8 a month gives any random troll a tick?

I say - So long and thanks for all the fish.

I know healthcare rates are different in USA and India but the gap in prices never fails to astound me.

The Ct Scan in the tweet below costs Rs 15.5 lakhs!

A generic search of the CT scan rates in Kerala, India shows it as Rs 4000 ($49)

For everyone asking me, I am sure emergency medicine and critical care medicine are the only branches which will easily get you a corporate job even as a fresher & with a good cheque atleast here in Kerala.

Friends, do not underestimate the value of the "remove this follower" option on Twitter. Useful for the irritating buggers who keep being a pain in the replies but have not quite risen to the level of a block.

(Bonus: "Turn off retweets" helps against serial RT'ers.)

This really means a lot, considering I was pretty disillusioned over the last year, wondering if I had anything left to contribute after 18 years of blogging.

With very few ODIs left, India have remarkably found themselves in the exact position as they were 4 yrs ago heading into the last ODI World Cup where they persisted 4 long with Rayadu, then ditched him near the end & went 2 the WC with a shaky, untested middle order.

The old man's loss. Have seen plenty of similar cases where the elders break away from the children or feel ashamed of them for marrying outside the caste. Such a tragic mindset.

Even in a local toddy shop, the women feel safe, are not at harm and have the same rights as men in the state.

But CPM & Congress haven't done enough since there r obviously still plenty of Malayalis who would forcibly enforce their regressive mindset on women, given a chance. pic.twitter.com/gITCsAHGcm

Conservatives would be happy only once they've taken away every freedom a woman has - forget drinking, even the right to work, clothes to wear & whom to speak to. All in the name of tradition & religion... all while ironically insulting other religions for doing the exact same.

Cleared IAS and on the night of the party for it, a friend was killed and the blame was put on me. My father was a judge and he sentenced me to 6 years in prison because i was framed by someone. I got out and didn't let the guy throw the ashes of his dad into the river.
