Saddened to learn of the passing of my teacher. Apart from being our teacher, he instilled the love for trekking and our northern areas in me - before the KKH was built. (I was 12 years old in the school picture)

The Interior Secretary and I today signed the UK-Pakistan Prisoner Transfer Agreement - alongside Interior Minister @ShehryarAfridi1 and SAPM @ShazadAkbar. An important step for both countries, which will allow prisoners of each to serve their sentences in their home country.

On the centenary of the Armistice, we remember all who have sacrificed their lives in conflict. We pay tribute too to the 3 exceptional men from what is now Pakistan, awarded the Victoria Cross in that war. This plaque, once in the High Commission, is now in GHQ. #Armistice100

@TomDrewUK I know of a person (Simon) living in Egham, who's father was from KPK and fought in WW1. After war he stayed in UK for a afew years and then returned to KPK. It would be nice if Simon and his relatives from his father's side in KPK may be connected by you.

We marked the centenary of the end of the First World War with a service of Remembrance today at the British High Commission in Islamabad with our Commonwealth and other friends. We remembered all those who sacrificed their lives for others.
