This website should get an award for its excellent coverage of the refugee issue! Yes, they actually go out and talk to refugees rather than pontificating from their desk.

So, this is illegal…….Take action and demand that @AbiyAhmedAli immediately ⬇️

• reveals the whereabouts of the detained
• charge them and give them a fair trial, or release them
• end this wave of arbitrary arrests
Authorities in Ethiopia have been conducting mass arbitrary arrests. Many witnesses have testified that the police stations are filled with people speaking Tigrinya, suggesting that these detentions may be ethnically motivated.

This must end.

It took them over 8 months and even then, the resolution is extremely weak. Very disappointing.
Today, the UN Human Rights Council took its first action on #Tigray since the conflict started over 8 months ago. The resolution adopted is modest but we expect this to be just a first step to addressing the crisis; and urge the HRC to take more robust action at its next session. pic.twitter.com/HSuYYU5UaJ

Despite being a modest initiative that simply requests updates from @UNHumanRights & creates space for discussion at the HRC, the resolution was adopted by vote, with 14 out of 47 HRC member states voting against.
