No need for Senate intervention....yet

Fmr CJN Onnoghen set up a reform committee that gave great recommendations to reform the judiciary, in 2017, none was implemented since then. At least 80% of them do not need ammendment. Just judicial directives.

Begin from there, sir.
I think he should begin by getting a good understanding of what a legal technicality is. Every other shall be added unto him.

so a friend of mine posted an artwork challenge, asking designers to create artworks and submit for his single, winner gets an amount of money, and i scrolled through seeing designers hauling insults at him. Here’s my reply to one of them.

A nice thread
On Legal Technicalities

As a Judge; I am faced with issues of technical nature every day.
- Prosecution failing to do disclosure at the right time.
- Cases being filed days or weeks out of time
- A person coming to do Stat Decl. several days out of time allowed

And so on. pic.twitter.com/Rwq82yvFYL

Friendly reminder that John Obi Mikel's father was kidnapped hours before Nigeria's game vs Argentina, during 2018 world cup but he kept it quiet, played & captained as he didn't want to let 180M Nigerians down.

The ban is also expected to impact the viewership of major footballing competitions like the #AFCON2019 and the English Premier League; with 18% and 19% of respondents respectively saying they would not be watching that particular competition after the ban.

Are Nigerian media and advertising companies getting prepared should MURIC, or any of the advocacy groups, get Nigeria to ban or restrict betting in the country?

In reply to @wildeyeq
Prior to this ban, the Betting and Gaming industry in Kenya had the highest media spend at over 14bn Kenyan Shillings (about $13m).

It is also expected that the reduction in media clutter, as a result of the suspension of advertising by affected betting companies, will reduce the media budget required by other industries to reach consumers.

The report forecasts that there will be a 10% reduction in advertising expenditure in 2019, but believes the ban will favor FMCGs and financial service providers who will benefit from the increased disposable income and behavioral change of bettors. (Spend more or save)
