Right. But you seemed to insinuate they're doing the Twins' bidding by attempting to lower expectations.
Maybe they don't do it regularly, but seeing a pretty consistent theme over past week or two of media waving off fan frustrations and making excuses for the team why we can't remain in the sweepstakes for top FA pitches.
I listen to @SKORNorth regularly. To label them "#MNTwins media" is laughably absurd.
When I say Twins media, I mean media that cover the Twins.
#MNTwins media continues PR effort to ratchet down expectations for top-tier free agent signing and discredit fan frustration.
"Has this #MNTwins front office built up no good will in 3 years?"

These seats are all now Conservative:

Great Grimsby – Labour since 1945
Bishop Auckland – Labour since 1935
Bassetlaw - Labour since 1935
Wakefield – Labour since 1932
Leigh – Labour since 1922
Don Valley – Labour since 1922

If likes of Susan Collins and Cory Gardner dont defect on some big-deal procedural matters during impeachment trial, this clip is useful ammo to say they were commanded by McConnell from the start to abandon their constitutional duty to be loyal to Trump

Pretty obvious takeaways from #UKElection:

- normal ppl are skeptical of extreme far-left politics

- normal ppl will accept a flawed candidate who speaks to them

- real voters aren’t your twitter echo chamber

- even if the woke crowd doesn’t, normal ppl reject antisemitism

The Conservatives are projected to win 368 seats, an 86 seat majority, with Labour a distant second with 191 seats. If the results hold, Johnson will have far exceeded expectations and should be able to easily pass his Brexit deal.…

So far, two regents — Janie Mayeron and Mary Davenport — say they will support the contract. Regent Mike Kenyanya says he won’t support it, telling the board it needs to take a stand against rising administrator salaries.

To be fair, she's really only looking to the tax billionaires a slightly higher percentage. $12M is a LOT less than $1,000M And to be fair, she's 70 and has been a very successful professor, speaker, and consultant.

yes that doesn't make her 'us vs. them' rhetoric any less bogus. she is them.

Great letter by Mayor Zupancich in Star Tribune: "We get it. The Edit Bd doesn’t want the mine to go forward. It truly believes the high wage jobs and economic development in NE MN promised by the mine are not that important; however, we don’t just play here — we live here, too."

Right and I agree but if the Dodgers are in on Bumgarner, they can offer just as much if not more. Nobody can honestly expect him to leave the NL and California for Minnesota in that situation. I just don't understand how people would even expect him to.
Replying to @MinnySportsFan
If we make a competitive comparable offer + he chooses LA, then fine, I just reject the notion that we somehow cant offer the extra 20-30m over 5ish years to make sure we’re at least under consideration.

If they allocated 50% of their payroll to two players for the next seven years, how can you not realize that would severely restrict what they'd be able to do going forward including keeping any of their young talent? In what world do you possibly think that'd be a wise move?
Replying to @MinnySportsFan
You’re totally right, I’m just pointing out how little payroll we have committed for next year, and making the case that overpaying for one guy (ideally Bumgardner who won’t sign for Rendon/Cole money) is not going to break the bank now or in the future.
In reply to @andrewwagner
Yeah but they're the twins. That was never gonna happen
Replying to @BsbUpodcast
I know but point is it’s not like these guys would have shot our payroll into the stratosphere. People act like this team is financially hamstrung when we aren’t.
For reference: #MNTwins could have signed Rendon and Cole and only would have been $25m above their 2018 all-time highest payroll.
Replying to @andrewwagner
But yes, yes woe is us how can we ever compete with these big money franchises 🙄🙄🙄 #MNTwins
