Meet @DuleRocker Dulesehwar Tandi, the Kalahandi Migrant Worker who Rapped His Way through the lockdown on the plight of his brethren. A chemistry graduate forced by poverty to wipe restaurant tables in Raipur. Still dreaming big through Rap & Rhythm. My report for @themojo_in

true. of course, people like me who just crossed 60 can be excused for not having energy. And frankly, for having less of all other things too, I must admit.

Thanks so much Barkha. I thought your piece on the encounter in today’s HT was excellent. God knows how you get the time and energy to write, travel, report, moderate discussions etc all in the same day! #Admiration

My HT piece:The Policeman as Hitman:The killing of Vikas Dubey demonstrates that our policemen are now so brazen that they will openly bump off anyone who can expose them or their political masters

In my latest column for @bopinion I argue that that American protestors could learn a lot from the Dalit resistance in India, where building statutes is a form of resistance, not tearing them down. bloomberg.com/opinion/articl…

Why isn't anyone talking about the struggles of our other Covid frontline workers, the ones dealing with the dead all their lives- the mortuary workers?
Why no mention of their work anywhere, except to blame them for swapped dead bodies?!
Replying to @drkamnakakkar
I've done several reports, more than I can count on mortuary workers, graveyards diggers and cremation ground volunteers

#VikasDubey killed. The script completes itself and proves that truth is more dramatic than fiction. Avenging the murder of cops will be seen as just one part of the story. The untold one may remain questions over links to too many powerful people
Replying to @BDUTT
Of course as scripts go, #VikasDubey story could have had at least greater consistency. A man who 'surrendered' yesterday, tried to 'run away' today?! Who will believe that! No tears will be shed for the gangster but questions will persist on the secrets he takes to his grave

Dear Barkha, each report that you produce wins our hearts !! Why bloody other journalists are not like you? Why have they not gone to your school of training to learn sheer professionalisms imbibed with ethics. They are simply corrupt and blackmailers working as media mafia !!

In a Valmiki Basti I meet Palaram who cleans sewage pipes for a living. The Pandemic has pushed him and his community to the brink of starvation. A profession already stigmatised socially, now reeling under the paranoid stigma around Coronavirus. That report on @themojo_in today
