Workers want to be heard on the transition to a new energy economy.
I met with @carpentersunion in Edmonton and asked the union to bring their expertise to Ottawa.
Conservative MPs shut them down and refused to let them answer questions.

“Behind the Sweetest Moments” with Ewen Farncombe.

Beyond thrilled our song is resonating with people. And that it’s now being picked up for a national campaign here in Canada for Thanksgiving, all thanks to @Cdn_Turkey ! Onwards we go.

Félicitations à la communauté franco-ontarienne qui célèbre l'anniversaire du drapeau franco-ontarien.
Je suis inspiré par la vitalité et la fierté de la communauté francophone du Nord.
John Baird as Polievre's newest validator:
Do you remember when Baird went on Saudi state TV to denounce Canada.
He told the world that the Prime Minister should fly to Saudi Arabia and apologize to the princes for speaking up on their horrific rights abuses.

Summer has faded away, September is coming to a close, and Fall is upon us. Let’s relax into Autumn with this week’s episode of “I’m Old Fashioned”. Sponsored by Sellers & Newel 📚

This is one of the most powerful and inspiring videos I have seen in a long time.
We stand we with the women of Iran.
This is one of the most powerful and inspiring videos I have seen in a long time.
We stand we with the women of Iran.
Women of #Iran tell their story of bravery, defying oppression and fighting for a most basic right. It’s simple yet powerful:
I'd like to think that my 9 day novena to St. Brigid played its part in ensuring the convoy gang were given the bum's rush from the beautiful old St. Brigid's Church.
I hear they are moving to Stornoway.

The women of Iran are such an inspiration! ✊✊✊
This should get Polievre riled up.
He will have a new set of gatekeepers to go after - the courts, the law, constitutional rights.
In case anyone is keeping score, that’s three recent court decisions — from AB, SK, and ON — dismissing challenges to COVID-related health measures. 3:0 #ableg #cdnpoli

I was honoured to serve in Parliament alongside Bill Blaikie. He was a man of integrity, faith and a deep belief that Canada could be a better and more inclusive place.
My deepest sympathy to his family, friends and all those who loved a man who was truly much larger than life.
Polievre has a new expert on the working class and the people of Northern Ontario - John Baird.
I'll send him a map.
Baird's just pissed that I took him on over his deplorable links with the murderous Saudi regime.

Guy on the National just said eastern NS could have 12 hours of winds over 100 km/h. Saturday will be a long day. You can’t go out in that wind. I don’t know if emergency crews can go out. Super dangerous. Trees falling, roads blocked, airborne debris.
Polievre's Conservatives are cheering the record profits of big oil. Profits that came from gouging consumers.
While other jurisdictions are insisting that Big Oil pay some of that money back to people the Conservatives and Liberals are backing the shareholders.
Awful that when I was mentioned Canadians are struggling with the cost of living, the Conservative applauded Imperial Oil making $2.4 billion.
Conservatives would rather be cheerleaders for rich oil CEOs then put money in Canadians pockets by making big oil pay their fair share.

Nobody whines louder in fake injuries than the Polievre Conservatives.
This week's special soccer actor award goes to Garnet Genuis. He's afraid the media are threatening him.
Charlie Angus Retweeted ·
This is such performative bullshit. He did not incite violence, is no danger to anyone and you are not afraid of him in the slightest. How on earth have you persuaded yourself this is acceptable behaviour?
In reply to @CharlieAngusNDP
I get your point. However, at this late stage in the game you would be taking seats from Southern Ontario - one of the most underrepresented parts of the country.
You are spreading misinformation. We are not taking a seat from southern Ontario. We are looking to keep the seats that we have. Big difference. As for Southern Ontario being the most politically underrepresented regions of Canada I suggest you do some travelling.
I figure that @acoyne has seen all kinds of mendacity, bullshit and mediocrity in his years of covering politics.
And yet @GarnettGenuis is the only one to be designated a preposterous fraud.
That's something.
That really is.
Congrats Garnie.
He didn’t threaten you, you preposterous fraud.

Parliament's most juvenile thug says someone in the media was mean to him.
It's round two for Conservatives versus journalists. CPC MP Garnett Genuis says he felt threatened after a journalist tweeted about putting down a lame horse. "I do not want to see a person who has made threats against me in the gallery," he said.…

Every time a Conservative MP repeats “The New Conservative Leader Will Put People First” democracy dies just that little bit.
This is unprecedented - the Chamber of Commerce for the five largest municipalities in Northern Ontario are working together to challenge the @FedBoundaries on their plan to cut representation in Northern Ontario.…

Fiona is going to be bad. The water is too hot to slow her down. Likely to have big impacts in a large area. Batten the frigging hatches.

Thinking of you my friend. I had to cancel. Will find another reason to get there soon enough.
Here is the statement from @mushkegowuk council on the failure of the @Fedboundaries to consult on the plan to limit the number of seats in Northern Ontario which will further "marginalize" Indigenous communities in the north.
The Grand Chief of @Mushkegowuk has called out the @FedBoundaries for failing to consult Indigenous communities on the plan to cut a riding in Northern Ontario.
She says it will cut the link between James Bay and Timmins.
"We will oppose these changes any way we can."

I was supposed to be at the Lunenburg writers festival this weekend.
We will find another time to make this great gathering happen.
It was shameful to watch Conservatives shut down witness testimony from Chief Judy Wilson of @UBCIC on the impacts of the oil industry on Indigenous rights and lands.
They turned the Parliamentary hearing into a gong show for big oil to prevent questions of an Indigenous leader.
So @s_guilbeault was in NY playing the classic Liberal hand.
He says some people think the government is going too fast on the climate crisis.
Others think too slow, he says.
