This is what I and many others have advocated for over the past many years. A good move.

This is a piece I created in the old museum, my easel beside the stone. It depicts the manitou stone falling to earth.

Without the advocacy and contributions of Survivors, Sept. 30 would be just another day in the calendar. Survivors led us to this moment on the journey of reconciliation, while they have been on their own personal journeys of healing.

See my #NDTR #NDTR2022 statement attached.

Today isnt a holiday or a long weekend. Many people will have a hard time remembering children stolen from their families, genocide, and generations of laughter lost.

There are supports available for people who need them. Please RT.

This is all the more important as we see regular reminders that learning & progress isn't static. It must be fought for & actively maintained. There are rising voices seeking again to deny the truth, to launder our history. We can't allow this. We must remember. #ableg #NDTR2022

We must do more than speak … we must act. The Truth and Reconciliation Commission has laid that path out for us in its Calls to Action. We have a lot of work ahead.

And this isn't just history. The legacy of residential schools echoes on in its impacts on survivors, their families, their communities. That's why this is also a day to recommit to action, to doing the work required to move forward on a path of reconciliation. #ableg #NDTR2022

Across the globe, citizens are finding out that honour is the glue that holds democracies together.

Not constitutions or institutions. Honour.

Which is why it's so important to elect honorable people.

Elections and local candidates matter.

Choose wisely.

The root issues driving these challenges are all in areas of provincial responsibility- healthcare, housing, mental health & social supports. And on every front, the UCP gov’t has repeatedly failed to engage to build real solutions, at times even undermining that work. #ableg

Wage growth in Alberta is the slowest in the country. We have the same inflation, plus the UCP piling on taxes and other costs.

This is a direct, and likely intentional, result of UCP policy - growth that goes entirely to the wealthiest and leaves the middle class behind. #AbLeg
