I've worked out Oxford's recruitment policy - just sort MK Dons managers by games in charge and appoint the top one you haven't appointed before. Danny Wilson next #oufc

triples is best. I THINK YOU SHOULD LEAVE WITH TIM ROBINSON. season 3. may 30.

I have informed the BBC that I won’t be appearing on MOTD tomorrow night.

Everybody knows what Match of the Day means to me, but I’ve told the BBC I won’t be doing it tomorrow. Solidarity.

Yeah, and I feel sorry for Manning here as he starts in a shadow. I really am devastated that we won't have our Appy back, and I guess that's probably gone forever, but it's time to move on now.
Replying to @GeorgeElek
I think what makes it worse is I never thought we’d have a chance to get him back - and here it was. I’d be much more excited about Manning if the shortlist had been something like Steve Cotterill, Robbie Fowler and Craig Short…

In reply to @GeorgeElek
Obviously gutted it isn’t Appleton, and feel the club might have missed a trick, but Manning is an ambitious and exciting alternative. Attacking football and youth development. Let’s get behind him 💛💙 #COYY
Replying to @GeorgeElek
That’s the only disappointing thing for me, to know we could have chosen Appleton and didn’t

NEW MANAGER: BBC Radio Oxford Sport understands that former MK Dons manager Liam Manning is on the verge of being named the new head coach of Oxford United. #oufc More on @BBCOxford throughout the morning.

Fair play to whoever came up with nachos. The socially acceptable way to basically have a big bag of crisps as a meal.
Replying to @EmlynBegley
“What are you having for lunch mate?” “Might have two packs of Walkers prawn cocktail crisps with some sour cream and salsa to dip them into.”

Don’t dangle Michael Appleton in front of me and then hire someone else #oufc

Can a country sue another country?

In reply to @EmlynBegley
But 66yo Jim Smith came out of retirement and wasn't great so don't appoint Appleton.
Replying to @GeorgeElek
Can't believe Bournemouth like mugs rehired Eddie Howe and got those other promotions

Here I wage war on the 'never go back' brigade, one of the most nonsensical Things People Say™️ in football. File it next to 'he has to hit the target' and 'the table doesn't lie'.
Replying to @GeorgeElek
I definitely think it’s weird the way people say ‘never go back’ as if it’s based in fact and evidence

Why do we never talk about how annoying it is when your knife falls off your plate and brings some food with it

Feels like this is coming out of the blue a bit
Oxford plotting a move for Charlton boss Dean Holden. He has made a great impression at The Valley and Addicks want him to stay but takeover collapse has left his future in limbo and contract talks with Addicks dragging on. Oxford very keen. #cafc #oufc

Congratulations to Liverpool on their 2.68-0.88 win over Manchester United on expected goals

Liverpool v Manchester United feels like the kind of game that can only be on Sky Sports.

Ha ha, oh no. I genuinely hadn't seen them - that's a major concern.

It’s not pretty
Replying to @rachhfost
No, it's moved away from hoping the teams below us keep losing to we're actually going to have to start winning some

Something about Rudy Gestede?
Replying to @Ronan_Sully @Ian_A_Woodcock and 1 otherfalse
We should be fair, Ian does a lot more than this. He also tweets the football cliches guy every day and replies to football quiz tweets with things like ‘26/26 in 8.2 seconds, I should have got 28 really’

So many highlights over the past 13 years. I mean I can't pick any out now but you know... There will have been highlights I'm sure #MyTwitterAnniversary pic.twitter.com/e0Iq23yMM1

I guess comes from public schools? We’d refer to the first XI and first XV at school but not to a “number VI”
Replying to @cgharding1
Does seem like the kind of thing that would come from fee-paying schools

In reply to @EmlynBegley
A back IV would have folk thinking that someone is having fluids injected in their back. "X" is just the sexiest letter in the Latin alphabet and we try to use it a lot. "X" marks the spot, never "V".
Replying to @MikeHal08477906
yeah I wouldn't fancy a back IV

In reply to @EmlynBegley
"oh yeah he plays either as a VI or an VIII"

Weird how we all go along with 'XI' for a football starting 11 but you'd never talk about a 'back IV' or 'front III'

Funny that Shandon Baptiste is in his second season in the Premier League at the age of 24 and yet it feels like he hasn’t really done as well as #oufc fans might have expected

That’s a good point. Maybe Emlyn’s is going down to £40 a month. If I don’t hear back from Virgin I’ll presume that’s it

I switched to Vodafone fiber. There is a deal for 500mbps for like £24 month.
Replying to @PapaSmudgeYT
That seems like a good deal - hopefully there will still be deals around when my contract ends
