An act of domestic terrorism – plain and simple.

Replying to @HomelandDems
This senseless and heinous act unfortunately confirms the warnings from the Secretary of Homeland Security and others that domestic violent extremists pose the greatest terrorism threat to the homeland.

During #NationalPoliceWeek we honor law enforcement offices who have given their lives in the line of duty. Last year that included 5 Nevada officers who will be added to the memorial at tonight’s 34th Annual Candlelight Vigil. Today I’m keeping their loved ones in my thoughts.

This is great news!

Congrats to Admiral Linda L. Fagan, the first woman to serve as Commandant of the @USCG.
I am immensely proud to congratulate Admiral Linda L. Fagan on her historic confirmation as Commandant of the United States Coast Guard @USCG. Admiral Fagan is an extraordinary leader, trailblazer, and public servant.

This is just one of many reasons why Congress must authorize new COVID funding immediately.

With it, we can ensure Americans are first in line to receive life-saving vaccines and therapeutics.

Without it, we will see more unnecessary pain and suffering.

The Governor of Texas is now saying we shouldn’t feed babies in our custody.

This is one of the most inhumane, barbaric statements I’ve ever seen. Matthew 25:40 must be uncomfortable reading for someone who could call for starving babies.

We are so much better than this.

During #NationalPoliceWeek, we recognize the men and women of law enforcement who put their lives on the line every day to protect us and serve our communities, and we honor those who gave their lives in the line of duty.

So starve the babies? That’s what we’re going with.

This #NationalPoliceWeek please pray for the families, friends, and loved ones of our fallen officers. Many have given much, but they have given all. Let us honor their memories, their service, their sacrifice.

Thank you to the House of Representatives, and the years-long leadership of Chairman Bennie Thompson, for passing legislation that will achieve fair compensation and worker protections for our tremendous, dedicated @TSA personnel. This is a major step forward.

NEW: Today, the House passed the Rights for the TSA Workforce Act, legislation sponsored by Chairman @BennieGThompson, to improve @TSA's frontline workforce by providing them better pay and full collective bargaining rights.

Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) keep our skies safe, yet they're among the lowest paid federal employees.

I'm proud to support the Rights for the @TSA Workforce Act, which would give TSOs the basic workplace rights most other federal workers already have.

WATCH: Chairman @BennieGThompson speaks on House floor in support of the bipartisan Rights for the TSA Workforce Act to give @TSA’s frontline workers the same basic rights and protections afforded to other Federal workers under Title 5.

It's time to support TSA's frontline workers who keep our skies secure - but lack the rights of other Feds. The #RightsForTheTSAWorkforce Act will provide its 60k workers:
✅25%+ increase in pay under Title 5
✅Full collective bargaining rights
✅Independent appeal resolution

We supported also the right of employees to organize; the right for TSA employees to equal other government employees and to protect firefighters across the Nation! Never give up doing what is right and just!!!!

In reply to @HomelandDems
Since the beginning of COVID, TSA’s Transportation Security Officers have not only kept our skies safe, but have been risking their lives while serving on the frontlines. 36 TSA employees have died from COVID.
Replying to @HomelandDems
While the Biden Administration has been working to improve TSA’s workforce, codifying these rights in law is the right thing to do for its 60,000 workers – and the right thing to do for national security.

In reply to @HomelandDems
For 20 years, TSA screeners have been unable to access the same workforce rights afforded to other Federal employees – and are among the lowest paid. TSA also faces high attrition and low morale.

These rights include full Federal employee collective bargaining rights, access to an independent third party for dispute resolution, and improved compensation under the General Schedule wage system.

Bravo, @SecBlinken, for swiftly attributing Russian cyberattacks that sought to undermine Ukrainian critical infrastructure.

Alongside our allies, we must hold Putin accountable for this reckless aggression and support Ukraine's defense of its networks.

Only took them a year and a half to admit it.

No, there was no widespread voter fraud in 2020. Biden won thanks to record voter turnout — and GOP state legislatures immediately started passing laws to stop voters from ever turning out like that again.

That's what happened.
