Disgusted by the senseless gun violence that happened today in Nashville. When will it stop? Praying for all the victims and their families 🙏🏽

Nah I just put the syrup in my oatmeal and call it a day.
Confession: I go to the hotel breakfast area pretty much just so I can get as many of those sugar free maple syrup packets I can fit into my purse. And the moment I start to feel guilty about it, I remember my late grandmother used to hoard sugar at 95 years old…

What is it about a wafflemaker at hotels? I don't know anybody with a wafflemaker at their house. I don't know anybody who even talks about waffles. But put a wafflemaker at a hotel and there are 46 people waiting in line to get to it. Stop lying. We don't love waffles like that.

Wagner got $10 million per year on his deal with the Rams last year (they released him one year in). Lavonte David’s deal is also $7 million per year. These linebacker deals are a lot lower this year. It started with Eric Kendricks (two years, $13.25M) which set the market.
Replying to @JennaLaineESPN
So if one guy accepts a deal lower than what he probably should (and guys all have their reasons for this), it can impact other players’ deals.

Bobby Wagner is returning to Seattle on a one-year, $7 million deal.

How is it possible you’re the espn “team reporter” and you break news 2 hours after @gregauman
We both tweeted it at exactly 4:47 p.m. ET. I wrote about it right after. Went for a walk. Realized I never tweeted the link, so I posted the link to it later. I don’t post everything I write for ESPN on Twitter though. Hope that helps.

Buccaneers release kicker Ryan Succop after three seasons es.pn/3JZZCxJ

Tom Brady has acquired an ownership interest in the WNBA Las Vegas Aces. Also fun story…he sent Kelsey Plum a jersey and a hand-written note after she hugged him (and barked at him) courtside.

The Bucs have released kicker Ryan Succop
Replying to @JennaLaineESPN
Releasing Succop frees up $3.75 million in salary cap space. Todd Bowles also expressed a desire to bolster longer-range kicking, which isn’t necessarily Succop’s forte.

Lavonte David said, “Throughout the season, when things were just not going your way, a lot of mumbling’s going on.” He said he didn’t feel like coach Bowles “had his chance to put his whole stamp” on things and “this year he gets a fresh start.” pic.twitter.com/H72j82Tkay

…When there was chatter, David credited Bowles for keeping the team focused on the task at hand.

Almost died today no biggie

Lavonte David was asked how important it was to have the chance to finish out his career in Tampa. He named the three other Buccaneers who made it 12+ years: Ronde Barber, Derrick Brooks and Paul Gruber. “To be mentioned with those guys is obviously a great deal.”

In reply to @JennaLaineESPN
“Tom Brady won a lot of football games. I’m going to try to be like Tom and win a lot of football games.”
And you know what some people would say to that? “The audacity.” I’ve spoken to folks close to Mac Jones on this and it’s literally impossible to please everyone when following up Brady.

The @ProFootballHOF named recipients for its second annual Awards of Excellence and longtime NFL assistant and current Bucs assistant Tom Moore is one of three assistant coaches on the list. The others: Sherman Lewis and Dante Scarnecchia. They’ll be recognized in Canton in June.

After nearly 20 years with ESPN, I have decided the time is right for me to leave the company. I’m looking forward to spending more time with my family and friends, and wish the company continued success.

The Cowboys have agreed to a deal with RB Ronald Jones, who visited The Star Monday, per source. Jones spent last year with KC after a four-year run with Tampa Bay. His best year was in 2020: 192 carries, 978 yards, 7 TDs. He played in only six games last year with Chiefs.

I asked Baker Mayfield about the importance of doing things his way and from an authentic place. He said, “I want to be proud of that.” He added, “I know I’m talented. I know I’m capable of doing it. But how can I affect as many people around me as possible?”

In reply to @JennaLaineESPN
He obviously still hasn't matured with his snarky-ass comment. That's why people won't play for that cat.
Replying to @jschultz1226
I didn’t take it as snarky personally. I thought he was simply being assertive. I thought he came off well.

Two guys who went above and beyond not only on the field but in helping me do my job in @M__Edwards7 and @seanbunting_ (white shirt). I’d be super remiss if I didn’t mention @Mskimmyb1 and all of her work in the Tampa Bay community with @SuccessfulJocks. The organization has helped countless children and families here in our area. You are the kindest soul!

Baker Mayfield admitted his confidence did take a hit after last year. "It's not how I drew up my career by any means," he said. But he's grown a lot and he's eager to put his "own touch" on what the Bucs created over the last three years with Tom Brady espn.com/nfl/story/_/id…

In reply to @JennaLaineESPN
He's gonna do a fantastic job for the Bucs. No doubt in my mind!

When Baker Mayfield was asked about concerns on how he might respond if he doesn’t win the starting job:“Everybody wants to talk about years ago, how I used to be. If you haven’t realized that I’ve changed a lot, then…that’s all right.”

Baker Mayfield: “Listen, I’m never gonna be Tom Brady. There’s a reason he’s won so many Super Bowls. He’s the greatest of all time. There’s no doubt about that. I’m not gonna try to be Tom. I’m gonna be me. That’s what’s gotten me to this point…”

Replying to @eleven8 @BrettLawrence and 2 others
We cheered for women’s basketball and women’s volleyball.

In reply to @BrettLawrence
How about letting girls AND BOYS be who THEY want to be and not forcing your ideals onto them? Cheerleading was a safe haven for several teammates of mine who were ostracized and vulnerable. I’m proud to be part of an inclusive sport that celebrated and protected them.

I know this will sound like a “get off my lawn” tweet, but I can remember spending many, many days and nights on South Beach in the 90s and early 2000s and barely remember ever seeing a fight.

Two fatal shooting in past 2 days on Ocean Dr. during spring break. Incredible.
Replying to @HolderStephen
Never would have imagined it when I spent spring breaks down there either. So sad.

In reply to @BrettLawrence
FYI…we DO play. My alma mater’s won four UCA College Cheerleading National Championships. And thankfully, the athletes we cheered for in football, men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball and soccer on top of that had a LOT more respect for us than you.

The Bucs are also re-signing defensive lineman Pat O’Connor to a one-year deal, per source. @gregauman had it first.

Jeez Mike, relax Breer didn't post this on twitter so there is nothing to RT. I read SI and thought this info is interesting to share with NFL fans, while crediting him I don't need to post a photo of myself.. weird ask. But I did an interview with NYP and provided it by choice

Licht has seldom done long-term deals for outside free agents the last few years. The front office learned from previous mistakes and openly acknowledged that.

Had a Muscovy duck wind up in my barn after a hurricane. It terrorized the barn cats. Stole their food. pooped all over the place.
Replying to @verobchfinfan
I believe it. Usually it’s the other way around with cats (sadly I’ve seen it). Hopefully your cats were okay and the duck was okay. Animals are so sensitive to those storms. And be thankful it wasn’t a goose! I mean, I love them, but they’re big and can be evil.
