Hi @lidl_ireland can you tell me why your cashiers in #Tramore don’t have to wear masks? I asked today & was told they don’t have to because of a bit of plexiglass. I protect them as I wear my mask, mutual respect for that protection would be good! Thanks.

Hi Ann, when our cashiers are behind a Perspex screen they are not required to wear one as per the government guidelines for face coverings.

Any update on this @lidl_ireland? Find it funny how a Dublin lidl beside the meat companies shop has stock but outside Dublin they're not shocked surely it would be better to stock the shops where there's no other option available for getting the meals

Fair enough I guess but is it about legality or optimum safety? The staff are not shielded from the people in the queues behind them and it’s all very open. It just seems so odd to me as you’re taking great measures across all other areas. Thanks anyway.

Hi Aoife, we appreciate that people are still not happy with this as a response but obviously our team are adhering to the guidelines and can personally choose to wear a mask behind the screen if they so wish

@lidl_ireland Sat 15/1 @ 15.30 Just returned from Swords, Rathbeale road. 3 cashiers; 1 (Cristian) had mask dangling off his ear, manager (blue shirt), wore his under the nose, 3rd (female braided hair) again wore hers as a earring. Unacceptable.

You’ve done so much for safety which is great so why don’t many of your till staff wear masks? Those screens are hardly a substitute considering the staff are backing onto the person paying behind them.

@lidl_ireland Do you have an estimate when the Lidl in on Dublin Road in Castletroy will reopen? It closed for construction, but I couldn't find any information on when it will be back up. By the way, your website still lists it as open.

404441557 I contacted them several times and they put me in contact with the supplier . The supplier said a new one would be delivered within 8 weeks . I incontact with them last March , and rang after 8 weeks several times and nothing thanks

Hey @lidl_ireland could you please have security in your walkinstown store? I was there this morning and a woman verbally abused another customer, then me and your staff because the other customer commented on her not wearing a mask. I really don't need that on a Monday!

@lidl_ireland Coffee machine broken in Cashel. Got four cups without realising until I arrived home that they were not right. Firstly, they were only half full and they seemed to be a mixture of tea, hot water and coffee granules. Truly disappointed🙁
