Yes, the GOP had bad candidates. But it was also wrong on the issues that mattered. It attacked @POTUS and Dems on popular accomplishments, like infrastructure and the Inflation Reduction Act. It clung to Trump and the Big Lie and vilified democracy. That is why they lost.
The Republican Party is readying to release its review of why key candidates underwhelmed in last fall’s midterm elections by early spring. nbcnews.to/3HEHsS0

We need collective outrage over North Carolina GOP's latest effort to undermine voting rights and free and fair elections.

Thank you @NicolleDWallace for doggedly covering the fight for democracy day-in and day-out. Thank you @esglaude for your wisdom and steadfast leadership.

If the Santos' campaign fabricated donors, I would expect federal indictments soon. That would be a serious crime and an easy one to prove and prosecute.
New: We've identified more than a dozen top donors to Santos' 2020 campaign who do not seem to exist.

I also spoke to a friend of Santos' who says he did not give the $2,800 donation attributed to him.

motherjones.com/politics/2023/…

Buried in story is clear quid pro quo.👀

"I need to prioritize which meetings I can take,” he wrote in the email... “May I ask you, Did Consortium [sic] Consulting donate to my campaign fund? And if not, why did you (or your clients) decide not to do so?" washingtonpost.com/politics/2023/…

If Santos' campaign was as blatantly dishonest in filings with the FEC as he was about the rest of his life, the criminal investigation could move very swiftly.

The fact that George Santos' chief of staff was the political director for Josh Mandel’s Senate race is all you need to understand the GOP in 2023.

Now that Kirk's candidate for RNC chair lost, I guess I can continue running circles around the GOP's lawyers.🏃‍♂️

Please call him Ronna!
After his loss today with just 4 votes for RNC Chair, Mike Lindell says Ronna McDaniel better bring him in to help run the RNC or the party will lose support of the grass roots: “You better wake up! I better get that phone call!” pic.twitter.com/OuOYx9ha4I

The fact that Ronna McDaniel won makes no difference. The GOP is the party of election denialism and voter suppression from top to bottom. And my team keep fighting them and their allies. We know the future of democracy is on the docket.
Whoever wins the RNC chairs race will be an election denier and vote suppressor. My team is in court around the country protecting the right to vote against Republicans and their allies. Remember, no matter what, the future of democracy is on the docket.

Getting ready to talk to @NicolleDWallace about the latest gambit from North Carolina Republicans and the RNC's continuing effort to suppress the vote. Tune in at 5:30.

Dude….you own the platform and you publicly told your over 100M followers to vote Republican right before the midterms. That was 3 months ago. What game is this?

Yes, and half the time they claim that they win all their election lawsuits and the other half they claim I am an evil genius who they need a GOP lawyer to match.
Some of the same people blaming RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel for election losses are the same people who say elections are stolen. Which is it?

I think I know another reason...

This is the right call. Like it or not, President Trump is one of the country’s leading political figures and the public has a strong interest in hearing his speech.
