Why did the Prime Minister say we were at the "front of the queue" when it wasn’t true?
Emergency departments are under pressure because of 8 long years of cuts to Medicare and aged care from Scott Morrison's Government. Only Labor can be trusted to strengthen + protect Medicare and we need Tracey Roberts as the Member for Pearce.
Tania Lawrence, Labor's Candidate for Hasluck, knows that after eight long years you can’t trust Scott Morrison to fix his neglected aged care system.
Joined Labor’s candidate for Swan, Zaneta Mascarenhas, for this morning’s line dancing class at Connect Victoria Park. Older Australians built their communities and they deserve to live well.
Aged care workers are overworked & undervalued. Along with older Australians they've felt the brunt of Scott Morrison's cuts and neglect to aged care. I'm signing the @ANMFSA pledge to fix aged care because aged care workers and the residents they look after deserve nothing less.

Prof Gene Tyson from @MicrobaOfficial had the pleasure of showing @terrimbutler & @Mark_Butler_MP around their new laboratory space @TRI_info & presenting their latest advances in #microbiomeresearch for novel #biomarkers, #treatments & innovative products to improve human health
Arts workers and the industry deserve so much better than Scott Morrison’s Government who denied them support through JobKeeper and have continuously cut their funding. #ResetArts #ResetConference
Thank you to everyone who joined the Semaphore and Port Adelaide RSL for Remembrance Day. Lest we forget.
Older Australians helped build this country. They worked hard, paid their taxes and contributed to their communities. With Madonna Jarrett and @Peter_Cossar I’ve heard loud and clear from Brisbane locals that aged care has been neglected after 8 long years of the LNP.

Australians cannot trust Scott Morrison to tell them the truth. His lies have put us at the back of the queue for electric vehicles.

This guy wants to be taken seriously on electric vehicles.

You can’t believe anything this man says.
The Morayfield Health Hub delivers crucial primary care services to @Rebecca4Longman’s community. Outer metropolitan regions need more GPs. It's harder to get in to see a GP and, when you do, the gap fee is more expensive because of Scott Morrison's Medicare freeze.
We need nurses in regions & the new campus at @UTAS_ Cradle Coast will make that a reality. I'm in NW Tassie w/ Chris Lynch and the message I'm hearing - it's harder to get in to see a GP and, when you do, the gap fee is more expensive because of Scott Morrison's Medicare freeze
Even before state borders open up hospitals around the country are under enormous pressure. Doctors and nurses deserve to see Scott Morrison’s modelling and a plan to keep hospitals safe and strong.…
Tasmanians want to be assured their hospitals will be kept safe and strong when their borders reopen. Scott Morrison must release his hospital modelling. @RossHart4Bass @polley_helen
Older Australians want to stay at home for as long as possible and the @ModernAgeing centre at Tonsley is doing the important work to make that a reality.

I visited their LifeLab today with Louise Miller-Frost.

Opposition health spokesman Mark Butler wants TGA to help put a stop to social media advertising by the UAP promoting misleading messages about COVID-19 vaccines and treatments.
Labor wants regulator to curb Clive Palmers COVID-19 misinformation
Our hospitals must be kept safe and strong. Why is Scott Morrison hiding the modelling that outlines the impacts of COVID on our hospitals?
How can we trust Scott Morrison to keep our hospitals safe and strong?
Today marks four years since the last Holden was made in Australia.

Our community was built on the car industry. Generations of families worked at the Woodville and then Elizabeth plant.

We'll never forget it was the Liberals who dared the car industry to leave.

The Morrison-Joyce Government has just voted against a net zero by 2050 target.
Ask any doctor, any nurse, we know that pressure on our hospitals is going to increase over the coming weeks and months. But Scott Morrison won't reveal the modelling that he commissioned about what that pressure will actually look like.…

In the last year alone, over 100 aged care beds have been lost across regional Qld, meaning seniors have to leave their families & communities in their twilight years. That’s how well the Nationals have represented the regions.
People in Flynn have the second lowest access to GPs per head of population in Queensland & they can’t find a bulk billing GP. When people can’t get to a GP they end up in hospital. @MattBQLD will fight to protect Medicare & deliver better health services for his community.
You don’t get much more local than @MattBQLD. He’s dedicated, will fight for better health services and protect and strengthen Medicare for his community. Opening his campaign office tonight - let’s go!
Pharmacists have been on the frontline during the pandemic. But because Scott Morrison didn’t order enough doses and said the rollout wasn’t a race - their rollout was pushed to the back of the queue. Check in with your pharmacy to book your jab today. @nitagreenqld @ElidaFaith
The people of Far North Queensland deserve a representative who will fight for them in Canberra. @ElidaFaith will be that person and tonight I officially opened her campaign office. After eight long years of the LNP, Elida and her volunteers are ready to win 💪
.@Wuchopperen have been looking after their community for decades. Their message is clear, communication is key to getting the vaccine into arms. We can’t leave Indigenous Australians behind in the vaccine rollout. @ElidaFaith @nitagreenqld
Thanks for having me on this morning Murray Jones!
We're already seeing frontline healthcare workers and older members of the community in the UK receive their booster shots.

Are we going to see, yet again, something that's too little too late from Scott Morrison on booster shots?
These posters are hung up in my office. They remind me that each year, a quarter of young Australians will experience mental health issues.

Today is @headspace_aus day and this year's message is: take the small steps that are right for your mental health and wellbeing.
Scott Morrison needs to stop picking political fights with premiers and start making sure our hospitals are safe and strong when borders open up.

We're at a critical stage of the COVID pandemic, and PM Scott Morrison reckons requests to bolster public hospitals like The Prince Charles Hospital are a “shakedown”. Did he learn nothing from his vaccine procurement bungle!?

With @Mark_Butler_MP today at Boondall Vax Clinic
Australians want to know that our hospitals will remain safe and strong when borders reopen. Scott Morrison has kept hospital modelling prepared for him secret for weeks. He needs to release that modelling now.

A day focusing on the health of Tasmanians during a global pandemic is time well spent. The Morrison Govt remains inept in its ability to fight #delta and provide access to essential healthcare #auspol #politas @Mark_Butler_MP @rossahart @ExaminerOnline @AustralianLabor

Great to have @Mark_Butler_MP in Tassie this week to discuss the challenges of COVID-19 on our state’s health system which is already in crisis. Scott Morrison won’t even release modelling on the impact of COVID-19 on our hospitals, how can he be trusted to keep our state safe?

There is still no plan from the Morrison Government for the deployment of rapid antigen tests once they are approved for home use by the TGA.
Replying to @Mark_Butler_MP
Just like on the rollout and quarantine Scott Morrison has failed to prepare Australians for this next stage of the pandemic and Australians will pay the price because of his lack of leadership.
Once again Australia is at the back of the pack. Rapid antigen tests have been used in the US & UK to get people back to work, kids back to school, and see life start to return to normal.

Great reward for a brilliant season from Ollie Wines- and another milestone for a proud club.
It is gobsmacking Christian Porter thinks he can take a $1 million donation without being able to explain where the money came from.

If a Member of Parliament can't explain the source of a donation, they shouldn't accept it.
We were never at the front of the queue. Australians are paying the price for Scott Morrison’s failures.
Congratulations to Renuka Visvanathan for this prestigious recognition. Renuka’s groundbreaking work in geriatric medicine at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and beyond is a shining light
As part of Healthy Aging Month (September 2021), we congratulate Dr. Renuka Visvanathan of the University of Adelaide -- Recognized as an Expertscape World Expert in Geriatric Assessment.…
At a time when so many Australians are doing it so tough, the most important question you could ask someone is R U OK? @ruokday

Remember that time when Greg Hunt bragged in Parliament about how well they’d done securing vaccine deals?
Yeah, nah the emails tell a different story…
While Governments around the world were tearing a hamstring securing deals with Pfizer - Scott Morrison was too little, too late. Australians in lockdown are paying the price for his failures.

“Pfizer executives claimed millions of doses could’ve arrived in Australia last year - but our Health Minister was too busy” to meet with them about it @7NewsAustralia #auspol

.@Mark_Butler_MP says the government didn't act fast enough when making vaccine deals.

"While every other developed country in the world was tearing a hamstring to get into a meeting room with Pfizer ... there was a go-slow [approach] in Australia."
