The City of New Orleans today announced that school zone cameras will be turned on for the new school year on Tuesday, Aug. 2, at 7 a.m.

School zone hours are between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. and between 2:45 p.m. and 4:45 p.m.
 
I had the opportunity to meet with the finalists and winners of the Mayor for A Day essay contest. 💛⚜️

I want to say thank you again to these students for answering the call to lead our great city for a day with me and see what the day-to-day job of the Mayor entails. 🥰

4:11p - A flood advisory is in effect for much of the New Orleans Metro due to heavy rain associated with these storms. Street flooding is likely, especially in any underpasses and other low lying or poor drainage areas. Avoid easily flooded areas if you can.

My administration continues to invest in our people: ✅Providing $1.4 million using City HOME Funds for this project ✅A total of $54M has been allocated to affordable housing developments throughout New Orleans --- creating over 2,000 affordable housing units since 2018
 
Excited to stand alongside many of the City’s partners to celebrate the completion of “The Reveal,” a $43 million project that will bring 150 affordable housing units to this community. 👏🏽👏🏽
