Can someone tell me in which position I will start tomorrow’s race?

Driving my 62nd different F1 car at Monza. Lotus 72/7, 5 GP wins including Emmerson Fittipaldi at the 1973 Brazilian GP. Beautiful, and not a little scary. It’s a Cosworth engine and Hewland gearbox strapped to your back with fuel tanks + aluminium chassis for protection.

Well done Adam. Calculating the grid penalties this weekend needs Einstein levels of intellect
1. A confusing amount of penalties today but just clarify @ValtteriBottas should start 15th, with 15 PU grid places plus 5 for a gearbox. That will leave LEC, VER, NOR, OCO and MSC fighting for 16th to 20th based on qualifying time (MSC is expected to take further PU elements).

Very proud of my daughter Charlie who has been part of this amazing McLaren Automotive design project from the beginning.

I didn’t go to University and I did ok. I wish I had in hindsight. Although I did attend some brutal ‘lectures’ with professor Prost and his fellow bandits.

Presumably and hopefully with no MGU-H units in the turbo system of the 2026 F1 engines they’ll generate more noise. Meanwhile from 2024 there will be no F1 tyre blankets or heaters of any kind 😳. That’ll change the dynamics of a pitstop.

Rear brake pad fell out down the straight and brake pedal went to the floor. Don’t know how we used to survive those cars. Ken Tyrrell and gang did a walking scan of the long straight to find out what happened and a fan handed the brake pad to him.

A lovely day off. Ride the bike to Donington, test the Brustang. I’ve still got it, just not sure what 😜

Lovely to be able to pay our respects to the great Sir Frank Williams today. Wish we could do the same for Sir Stirling and Murray too, who we lost during the pandemic.

Gary please don’t encourage this reckless behaviour. They’d have been sliced into 100 pieces and fans, marshals and drivers were wholly at risk of injury and death. We already had one lucky escape. I totally 100% support freedom of speech and opinion, but do it responsibly
If it’s not already too late, history will look back very favourably on these people.

I couldn’t agree more. The education and deep need for change continues.

The Stones were pure class in Hyde Park. Forget the octogenarian backstory, they are great and energetic musicians and entertainers. Wonderful.

Met him in NZ for dinner a few years back. Lovely man, calm and classy. And rest assured we never once discussed about not winning a GP, we were likely both satisfied to be privileged enough to have been F1 drivers, and to have survived to tell the story…

@GIrwinRacing Glenn I don’t want to give the ****wit who disrespected you and @jm130tt on Twitter any oxygen. Rest assured that in F1, and particularly personally having stood at the side of the ‘road’, that you are regarded as absolute legends and the truest racers on the planet

Thank you for the many birthday messages, they’re all very much appreciated. Having some 🍷 for medicinal purposes, good for blood/adrenaline levels apparently. As the only alternative to getting old is not getting old, I shall happily embrace the moment. Have a great evening 😎

Monaco result stands.

Not to mention his head in perfect balance out of the window 👌
#BTCC boss, Aussie racing bigwig & great mate of mine Alan Gow isn’t on Twitter but he nonetheless saw my tweet below & sent me this mega pic. #bbcqt I’m guessing a qualy lap at Spa in a thunderstorm on intermediates is looking quite a simple task right now…

There’s a reason why I’ve never watched back an F1 gridwalk in a quarter of a century of doing them. You have no idea how much I dislike doing them but somehow those crazy moments have defined my professional career 🤔. Oh well, that’s the way it is.

“It feels like lift off AT LAST for Formula One in the USA!” 🙌

The Miami Grand Prix has arrived, are YOU ready? 👀💥

Catch all the action LIVE on Sky Sports F1 from 7pm 📺

It’s race day at Hard Rock stadium Miami. The track is tough and unforgiving, and it’ll be hot for drivers and fans alike. It’s all a little bit crazy in this crucible of real estate these few days.

Miami track is great. Pitlane exits into T2 followed by multiple fast corners totally surrounded by hospitality suites and grandstands. Tight in places, then a massive back straight which starts narrow and expands half way down. Track surface might challenge a few cars in places

Lovely man, very classy and understated. Tony could remember in which gear he took corners from decades ago. He survived an almost unsurvivable period of motorsport with great style and success, but didn’t feel the need to make a lot of fuss about it. Was a privilege to know him

Quite possibly unacceptable to mention, but can I just say that I recently had excellent service from DVLA on a renewed road licence, great service from the passport office for a renewed passport, and two serene passes through Heathrow airport. Only the bad stuff makes the news

In reply to @elonmusk
@elonmusk would definitely make it onto my ‘most interesting dozen for dinner’ list, he thinks big…Wonder what Bernie would say to him 🤔 Would have loved Niki’s direct questions a couple of years back. Imagine Murray interviewing him 😌 Stirling would have been fascinating too

I’d swap a Sprint F1 race for a free-practice session any day.

Well done son 👌
