This is what it looks like when candidates and campaigns value diversity.
Lucky to have @philkimtweets leading @CoryBooker's campaign in Nevada -- profiled here in the Korean Las Vegas Times about his experience, why he supports Cory and the campaign we're building.

Booker it is, then
.@CoryBooker deserves to be in the debate. He led the fight in Congress on the Marijuana Justice Act & criminal justice reform. How is 21st century America going to become a truly multiracial, multiethnic democracy if strong voices of color are not making even the Democrat stage.
Is @CoryBooker moonlighting as a pilot now?
There was some *light* interest in @corybooker's remarks in Iowa this morning.

In press gaggle, @CoryBooker says, “We need to make sure we have a person [nominee] that can inspire a coalition where everyone feels energized and excited. If you can’t do that, please, get out of this race.”

Can't emphasize this enough. @CoryBooker would be the strongest nominee bc he can win back a broad coalition.
"Losing swing-state white voters to Trump certainly hurt Hillary—but losing those minority voters who didn’t turn out may have hurt her more."

A lot of folks run for president because they want to change the country. Very few of them actually do. @KamalaHarris did.

"My name is Cory Booker. I'm running for President of the United States. And I'm running because of that word -- united." #nhpolitics #FITN
"The challenge before us - it is to win an election - but it is also to unite a country." - @CoryBooker
On the verge of not qualifying for next debate, Booker makes an impassioned plea for supporters to answer their phones when pollsters call. He adds: “When you hear people say it's the most important election election of our lifetimes. Turn around and tell them: ‘Act like it.’"
Sen. @CoryBooker in Des Moines: I am here to ask for your support
(Someone in the audience yells "you got it," followed by chants of "Cory, Cory, Cory!")
Booker tells the audience to pick up the phone when the pollsters call, "please, choose me, choose us....choose love."

Booker tells the audience to pick up the phone when the pollsters call, "please, choose me, choose us....choose love."
"Let me be more blunt: when your caller ID says it's a pollster calling, pick up," Cory Booker says as he fights to get on the next debate stage.
Booker: "I'm here, to ask for your support."
Woman in crowd: "Youve got it!"
Booker: "Let me be more blunt, i'm asking you when your caller ID shows some pollster is calling you, pick up the phone and answer, please. Choose me. Choose us. Choose virtue and values. Choose love."

When those pollsters call..."PICK UP THE PHONE AND ANSWER, PLEASE!"
@CoryBooker, that ask for support is explicit and clear. Let's do this together. #IAcaucus

.@CoryBooker asks Iowans for their support. AND asks that they pick up their phones when an unknown number (aka pollster) could be calling! #IAcaucus
I’m seeing some people in the audience wipe their eyes during this @CoryBooker speech. Consistently on the trail I hear from folks that he’s “inspirational” and that his message resonates. Of course, to the confusion of many, that hasn’t translated in polling.
"Iowa: do not let anyone else decide this for you." — @CoryBooker
.@CoryBooker: "We're gonna win Senate seats from Iowa to South Carolina."
Amen. We can't do the work we need alone. Donate to @HarrisonJaime today and help us take back the Senate: jaimeharrison.com #SC2020

Booker adds, in defense of his message of love & unity: "The stronger the coalition, the greater the victory, the more inclusive the coalition the greater the victory...you wanna bring a fight, you bring people together."
Cory Booker offers interesting response to critics of his message of "love," those asking "how is that going to take on the fight against Donald Trumo?" He says "empathy, compassion & love...are the necessary ingredients we need to win the fight."
presidential (adj.) pres·i·den·tial: @CoryBooker in this speech
"How are compassion, empathy, and love in any way contrary to fighting the good fight?...If you want to bring the fight, bring people together." - @CoryBooker
“It is a problem that we now have an overall campaign for the 2020 presidency that has more billionaires in it than black people," @CoryBooker says in Des Moines.
.@CoryBooker on @KamalaHarris departure from 2020 race: “What message does this send about our party? Voters didn't determine her destiny. But black women voters will determine our party's ability to win.”
Booker says "that’s how we lost the last election—our coalitions were divided, our enthusiasm diluted by lies. We have repair work to do. We have healing to do."
Good line from Cory Booker: The Underground Railroad was the greatest infrastructure project in American history.
This point is so critical.
"What message does this send about our party? Voters didn't determine her destiny. But black women voters will determine our party's ability to win."
In Iowa, @CoryBooker mourns the loss of @KamalaHarris candidacy and blasts the Democratic primary process for closing out the year with a campaign with “more billionaires than black people.”
Booker: "Our country now is being torn apart not even just by partisanship but by a tribalism that has Americans hating Americans so much that we can't even sit down at the Thanksgiving table any more without seeing arguments break out."
Cory, in speech today:
"It’s a problem that an immensely qualified, widely supported black woman running to lead a party that is significantly powered by black women didn’t have the resources she needed to continue on."

Rugged individualism didn't:
- Get us to the moon
- Beat the Nazi's
- Unwind Jim Crow
We did those things together.

.@CoryBooker, speaking now in Des Moines, Iowa: "It is a problem that we now have an overall campaign for the 2020 presidency that has more billionaires than black people."
Booker in Iowa: “This is not about one candidate. It is about the diverse coalition that is necessary to beat Donald Trump.”

"What message is that sending, that we heralded the most diverse field in our history, and now we’re seeing people like [Harris] dropping out of this campaign — not because Iowa voters had the voice. Voters did not determine her destiny," Cory Booker says in IA
At a speech in Des Moines, @CoryBooker starts by talking about @KamalaHarris. It’s a problem that there could be more billionaires on the debate stage than black people, he says. Voters, not money, should determine how well candidates do.

.@CoryBooker: "Voters did not determine [Kamala's] destiny...it is a problem that we have a 2020 campaign with more billionaires in it than black people." bit.ly/36a7dUP
Booker: From my heart, it is a problem when a truly accomplished black woman running to lead the party...didn’t have the resources that she needed to continue here to Iowa.
At the top of his remarks, @CoryBooker talks about the importance of representation and the trailblazing of @KamalaHarris. bit.ly/36a7dUP

Hello from DES MOINES, where @CoryBooker is kicking off a tour of the state with remarks discussing the path forward and recent changes in the Dem field after @KamalaHarris exited the race.
Booker team says yesterday was the biggest online fundraising day of their campaign. Donors came from all 50 states, and nearly 50% donors who gave since Tuesday were first-timers—11,000 new donors. Avg. online donation was $26.
.@CoryBooker is the leader we need right now to unify our country. Join me in supporting him! #fitn #nhpolitics
In this month's Las Vegas Spectrum Magazine: NV High School Dems Chair @KatieLim15 talks about why she supports @CoryBooker:
"Too often, people like me are unseen, issues that impact my community are left out. But in Cory I see a candidate who sees me."

This is the Cory we know.
.@CoryBooker tells @katie_akin it's important for public officials to lead by example through community service, even when the cameras are off. "People need to feel you, that you're doing it from an authentic space, that you really do see them," he said. desmoinesregister.com/story/news/ele…
