For years, @hm kept unused money on gift cards that consumers paid for and repeatedly lied about it to the state.

Today, we're forcing the company to pay $36 million for its unlawful behavior.

Breaking the law to line your own pockets is not trendy.

My office is launching investigations into the social media companies that the Buffalo shooter used to plan, promote, and stream his terror attack.

We are investigating Twitch, 4chan, 8chan, and Discord, among others, all platforms that the shooter used to amplify this attack.

This terror attack again revealed the depths and dangers of these platforms that spread and promote hate without consequence. We are doing everything in our power to stop this dangerous behavior now and ensure it never happens again.

Long overdue, but this is a historic moment for the fight for equal pay.

Businesses can't open their doors to the public but slam them in the faces LGBTQ+ customers. It wasn't about a cake then. It's not about photos now.

Everyone deserves the right to proudly be who they are.

On International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia, I stand with the #LGBTQ+ community and will never stop fighting for the equality and acceptance that you deserve. #IDAHOBIT

I joined @POTUS and @FLOTUS to meet with the Buffalo community and pay respects to the victims of this weekend's domestic act of terror.

Ten innocent lives were lost to white supremacy-filled racism and hate. Today, tomorrow, and every day after that, we will honor their lives.

I’ve been in Buffalo today meeting with the community and giving my support to everyone hurting from yesterday’s act of terror.

Buffalo and all of New York is mourning, but we will rise up and heal.

White supremacy, racism, and hate will never win.

Racism-fueled terror devastated Buffalo today.

I’m thinking of the families and loved ones of those we’ve lost and everyone who was impacted on one of the darkest days our state has ever seen.

One of the main places where these buses idled was at P.S. K140 in Bed-Stuy.   Over 90% of the students at this school are Black or Latino, and the surrounding community has some of the highest rates of air pollution and childhood asthma in the city and the nation.

These companies blatantly ignored the law and took advantage our most vulnerable.   We’re going to make them face the consequences.

We found these buses spent hours idling outside of schools, public housing, and parks mostly located in communities of color. Vehicle emissions are one of the greatest contributors to air pollution in New York and can cause asthma, cancer, and other serious health conditions.

Make no mistake: New York will not go back to the dark times when people were unable to control their own bodies or make their own choices.   We must ensure that everyone has this basic right and can access the lifesaving care they need and deserve.

As we’ve seen this week, the right to safe, accessible abortions can be taken away in the blink of an eye.

New York must always be a safe haven for anyone seeking an abortion: we must amend the state constitution to ensure the right to abortion under the law.
