35 years after Doug Williams, we get Mahomes-Hurts.
I’m geeked up.

In reply to @nrarmour
I have listened to him before and he never annoyed me as much as tonight.
Replying to @MGardnerSports
He’s been wearing on me more and more throughout season but tonight was worst

Nancy Armour Retweeted ·
"Burrowhead my ass" coming soon to a KC tee shirt shop near you!

The image of Ossai right now. Feel for him.

Andy Reid vs. the Eagles. Kelce vs. Kelce. Buckle up.

Chris Jones better be the first post-game interview

There have been some iffy calls against the Bengals in the 2H but that was not one of them.

In reply to @nrarmour
I literally just tweeted that He's annoying me.
Replying to @MGardnerSports
He’s nails on a chalkboard tonight.

Mahomes on one wheel > almost everyone else on two.

Fairly sound theory. It somehow feels like the volume’s gone up to 11, too.
Replying to @GabeLacques
It’s the Gruden approach. If you don’t have anything intelligent or illuminating to say, just raise the volume.

Much as I don’t want this game to end, I don’t know that I can listen to Romo for OT.

Nancy Armour Retweeted ·
If Cincy doesn't win, feels like Zac Taylor is going to earn himself several fines from the postgame podium.

Earnestly curious what’s happened to Romo. From prescient and relatively concise to just a wild and unpredictable flow of stuff coming out of his mouth.
Replying to @GabeLacques
Check out Kevin VV’s response to Charlie Pierce. I also think the contrast to Olsen doesn’t do him favors.

Pacheco being checked for concussion after that big run?

In reply to @nrarmour
I have a theory that Phil Simms was so boring, it made us think Romo was the second coming of Madden and really after a few years, you realize he's kind of all over the place.
Olsen being so good highlights it, too

I said what I said
Who ya got? Split opinions from our experts on this weekend’s conference championships.
I say Eagles and whoever has ball last in Cincy-KC

I’m generally a Romo fan but, tonight, he just seems to be burbling. Clyde Drexler? De fuq?
Replying to @CharlesPPierce
Been like this all season.

I'm just here for the comments 🤔

Old NFL saying: "When you have two quarterbacks, you have none." Unfortunately for the 49ers, they had three QBs, but not a sufficient QB4 for #NFCChampionshipGame. The next question for #FTTB fans? What's the plan under center for 2023: usatoday.com/story/sports/n…

She is walking history. I love it here.

The Bengals banged-up offensive line played well last week, but it also got a repreive because of the snow in Buffalo, which made it hard for pass rushers to get going. The Chiefs are having their way so far. Chris Jones abused Max Scharping right there.

This is lovely
Jason Kelce is going to the Super Bowl. If the Chiefs win, Travis Kelce will join him. "I would root for the offense," their mother Donna said, laughing, earlier this year. washingtonpost.com/sports/2023/01…

Please, Chiefs and Bengals: erase that debacle from memory.

Seen a lot of love for Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen on this here website/app. From 2021: usatoday.com/story/sports/m…

Just call this game.

Fans complain endlessly about soft roughing-the-passer calls, harkening back to tougher times or whatever. But this is what modern NFL football looks like when one team doesn't have a quarterback.

Why is Hurts still out there?

Nancy Armour Retweeted ·
Memo to NFL: Go back to the old rule and allow a third quarterback to dress as an emergency quarterback. No one wants to see this in any game much less a championship game. (I know 49ers don't have a healthy third QB right now, but they would have if that was the rule.)

It was not
Purdy back in. This feels... not good.

steve, you’re up

I wish all the best for Josh Johnson and also want to see Christian McCaffrey play QB

My boy Greg Olsen is the best booth right now. Don’t @ me. #NFCChampionship

Tonight’s sunset is 5:01p

In 6 weeks, it will be 6:53p.

In less than a week our sunrises will be before 7a.

We’re getting there!

Thinking about this story by ⁦@LorenzoGReyes⁩ as I watch Niners-Eagles. Is Fox really sure Brady would be better than Olsen? usatoday.com/story/sports/n…

Ingemar Stenmark's record will have to wait.

Mikaela Shiffrin was second in her first attempt at tying the Swedish legend's all-gender mark of 86 World Cup victories Sunday.

You can gauge how bad the idea is by the level of IOC pushback.
Also, as @SteveMesler pointed out, tennis players at the Australian Open weren’t representing their countries. The Olympics is a completely different scenario.
The ongoing consultations of the IOC are addressing the letter from two special rapporteurs of the UN Human Rights Council who have expressed their “serious concerns” about the current IOC recommendations. The letter: spcommreports.ohchr.org/TMResultsBase/… pic.twitter.com/Bfr1djfXMS

Also, it’s kind of insane Shiffrin was even in position to do this. This was her seventh race in 10 days, across four disciplines, and she acknowledged yesty that she was exhausted. “I’m barely making it through tomorrow before I need a couple days off.”

Again, this is not normal!!!
Today was @MikaelaShiffrin 100th World Cup Slalom Starts. Her stats after 100 SL starts
5⃣2⃣wins
7⃣4⃣podiums
8⃣7⃣Top 10 finishes
In the last 86 SL races that Mikaela Shiffrin has raced - Shiffrin has first or second in 66 of them (over 75%)

World Cup circuit takes a break for world championships and Shiffrin skipping first races when it resumes. So next chance at Stenmark’s record will be first weekend in March.
Shiffrin does clinch the season slalom title, however. And overall title race is all but over.

Shiffrin had hinted at this yesty. “It might not happen tomorrow. There’s a lot of athletes out here who can win the race so I’m going to enjoy the competition for what it is and I’m going to do my best.”

Shiffrin lost some speed in last section of the course and that was enough with way Duerr is skiing.

DAYUM 🔥
@MikaelaShiffrin is in the lead after the first run by nearly SEVEN TENTHS. Take a breather, queen 👑 - you deserve it. One more run to history. AGAIN.

“We are exceptional by our inaction and cowardice, letting our young people be slaughtered.”
As always, Pop willing to speak the hard truths.

Idk but it just seems like quite the inflection point that most of the biggest WNBA stars on the planet are likely to now be in Vegas and NY, two teams owned by billionaires who have advocated the loudest among owners for charter flights and who are not tied to the W’s old ways.
