can you imagine if some ref decided to be the first one to make this call in THIRTY YEARS
The foul for pulling the runner is never called. I mean it is just not called, and it really is reserved for extreme circumstances beyond a yard or two in the trenches. But THIS is pulling the runner. Last time we have a record of it called is 1991 refs.ws/assist pic.twitter.com/WF4akZiiPk

I’m glad we’ve all agreed to accept that Mark Andrews made this catch even though the NFL officially says it was incomplete
Replying to @rodger
we did it
In reply to @rodger
They just officially changed it to a completion.

every season somebody on the NBC pregame show manages to be sub .500 at picking the SNF games straight up. Chris Simms somehow at 4-7 pic.twitter.com/7cnsJ8hpkY

Chris Simms down to 4-8 on the season. This isn't against the spread! This is straight-up!

sorry, I did not make a big enough deal about how Academy of Art won by NINETEEN

sending a half-hearted "yeahhhhhhhhhh baby" to the Packers for going for 2 up 17-36, even if it missed

Entering Sunday, there had been 680 kickoff returns in the NFL this season with five touchdowns, a TD on 0.7% of returns.
Minnesota's Kene Nwangwu now has 8 kickoff returns in his career with two touchdowns, a TD on 25% of returns

Wired: Deebo Samuel is a running back
Replying to @billbarnwell
the two best running backs in the NFL are Deebo Samuel and Cordarrelle Patterson

just to be clear, this is Jalen Reagor's Wikipedia page

Deebo Samuel is second in the NFL in receiving yards and has rushing touchdowns in each of the last three weeks.
Deebo can't be stopped on the ground. #FTTB

it is SO COOL to see an NFL team actually figure out what to do with Cordarrelle Patterson. He’s awesome
Cordarrelle Patterson had his most complete game as a running back in the #Falcons 21-14 victory over the Jaguars.

Patterson set career-highs in carries (16), rushing yards (108), and rushing TD (2), gaining +30 rushing yards over expected.

a lot of the current powerhouses in college football have benefited greatly from extremely talented Southern California high school football players not wanting to play in Southern California

THAT COULD CHANGE
Replying to @rodger
It’s really easy to imagine USC soaring to the top iof a weak Pac-12 if they can consistently land elite Southern California recruits… … … and it’s really easy to imagine Oklahoma taking a big step back in a tougher conference without a big coaching advantage

time for Carson Wentz to throw the greatest Pass Interference of his life
Replying to @rodger
you might think Carson Wentz threw a Hail Mary short of the end zone, but really he was just going for a game-changing underthrown DPI. Smart

Oklahoma currently has commitments from 5-star 2022 running back Raleek Brown, plus 5-star 2023 commits QB Malachi Nelson and WR Makai Lemon. Plus 4-star 2023 WR DeAndre Moore. All from Southern California.

the next time there's a fire in Philly and people have to catch babies thrown out of a window

in general, life in the SEC is probably going to be less fun for Oklahoma than life in the Big 12. more profitable though

Replying to @rodger
actually, we probably should give the loss to the Browns to Davis Mills. The game was tied 14-14 when Tyrod was hurt. Then Davis Mills came in and they lost 31-21. Davis Mills 0-7 Tyrod 2-1, potentially 3-1

excited to watch football for 11 hours today!

What was the point of LSU firing its coach in the middle of the season if it didn't have his replacement lined up and ready to go today?

really wanted to make a bowl, knew it wouldn’t happen unless they unlocked Coach O’s Interim Coaching Powers

Let BYU into the PAC-12 Championship game! They went 5-0 against the PAC-12:
BYU 24, Arizona 16
BYU 27, Utah 17
BYU 27, Arizona State 17
BYU 21, Washington State 19
BYU 35, USC 31
They deserve Utah’s spot fair and square!

They thought this was going to fool the defense so thoroughly that a 295-pound man could go 17 yards untouched with no blocking

Someone besides Oklahoma will win the Big 12 for the first time since 2014
Someone besides Clemson will win the ACC for the first time since 2014
Someone besides Ohio State will win the Big Ten for the first time since 2016

it is weird that we watch football if this angle. until we get the reverse shot, we have no idea whether the defense is totally blanketing the receivers or the QB is fatally afraid to throw

not so long ago Louisville was clearly better at football than Kentucky. now Kentucky has won 3 straight, all of them by 30+ points, and they're hurdling Louisville

Oklahoma’s Michael Turk just drilled a 50+ yard punt to the 6-yard line that the returner couldn’t get a read on and fumbled for an Oklahoma touchdown.
Turk actually has a higher yards-per-punt on the year than our hero Matt Araiza, but hasn’t punted enough to hit leaderboards
Replying to @rodger
my point is, this is the greatest year in Punting History.

it is AWESOME that Kansas ran this play for a 2-point conversion
but I'm gonna be honest there's always gonna be a little part of me that's mad that Kansas had this 2-point play in their playbook and chose not to run it in overtime to beat Texas 57-56

Hell there should be a new OT format every year. It would make the games so memorable. “Remember that time we won in sextuple OT? That was the year both teams had to take a guy off the field with each OT”

In reply to @rodger
I will take the 2-point conversion shootout 10 times out of 10 over the NFL OT.
Replying to @rodger
NFL and traditional college OT both give significant advantages to the coin toss winner (team that gets the ball first in NFL sudden death, team that goes defense first and knows how many points they need in college) the 2-point conversion shootout gives nobody an advantage

i'm gonna say it: i love the OT rules. perfectly chaotic.

This is, I believe, the first 2-point conversion shootout in SEC history, which means pretty much every fan invested in this game probably had no idea that this was a thing until this exact moment
