Todays #DACA decision is disappointing and underscores the need for Congress to pass comprehensive immigration reform. We cannot continue to keep these young adults in limbo. It’s time Congress provide a pathway to citizenship for our undocumented community.
Los Angeles is a city that thrives BECAUSE of the contributions of our Dreamers.

The lives of hundreds of thousands of people are in limbo because Republican Senators that my opponent has funded refuse to act.

🎉California has now become the first state in US history to allow almost all old convictions on a person’s criminal record to be permanently sealed thanks to Governor @GavinNewsom signing the landmark #SB731 into law!

CA has the opportunity to join other states and increase wage replacement rates for lower income workers. Let’s do this! Governor @GavinNewsom, sign #SB951.

I applaud the Governor for signing SB731 into law. My statement below:

No other state paid family leave programs pays minimum-wage workers less than California, despite our state's high costs of living. Governor @GavinNewsom can change this by signing SB951.
Today would be a fantastic day to expand the wage replacement in Paid Family Leave / SDI in California so this benefit that is paid by all workers, could be realistically utilized by all workers. #SB591 @SenMariaEDurazo

CA has the opportunity to make PFL/SDI more accessible for ALL Californians and join states like Washington and Connecticut in providing up to 90% wage replacement rate. Governor @GavinNewsom, do the right thing, sign SB951.
Expanding paid family leave is long overdue. Governor @GavinNewsom please sign #SB951, a Latino Caucus priority. Current leave benefits for low wage workers are the worst in the nation. This particularly impacts black and Latina women. Let’s lead again! @GavinNewsom pic.twitter.com/sKigVoo5r2

Thank you, @RepKatiePorter! CA led the nation 20 years ago when it established the first paid family leave program. If SB951
goes unsigned, CA will provide less wage replacement than any other state in the nation! Governor @GavinNewsom, sign #SB951.
.@RepKatiePorter breaks down why #PaidFamilyLeave is such a critical program that's not helping those who need it most: low & mid-income families that have to choose between earning a paycheck or caring for a newborn/family member. @CAGovernor SIGN #SB951 youtu.be/If7FtebBf9o

Governor @GavinNewsom, sign #SB951.
.@MariaEDurazo is right! CA’s current Paid Family Leave program leaves low income families behind, because it doesn't provide enough pay to allow leave. Time for change! calmatters.org/commentary/202…

The quality of green jobs still lags behind that of fossil fuel jobs, but SB 674 would ensure public contracts result in good jobs that fuel the transition to zero-emission transit. Email @GavinNewsom and ask him to pass CA's High Road Jobs Program! bit.ly/SB674letter

California @SenMariaEDurazo joins vigil participants to encourage then and lend her support. She has been ardent in asking @CAgovernor to show his respect for CA farmworkers by signing #AB2183

The choice is clear. Sign SB 951 and allow all Californians to access PFL or let the replacement wage rate drop to 55%. Governor @GavinNewsom, Sign SB 951.
🚨 @GavinNewsom has 8 days left to sign #SB951. This bill supports California parents and caregivers by making #CAPaidLeave affordable to all.

Income should not determine if we can care for our family. Urge the @CAgovernor to take action! workfamilyca.org/care4all

Governor @GavinNewsom can continue to lead on this issue by ensuring these investments transform people’s lives and their communities with good jobs. SB674 would protect our investments by ensuring competitive wages in zero emission transit.
For the 3rd time in a matter of days, Gov. Newsom has boasted CA has invested far more money into electric vehicle infrastructure ($10B) than the federal government.

"I say this with love & respect, but when Joe Biden...their 'big' announcement was sending CA $56.8 million."

Thank you Gov. @GavinNewsom for your leadership on investing billions in CA’s transition to zero emission. We need to make sure these transformative investments can transform peoples lives & communities with good jobs. SB 674 protects taxpayer’s climate investments by ensuring
