I know this is hard to believe but Brody Stevens was the first comedian I ever saw live. I wandered into the old Largo when I first moved to LA having never been to a comedy club and there he was yelling at the audience in all of his glory while they laughed and laughed ❤️

Same! He was at the first open mic I ever did, at the Hollywood Youth Hostel. He ranted for his whole set about a pilot at Fox being canceled. I was so confused about what comedy was.

Arms crossed negative, arms crossed negative, arms crossed negative. I’m about positive energy.

He was the first comedian I saw in LA when I moved here. Absolutely killed to a weird hipster crowd at the satellite. I was floored and a fan for life.

first time i ever saw Brody was at a show you were doing at church on York on 4/20.. he blew me away. Rip :(

All the stories of him are beautiful.

Brody did the crowd warm-up at the Oddball fest and I fell in love with his infectious smile and energy. He was one of a kind. Truly a sad day in the comedy world.

This REALLY fucking hurt and hit home today.

I watch this video weekly from another entertainer who also took his life this way. youtu.be/5dmQ3QWpy1Q Seeing this last cry from someone else who I enjoyed before they left this dimension is a weirdly bolstering thing

This is breaking my heart... I can't believe it.

maybe the best “welcome to los angeles” story of all

You will be my first live comedian tonight. Unless you count Seinfeld.

I hate this. Such a waste. Brings me right back to Harris. PLEASE watch out for each other!

Powerful Steven Brody Stevens! RIP

What? Oh no. I’m heartbroken. I don’t remember the first or last time I saw him but he was hilarious and kind. Fuck. May he RIP.

Omg so sad. He was an energy for good and wanted us all to share happiness

He was a special talent.

Tell natasha it wasn't a club it's a gay bar

He used to Periscope himself from his apartment winding up like a fireballer and flinging non-existent baseballs toward you, over and over and over. It was oddly relaxing. Wasn't as big a fan of his drumming lol. An open, thoughtful gent who refused to be fancy or over-prepared

I feel deprived to have never seen him live. If he was 1/10th as funny live as he was on Chelsea Handler, then it was definitely a sight to see

I didn’t know him except to admire his comedy and our mutual love of baseball but I’m so darn heartbroken Brody is gone. This really hit me today. So sad 😞

I’m a comedian virgin and have never seen a live show. I’m waiting for you to take my comirginity and come to my city. If you make it in the first of May you can also go to the Derby.

Thank you for letting me get to know him through TL ❤️❤️❤️💔
