The @LibDems enabled an austerity government which led to Brexit.

Their opportunistic politics are why Britain is in this mess - they are anything but the answer.

The Lib Dems know there isn't a parliamentary majority for a #PeoplesVote. They know, because Jeremy Corbyn has already voted for one. Twice. And it lost both times. Vince Cable is getting cheap votes by cynically promising something that is mathematically impossible to deliver.

In reply to @AaronBastani
The Lib Dems went into government with the party that secured most votes. They held the Tories back and implemented a number of progressive policies. Labour introduced tuition fees and are currently enabling a Tory government through sheer incompetence.

The UN report on #ukpoverty not only shames the Tories, but also the #LibDems who proped up their hideous austerity regime.
However long we have left in the EU, we need @UKLabour representing us there.
#VoteLabour23May

maybe if Corbyn had stuck to Remain you wouldn't be complaining, but if Lib Dems aren't the answer it certainly isn't commie Corbyn

Thinking of voting for the Lib Dems in #EUelections2019?

This video ⬇️ explains their history of cynical opportunism and their culpability for our current mess.

#VoteLabour to support a party that's working to heal the division caused by the LDs and their bedfellows the Tories.

Bastani voted Lib Dem in 2010 and campaigned for Brexit in 2016.

In reply to @AaronBastani
Voted labour all my long life. I’m a committed European, totally devastated that my 2017 vote is claimed as a Brexit vote. Corbyn should be deselected for defying Conference

This has to be my favourite tweet connected to the EU elections👇 Absolutely agree with the points raised... The Lib Dem’s, who are desperate to remain played a huge role in the Brexit vote being a leave win with their enabling of austerity. Great tweet @AaronBastani 👏👏👏

How does it feel to see Labour disappearing into the LibDems rear mirror in the #EUElections2019 polling?

In reply to @AaronBastani
Yeah that's just stupid. You can then just say anything in history led to Brexit. David Cameron is the one to blame for Brexit.

In reply to @AaronBastani
Tomorrow is about the UK being in the EU. If you want to Remain you vote Lib Dem or Green in England. If you want Brexit you vote Tories, Labour or Brexit Party. That’s it.

In reply to @AaronBastani
The Lib Dems are the Tory Party's pressure valve - nothing else

In reply to @AaronBastani
i turned against the Liberals was when they ousted Charles Kennedy, a man struggling with alcoholism, they were really cruel, from then on my opinion of them has been tainted, their coalition with the Conservatives consolidated my feelings towards them

In reply to @AaronBastani
Easy to criticise the Lib Dem’s for the coalition years, but they gambled their decisions in a trade off for the referendum on AV. Which looking back on it now is something that the country should of voted through instead of having the mess of 2 party political system we have now

In reply to @AaronBastani
This is what the LibDems helped to create. Typical DWP response, at the end. independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-n… and this: independent.co.uk/news/uk/politi… Whories in sheep's clothing.

In reply to @AaronBastani
Lib Dem think they can lecture those of us living and seeing poverty. We'll take no lessons from them thanks.

In reply to @AaronBastani
So the real enemy of @UKLabour is not Farage, but @LibDems . Something that most voters now realise and will vote accordingly against the Lexit party who favours a far right project.

In reply to @AaronBastani
Come on now Aaron, whether austerity led to Brexit or not you support a party that's as pro-Brexit as the Tories. At least the Lib Dem's are opposing it now rather than doing their best to try and force it through somehow.

In reply to @AaronBastani
enabled an austerity government by bankrupting the country and creating a record deficit of £156bn pa by borrowing £500m per day. pic.twitter.com/m23GEtTwtL

In reply to @AaronBastani
I've never been so angry and so upset, for so long about anything. What the Tories have done disgusts me. What Labour under Jeremy Corbyn have failed to do takes me to a deeper, more visceral level of fury and pain at their abject cowardice and betrayal.

The enablers of #austerity never forget.....

In reply to @AaronBastani
We're talking about now. And right now their position on Brexit puts them in direct opposition to Farage. Corbyn chose cowardice. Never, ever forget that. Corbyn chose cowardice.

In reply to @AaronBastani
The similarities between the tactics employed in this video, and the tactics employed by @PrisonPlanet in his videos are frightening. Deplorable.

In reply to @AaronBastani
New Labour laid the foundations cos they thought unbridled Thatcherism was the answer. But yes, the Lib Dem’s made it worse.

In reply to @AaronBastani
It's SUCH a good look, slagging off your opponents when you have offered NOTHING to the majority of your member base. Honda? British Steel? I'd like to see your leader have the audacity to say "not a single job lost" now.

In reply to @AaronBastani
Look at my chubby cheeks. Austerity hasn't touched me yet. Nando's anyone?

In reply to @AaronBastani
What are the Lib Dems for?. They are for jumping into bed with anyone who will give them the slightest whiff of power, and then treating the population like a skydiver with IBS.

In reply to @AaronBastani
Anyone would think Aaron was getting desperate given the woeful polling for Labour. Could have been avoided if they had backed remain.

What I think Aaron is saying here is that all parties are dickheads and we're fucked either way.

Never vote @LibDems again! Never forget.

In reply to @claredhunt
You need to get informed about what the LibDems really stand for - more of the same.

But this isn't a general election, just one issue: stop Brexit. You can vote for Momentum, sorry, Labour, when there is a general election. FOCUS!

In reply to @AaronBastani
For the purposes of this one vote , who cares? We’re clever enough to know when to vote for labour. Hopefully Corbyn will be on message by the GE

In reply to @AaronBastani
...as did the former Conservative/Tory @ForChange_Now (Change UK / TIG) MPs and Ministers (and MEP candidates), hypocritical as they are now implying the same about the Lib Dems...

In reply to @AaronBastani
No one should support a brexit party so you saying to vote green then?

In reply to @AaronBastani
As the Lib Dem’s day bollocks

In reply to @AaronBastani
Where do I start Are you against the 5p bag tax? Reducing plastic is good thing. We also go it for nothing Austerity was created by Labour no the lib dems or the tories. The coalition delivered less cuts then the labour's plan. The LD are still in opposition in those councils

In reply to @AaronBastani
I'm not a Lib Dem voter, but one of the alternatives would have been minority conservative government, which would have resulted in a similar paralysis as we have now at Westminster.

In reply to @AaronBastani
Go kiss Corbyn's ring Bastani.

In reply to @AaronBastani
Apparently Vince Cable late again today for pmqs. This to go along with being too late to vote on amendments to Brexit votes last year. I cannot bring myself to vote for them in the south west. I’m going for the greens as they may be able to stop BP from getting 4 seats.

In reply to @AaronBastani
They may not be the answer, but they *are* a useful too in this brexit debacle...

In reply to @AaronBastani
Says a member of a Party who have contorted themselves to face two ways thus giving the electorate a fudged imprecise message, and they now find themselves on the back foot and having to smear the Lib Dems.

In reply to @AaronBastani
They are far better than Labour and not anti-Semitic.

In reply to @AaronBastani
🇪🇺Austerity is the logical consequence of having the State household not in order, the @LibDems were correct to support #austerity measures. Nothing opportunistic, but realistic and responsible.

In reply to @AaronBastani
Well, we would like to vote for a party which a) will implement left-wing policies and b) is unambiguously opposed to Brexit, but THERE ISN'T ONE.

In reply to @AaronBastani
Still more of the answer than labour, although admittedly less of the answer than the greens.

In reply to @AaronBastani
Saw on bbc earlier a Lib Dem MP claim all students are now voting Lib Dem cos they want to remain in the EU so much.. whilst this is bull, every student should remember who is advocating scrapping fees and who went against their promise not to raise them in 2010! #NotProgressives

In reply to @AaronBastani
The Labour Party will not stop Brexit either, unless you dispose of your Leader.

In reply to @AaronBastani
Never trust a fucking centrist.

In reply to @AaronBastani
Labour under Corbyn are pure populist nonsense, promises that can’t be delivered. The pretence that Brexit doesn’t matter, that they can make us all better off and still leave. Fantastic lies. pic.twitter.com/bv9PD54VIw

In reply to @AaronBastani
Somebody is very scared of the LibDems!

In reply to @AaronBastani
Meanwhile, @jeremycorbyn & the people around him are STILL not clear on the defining issue in postwar Britain, so today I will not be voting for @UKLabour. Reluctantly voting @LibDems because I support their absolute consistency in trying to stop #brexit #EUelections2019

In reply to @AaronBastani
Desperate, desperate stuff

In reply to @AaronBastani
Yes,Maybe it will work for the People of Britain.. But THIS WILL WORK FOR THE PEOPLE of THE WORLD @TheVenusProject JOIN ME THERE.. PLEASE & THANK YOU !

I've always maintained that the Lib Dems we're ground zero for what's going on now.

Think the outriders are starting to worry about the Lib Dems.

The Lib Dems are why we're in this mess? Are you really sure about that? Seriously?

The Labour Party went into the 2015 election on a platform of supporting austerity, it went into the 2017 election with a tax policy the IFS rated less progressive than the Lib Dems, & it went into the 2016 referendum on a platform of enabling Brexit. lol

Can’t argue with a word of this! #VoteLabour23May

#VoteLabour23May because if you vote @LibDems you get brexit

The truth about the austerity supporting, Brexit spawning, @LibDems that they would rather you didn't know...

..., other than supporting Tory austerity? They have already said they'd rather be in a coalition with the Tories than Labour. Look at their Leader's records:
Cable: sold off the Royal Mail cheap to Tory friends in the city.
Farron: Being gay is a sin.
Clegg: Lied to students.

Nick Clegg now works for fb..!?! 🤯

"The LibDem track record in the UK Parliament under different leadership and nearly a decade ago is why you shouldn't tomorrow vote for the most prominent remain party for the EU Parliament elections. You should instead vote for Labour and allow your vote to be interpreted (1/2)

Don't vote LibDem to stop Brexit. Or ever.

Good question : "What exactly are the Lib Dems for?" Supplement to status quo.

Bollocks, absolute bollocks. Euroscepticism has been on the agenda in Britain since The Maastricht Treaty in ‘92 and The Referendum Party coming 4th by popular vote in ‘97. The Lib Dems did not do this.

In reply to @UKLabour
@UKLabour enabled the tories to the mess we are in, supported and propped up the government, @LibDems have been consistent #bollockstobrexit

A reminder of why you should NOT vote Liberal Democrat today! Either as a protest vote or a way to keep the UK in the EU. #VoteLabour, we are the only party that can deliver a better EU and a better society for all!
