And I pray the most impactful. It was done with excellence and to watch it knowing this isn’t fiction was mind blowing. You did it with 13th and you have done it again. This series will be used to educate others and hopefully change the way we view our justice system.

Deserves all the attention it’s getting! Sometimes a show is more than just escapist entertainment!

There isn’t enough money to repair what they did to those young boys. I hope karma keeps coming for Linda Fairstein. So well done, I cried at least 5 times an episode and also wanted to break stuff - the cast so human and perfect in their roles. Thank you.

Selma and When They See Us should be shown in high schools across the country. Everyone needs to see these works of art and truth, it will make us better. It's not going to fix everything, but sunlight is the best disinfectant. Congratulations on another triumph @ava.

Yes, mrs ava I finished watching yesterday. I NEVER sit and watch TV and or a movie like I did this series. I cried and got angry all at once. Thanks for enlightening the world! Garywdtea- Dishnation/Ricky Smiley Morning Show!

Thing I like the most? It means that a lot of non-black people are watching & getting an education.

In reply to @ava
You can’t hide from the truth, ‘cause the truth is all there is. Congratulations.

In reply to @ava
Because it's a masterpiece. It intensely activates the heart chakra and spirit. It agitates the souls need for compassion in the face of horror. It painfully enlightens. It makes us human. Artivism at its finest. It's still with me. A tremendous offering/gift. A blessing 🙏🏽♥️

In reply to @ava
Still getting up my emotional nerve to watch it but wonder if I really should have that option. Perhaps black ppl should be able to choose a good time emotionally and us white ppl should just be tied to the chair and made to watch it, ready or not. Love your work.

In reply to @ava
Well deserved. So moving, difficult to watch at times but beautiful 🖤🙏🏽

It needs to be required viewing. You can't watch the new Black Mirror until you learn about the effed up stuff that goes on in our current reality!

Even tho it was so hard to watch I thank you so much for bringing this story to light & helping ppl understand what they went through & what it’s like for us as parents of young boys.

In reply to @ava
I knew what had happened to these boys but had not realized that the family had also suffered. The police, prosecutors and the media were all in cahoots. They owe these families an apology.

The IMPACT. Doing it in the way only Ava can do. Couldn’t happen to a better creator. A truly good soul.

Igual de devastadora que Chernobyl, pero esta al menos tiene una luz de esperanza al final del túnel de la injusticia.

It was so intense at times I had to turn away, take a journey, scream, they were not lying.....

In reply to @ava
As it should be! It is brilliant and brave and painful and incredible!

Just finished watching #WhenTheySeeUs & feel utterly drained. And furious. But even though I'm angry with the individuals who stole the lives of these boys/men, it's really the whole system that's to blame. Good to see @ava's series is being watched by so many people. 🙏

In reply to @ava
Congratulations to all! The truth still matters to people

The movie speaks volumes about racism and injustice in America that continues today. A Powerful and emotionally provoking film that needs to reach as many viewers as possible! ! @netflix Congratulations @Ava !

Pours water. Get up please, let’s celebrate

In reply to @ava
Deservedly so. I think the series can have a racial awakening similar to Roots in the 70s and add fuel to the sparks of criminal justice reform. The television viewing audience is fractured now, but Netflix makes it available to people whenever and wherever they want. Congrats!

In reply to @ava
I haven't seen it yet but I'm working up the emotional strength to see it. I know it's going to take a toll but I realize it was much more of a toll on the young men who went through it. It's a story that must be seen.

I damn sure watched it more than once and I’m making my daughter write me a paper on it and her feelings as well #MustWatch #SummerHomework

Becuase it’s a masterpiece of storytelling and acting

This gives strength to believe Karma is on my side & #justice for #KEITHWARREN is coming

And believe me the injustice of it all is hard to watch

In reply to @ava
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Thank you for telling their story & congrats. Can't bring myself to watch it yet (from slavery to Jim Crow to redlining to state-authorized police executions, the PTSD is real) but, I'll get there!

In reply to @ava
As it should be. It is something the world should see. You did An amazing job.

In reply to @ava
This story needed to be told sis, the people needed to know about this cruelty. Thank you for this. 😢🙏🏽

In reply to @ava
Excellent show, the treatment of the kids by the Police was traumatic and very reminiscent of how Irish kids were treated by our local police in the 70’s to the 90’s not that I am taking away in any way what these boys went through!!!!

In reply to @ava
Because it was fantastic ❤️🙏🏽

In reply to @ava
Ava, I love your work and you did a phenomenal job with this production! Thank you for bringing it to light and for sharing their truth as they experienced it. I’m proud of you and especially proud of those brothers!

Yes. Absorb this reality, America.

In reply to @ava
Which is hilarious given that the #CentralParkFive were guilty, and When They See Us is a poisonous piece of fiction.

In reply to @ava
Oh.My.God. @ava Thank you for using the power of authentic storytelling and your commitment to #PreserveOurCulture and #OwnOurNarrative. My heart is full. My son was just 9 when this travesty occurred, we had to talk about being Black in America.
