The @NRA wants us to believe guns make us safer. Yet 400M guns in the hands of civilians and weak gun laws have given America a 25 times higher gun homicide rate than any other high income country.

Also 500,000-3million lives saved by guns soooooo

Since CA has the strictest gun laws, how does this happen? Oh yeah, people with criminal intent don't care about laws. #GunFreeZones are where mass shootings happen. At least @NRA has gun safety programs to prevent this.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
鈥淭here鈥檚 nothing we can do about this鈥- the only country where this is happening...

Good job cherry picking countries. There is no correlation between gun ownership rate and gun homicide rate. pic.twitter.com/NBLQo6sHDu

Just got off the phone with my wife and my guns that are locked in my safe have not escaped to go on a killing spree. I will however continue to monitor their activity.

This is absolutely false. It is not even true that the United States has the highest homicide rate in the G20, let alone the highest of all high income countries in the world. Like all gun control fetishists, Shannon makes up shit and parrots shit made up by her coreligionists.

This is the full list of school shootings in the same style as American ones that have occurred in Canada. These shootings span all the way back to the 70s. pic.twitter.com/ZTToKAeXjH

When you throw gun suicides in there it doesn't get any better.

Common sense gun laws work in the UK and all other developed countries - it's time for effective #GunControlNow! pic.twitter.com/h2ELTw69Xr

This nation needs more good guys with 鉂わ笍

3.6 people per 100 thousand don't die to school shootings, so don't use school shootings to push your agenda. It's incredibly disingenuous and disrespectful for the students at Santa Clarita

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Doesn't California have some of the strictest gun laws tho馃

Just like more candy makes us healthier.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
What's crazy is that gun ownership is possible in the majority of those countries. It's just highly regulated. Its almost as if strict gun regulation works 馃し鈥嶁檧锔

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Unfortunately I have lost all of my firearms in a boating accident recently, so I don't think I'll be able to comply with the bs laws that I'm sure are to follow.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
If you exclude Democrat owned Los Angeles, Chicago and Baltimore our homicide rate drops into the safest in the world. Why could that be?

Just a reminder, that red bar is not just a number. It鈥檚 dead human beings. pic.twitter.com/aI24vKvtWw

Could've been avoided had the shooter just followed the laws smh, criminals strike again

In reply to @shannonrwatts
A minor carrying a handgun. Illegal. Killing people in cold blood. Illegal (First degree murder). What will additional laws accomplish other than making it more difficult for law abiding Americans to purchase firearms. The @NRA is in no way responsible for criminal acts.

Until photos of the carnage are made public nothing will change

If voters keep holding the country hostage by continuing to elect candidates beholden to the NRA, maybe it's time for extreme measures: a mass infiltration of red states so the balance of voters swings away from them. I know it's easier said than done but something's gotta give.

Meanwhile in Brazil...

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Gun ownership has gone up every year yet gun homicides continue to fall. So ownership is obviously not the problem.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Wake up shannon ...where is your outrage on the 500 000 children that are missing this year at the hands of sick pedophiles ...... Take your head out of your ass with the gun control CRAP !

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Wait: you claim 400 million guns in America. If the guns themselves are so dangerous, then why aren鈥檛 there more shootings each day all over the US? Just 1% of the guns would be 4,000,000 a day. Just 1%.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
I have a major question how many more children have to be shot before we do something?

The Russian-linked #NRA won't stop until it turns America into a gun-stuffed killing field.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
But it's mostly in Chicago FACT

In reply to @shannonrwatts
We should make guns illegal to own. We should also make heroin illegal too.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
I would also add that a majority of these gun related crimes are gang related.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
More lives are saved by guns

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Thats because in other countries it Vehicle to plow through crowds and IEDs in crowded spaces or knives. The gun is not the issue. Its the person whos finger is on the trigger.

Fuck this shit! Even I, w/ all the guns I own, know this is not what our country is supposed to look like. We do NOT have to abolish the #2A to get our shit together & make America safer for everyone. Fuck cowards like @senatemajldr @LindseyGrahamSC @GOPLeader & Co. #GunControl

Consider what the regular street thugs and home invaders would do if they knew there were no privately owned firearms. NRA life member here.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Gun violence is preventable. #MoscowMitch needs to bring gun control legislation to the floor.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
If you take all guns away, we still have a higher homicide rate so look for another scapegoat or solve the actual fucking problem.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Weak gun laws? You know that California has the strictest gun laws in the country, right?

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Why don鈥檛 you ask why this is happening instead of how it is happening? The guns don鈥檛 pull the trigger themselves. The shooter is not a white male supremacist, nor did he use an AK-47 or AR-15, so what is your narrative now?

In reply to @shannonrwatts
What gun laws do you propose to prevent school shootings? I mean California has the toughest gun laws in the country.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
california has the strictest gun laws in the country

In reply to @shannonrwatts
In Canada we have had "Gun Control" for awhile, and do not experience the mass shootings on the scale and number of occurrences as the U.S. That being said, there is a high number of gang gun crime in our major cities as of late, and guess what's being discussed. More gun control

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Ok now do one showing Democrat run cities and those human lives killed from gang violence using black market guns. Please show THAT data and ask why people want guns to protect themselves. I鈥檒l wait for a logical answer from someone on what鈥檚 being done for THESE humans!

In reply to @shannonrwatts
But yet it happened in California where there are 鈥渟trict鈥 gun laws lol shut up and stop acting like guns are the problem there not it鈥檚 the people that use them.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
the kid didn鈥檛 even legally buy the gun. so elaborate, how the hell does background checks and gun laws stop this when he didn鈥檛 even buy the gun?!

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Abortions have killed soooooo much more. But yal don't wanna discuss that tho馃し鈥嶁檪锔.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Now take away suicide, gang on gang violence, police shootings, and justified self defense shooting, and tell me what the numbers are. Don鈥檛 forget to add stabbings, bombings, and car related terrorism to those other places. Thanks.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Yeah.. but those other countries probably have no video games.. Violent movies.. Single mothers.. Belief in God...馃槣馃槈

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Imagine the gut wrenching screams of the parents and siblings and friends and children who heard that their loved ones were gunned down today. And their never ending pain. Now imagine an NRA hack once again defending our non-action as a nation.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Whether they're eliminating environmental protections, or trying to repeal healthcare coverage, or refusing to vote on anti-gun-violence legislation, Republican politicians deserve to be recognized as a threat to public health in America.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
"...weak gun laws have given America a 25 times higher gun homicide rate than any other high income country." @senatemajldr has had background check bill on his desk since February. #MassacreMitch

1. Guns do make people feel safer.
2. 85%of gun owners are law abiding citizens.
3. Gun laws vary from State to state.
4. You're a celebrity, stay out of politics and dance for me.

The data doesn't lie...

crazy how our politicians always bring up Brazil when it comes to gun violence when they're not even the top 15 on this list.....

Crime rates with firearms have dropped 49% since 1993.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Shannon, is it really your position to take an incredibly complex issue and minimize it to a single causal factor? How does that help? Do you even want to help? What are your actual ideas to address the issue?

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Because "US" is code word for the corporation we call amerikkka

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Its shocking. Also is the rate not 7 times and not 25. 7 times more than Canada

In reply to @shannonrwatts
you are an abortion advocate so we know you dont give an actual shit about children, only to change a law to disarm law abiding citizens so ONLY criminals have guns

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Makes me and my family safer. Hell, I even teach my kids how to shoot. And along with that is gun safety and proper sight alignment. Yes, I鈥檓 from Texas where if you don鈥檛 have a gun we鈥檒l get you one.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Let鈥檚 be clear Shannon.....the @NRA wants Americans to shoot each other. They literally are paying lobbyist to make it easier to kill each other through the veil of the 2nd amendment using the blunt tool of the averages Joe鈥檚 blind ignorance to the meaning of being a 鈥淧atriot鈥.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
You won't be saying that shit when you may need a gun one day to protect your home. And BTW we are a ignorant country cause it is the youngest, So we still have a lot to learn, But taking guns is not the answer

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Check out VA residents right now. They鈥檙e ready to start a civil war over their gun rights and they鈥檙e dead serious about it

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Whaddya know! Proof gun laws do NOTHING. California has the strictest gun laws in America. Yet it doesn't stop violence. That's because #GunControl has nothing to do with keeping people safe. It's about controlling the American people and power.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Ever heard of Iraq, or just the country of Africa

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Per 100k residents is a bullshit way to measure it when we basically the population of all of those countries combined

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Why is it You believe the same people are going to continue to keep watching #gun #violence in media, video games, movies? Take for example a movie "#MeToo @CharliesAngels Slutty, violent, gun toting women. Same stuff. Normalized. Glorified. Kids are groomed. Families broken.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Here we go, it鈥檚 the same cycle. Shooting, ppl complaining about gun laws then everything goes back to "Normal"

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Fake news and border line pro-Hitler. Don鈥檛 they teach you in school that we need to learn from mistakes of others? Guess what Hitler did? Banned guns then caused a war.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
yes, ignore our vastly higher population than those nations. that has nothing to do with our social issues.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Blah, blah, blah. You're not getting our guns, Shannon.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
The white American gun crime rate is lower than most European countries.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Isn't it very funny how you seem to have left out the fact that most of those homicides take place in cities and gun free zones where the gun laws are already so strict that you can barely even legally own a firearm? 馃ぁ

In reply to @shannonrwatts
maybe schools are to blame.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
With all our guns, this government nor any other foreign government could stand up to the 400M guns we the people own. Dont be stupid Shannon, the NRA teaches gun safety and gun laws and have nothing to do with the mentally challenged idiots (crazies) that kill people. Wake up!

In reply to @shannonrwatts
So whats your point, Shannon? Whats your solution?

In reply to @shannonrwatts
We don't have a Gun problem, we have a Democrat problem.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
What is the homicide rate per 100,000 to include all homicides not just guns? If gun murders are higher but overall homicides are lower I would say that is a good thing.

In reply to @shannonrwatts
1/ Shannon, this is another tragedy. I've heard that California gun laws are stricter than the national restrictions proposed by democrats. If the gun was obtained in CA, what are your thoughts on the significance of this fact?

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Are we still talkin about this?

In reply to @shannonrwatts
Good ole Shannon, must of been getting anxious waiting on the next event to bash the @nra YET again. I may be going out on a limb here, but once again the NRA has nothing to do with this... #schoolshooting

In reply to @shannonrwatts
That鈥檚 actually a false argument.. you are more likely to die to clubs or hammers than to a firearm... most firearm deaths are suicides... only 400 people died to rifles last year... out of the ten thousand crimes committed last year with guns in general.. 6k were handguns....
