What a p*ssy @ICC! Need more like Rabada on the field. Dafaq you want a pacer to do after getting a priced wicket? Put hands in pocket? la*da level of decision!

In reply to @BBCSport
Wow 😂 what a soft sport

In reply to @BBCSport
Sensitive sport they call it😂. ICC is a joke indeed

In reply to @BBCSport
It’s an utter disgrace. We want to see passion! If he had done it to his face then yes, not on. But I don’t think the pitch has feelings!! It’s just laughable, I really am annoyed! Test cricket needs looking after and they do this crap!

Should have abused him to get spirit of cricket award...

In reply to @BBCSport
What Was Wrong With That Celebration???

In reply to @BBCSport
Ridiculous that warranted a demerit point. Well done @ICC for depriving fans of superstars!

In reply to @BBCSport
Absolutely justified! Completely ridiculous celebration!

In reply to @BBCSport
He has shown a complete lack of class on more than one occasion. This is why he is banned because he has accumulated too many demerit points!

People having issues with Rabada were enjoying his celebrations vs Aus.

Crazy! Banned for showing passion for claiming a massive wicket for his side! #SAvENG #bbccricket

Madness this, wasn’t even that big a send off! Explain to me how Cottrell doesn’t get any detriment points for saluting at a wicket? That’s more of a send off!

In reply to @BBCSport
Banning him for an entire test is very excessive

In reply to @BBCSport
He's not been banned for just that? He got a demerit point for it, as an incident on its own, but he now has too many so gets a ban. Like a footballer getting too many bookings. Not banned for one yellow, but multiple in a give time period.

You don't accumulate point after point on your driving license and then act shook when you get banned for running a red? Nasser's comments are ridiculous, he basically thinks he shouldn't be banned because he's one of the best in the world, same rules for everyone guys #SAvENG

In reply to @BBCSport
Yeh absolutely terrible to celebrate getting the England captain out - fun police strike again

In reply to @BBCSport
I'm South African but feel it's justified...numerous episodes of poor conduct to be honest.Only himself to blame

In reply to @BBCSport
But when England player aggressively verbally abusing batsman nothing happens lol

In reply to @BBCSport
He should celebrate the wicket again

White people banning KG for elevating will never not be ridiculous! #SAvENG #ProteaFire

In reply to @BBCSport
Lets remember its not just this incident that led to the ban...but also the points he earned beforehand. If he has a record of bad behaviour, he deserves the punishment.

In reply to @BBCSport
As crazy as being booked for taking your shirt off in football. Admin people killing competitive top level sport one rule at a time. Banned/booked for celebrating just sounds wrong doesn’t it? 😡🏏

In reply to @BBCSport
Who would want to be a bowler these days. With the batsmen friendly pitches, insane bat technology and the circus that is t20 cricket. What do Bowlers have left besides intimidation to get under a teams skin?

In reply to @BBCSport
Justified!!! You can celebrate taking a wicket however getting into a batsmen’s personal space is out of order! He had done it on more than one occasion. He has embarrassed the captain and the team, and he accepted the ban last night, not challenging it, shows guilt. Good ban

In reply to @BBCSport
Excellent. About time racist behaviour from black people was recognized. If an #ENGLAND player had celebrated in the same way, it would have been deemed racist. Good job, theres more class on the other side.#rabada

🤔 what do you guys think about this? #ENGvsSA #ENGvSA #SAvENG

Absolutely ridiculous

I mean this is good news for England, but this is terrible news for the sport! Guy being banned for celebrating taking our best players wicket, is shocking from the powers that be.

Yes it's his fourth demerit point but you're essentially banning a player for celebrating. Got absolutely no time for it, sport is about emotion.

ICC been waiting for that since that overturn against Australia.but it’s all good.😶

In reply to @BBCSport

In reply to @BBCSport
that's a disgrace 😂

In reply to @BBCSport
Now it is wrong to show passion in cricket.

In reply to @BBCSport
Oh no, he screamed in celebration after claiming the prized scalp of Joe Root. How does that warrant a one match ban, when Jis Butler was abusive towards Vernon Philanded and didn’t receive a ban?

In reply to @BBCSport
Lucky it wasn’t Stokes or he would have been banned for life!! 😡😡🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Good. You know the rules. Follow them or face the consequences.

In reply to @BBCSport
Lol what a sport

In reply to @BBCSport
Bit OTT. The celebration was over the top but so is the punishment. Shame.

In reply to @BBCSport
that’s a horrible clickbait headline. He received a single demerit point for screaming at Root. It’s his accumulated demerit points that get him banned - not what he did to Root.

In reply to @BBCSport
He was banned for accumulation of demerit points not for that incident in isolation.

In reply to @BBCSport

In reply to @BBCSport
That’s what you get for hurting Root’s feelings - naughty boy

In reply to @BBCSport
Whatever anyone thinks of the harshness of that particular celebration it is really deeply stupid of Rabada to do that when he knows he’s already on three demerits. He probably deserves the fourth one just for the idiocy #rabada #ENGvsSA

In reply to @BBCSport
ICC you are a joke. To sensible mxm

In reply to @BBCSport
that’s shite nag we don’t want to watch the best play against the best nah

In reply to @BBCSport
Can we move on!! 🏏✔️

In reply to @BBCSport
But nothing happens to Pope for swearing at a player?

In reply to @BBCSport
There goes passion for the game We should all be robots then😕

In reply to @BBCSport
Quite right. It wasn’t cricket. It’s the equivalent of a footballer scorer then running to the opposition fans and gesticulating at them.

In reply to @BBCSport
"Gentleman' sport" being used as justification. 😂😂😂

In reply to @BBCSport
Get over it you snowflakes. Its a sport full of emotions

In reply to @BBCSport
And so he should, Rabada has anger management issues, being in the face of Root the way he was is not acceptable #bbccricket

In reply to @BBCSport
Good, he’s a repeat offender.

In reply to @BBCSport
with no eye contact with the Batsman.

In reply to @BBCSport
Cricket is about respect and what he didn’t wasn’t respectful but don’t agree with the ban. Will teach him a lesson though 🤷‍♂️

In reply to @BBCSport
Imagine Ronaldo playing Cricket then

In reply to @BBCSport
His own fault like a big baby got plenty of history got a whole field to celebrate in

In reply to @BBCSport
Bullshit..so wat will happen if he took another wicket..should he cry?😕😕😕😞😞 pic.twitter.com/4ZhmoaPGru

In reply to @BBCSport

In reply to @BBCSport
No. This is bad. He’s an opponent, but there is no pleasure gained from seeing him miss a game. He’s a great bowler and clearly as passionate as you’d want any representative of your team to be - the fourth test is now a poorer contest for it.

In reply to @BBCSport
What about Joss Butler calling his opponent "a Fucking knobhead" Everyone heard it. Where is the sanction for that?

In reply to @BBCSport

In reply to @BBCSport
Man fuck the ICC, the whole SA team should not play the 4th test

In reply to @BBCSport
He is being punished for his past record really. Smh. Just like Xhaka used to get carded for his history more than the actual fouls.

In reply to @BBCSport
Joke. Why was that worth a demerit point????

In reply to @BBCSport
He can celebrate but don’t get in the face of your victims I played cricket and took many wickets but I didn’t jump into the batters space Rabada was on 3 demerits already he’s pushing it and now his team will suffer

In reply to @BBCSport
I have seen worse.

In reply to @BBCSport
I hope he goes up to Root in the dressing rooms and does the celebration again, in his face.

In reply to @BBCSport
Not really something to celebrate, Root is just one of the too many average players, that we currently have.🤔

In reply to @BBCSport
Cricket is a gentleman's sport.. give over he celebrates by rubbing in his face. Welcome to the world of sport.

Get a grip, did nothing wrong at all.

🙄 This is nonsense, like half his demerit points in the first place.

Clarification needed on this even in the main story.

What was the scream that triggered the demerit point to trigger the ban?

The ICC can do one 😂😂😂😂 bunch of snowflakes

Swearing gets you nothing but celebrating 🤦‍♂️ #ENGvSA

This is what i don't like about this "gentlemens" Sport, so ridiculous

In reply to @joehturner1
@joehturner1 what a shit sport. Imagine getting banned for celebrating.

Colonizers still winning out here

Mind you he didn't distract Root, swear or intimidate him but here we are... While Umpires are leaving No Balls uncalled. @ICC deal with your issues...

Cricket is such a pusillanimous sport.

Wow!?! What a bunch of softies

Did anything happen to the English keeper who was telling Vernon kak?
