Thanks for being objective and utterly honest @nassercricket, this @ICC only wakes up when they hear the name @KagisoRabada25 馃憞馃従馃憞馃従

Cricket is a sport and a game. He's out there playing with his mates just as we do. We're not robots when we play, we play with emotion and passion. I want the elite doing the same. Warne did it, Lee did it, Flintoff did it. Nothing wrong with it, he's a human, being human.

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Now that鈥檚 a man who is qualified to talk about real TEST cricket. Great point. Put the whole thing in context. 馃憤馃弿

1 point away from a ban, CSA spent money it didn't have on lawyers last time. You know ICC harsher on you, it's a trap, you walk right in. Don't get that close, simple. Learn.

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
How dare he celebrate the wicket of a key player

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Yes. Once again shameless bias by the ICC to the unions with deep pockets. Take away a fast bowlers aggression and test cricket will indeed slowly die

Nasser nails it.

This is not hard.

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
whilst Nasser is right, the ICC just had to level things out with Jofra Archer out. can't let the big 3 play with any sort of disadvantage can we?

It wasnt even too much emotion

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Totally agree.. He didn't do anything other than celebrating and finally u get a demerit point.. Signs that test cricket is losing its essence..馃う馃う

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Celebrate like mad. Celebrate like Imran Tahir after a double espresso. Just don't run to the batsman you've just dismissed and scream from a foot away. Not difficult. Have a bit of respect for yourself and the game.

As a teacher, I can confirm that the number of students signing up for cricket is dropping every year. This kind of decision is not helping.

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Also, why is celebrating an issue to begin with? There is nothing wrong there. Shame man, England, grow a set.

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
So if you want the players to not show their aggression on the pitch...then HEADSHOT the players on spot if they are found uttering the "F"-word... (RIP Aussies馃樁) Atleast young kids watching cricket wont be spoiled....Else let them show their aggression...

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Disagree. Unsporting! Last i recall its the Gentleman's game NOT football. Rabada getting worse. Poor role model in Dale Steyn. Not only ALL "about the numbers"! Poor Faf captaincy - he should go. Follow Ntini's way! #Proteas #SAvENG #ENG

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
No, he deserved what he got. The game will go on without him. He has to learn, clearly he is a bit thick.

Glad @nassercricket mentioned that Rabada was possibly letting out some pent-up frustration, having been relegated from new ball duties.

That was precisely my thoughts, but didn't want to offend some people on here.

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
No - Granada knows the rules - play within them- it's not difficult!

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
I often agree with Nasser but I don't on this occasion. KP was actually spot on with his take.

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Why not ask @root66 for his opinion. He was there in the middle. My guess is, he would say "All part of the game at this level" "As long as it stays the right side of the line EG Didnt swear, didn't touch, didnt get in my face" Do the Umpires discuss wiv the 2 Caps b4 reporting?

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Apart from anything else Rabada has stomped all through the danger area in that celebration #rightdecision

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Black man pays price for bruising white mans ego

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
I'm with Nasser. One minute we dont want 'robots' then this?

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Can鈥檛 think of any sport when invading and celebrating in the opposition space is acceptable.

In reply to @ICC
@ICC - decisions taken by old fat guys off the field who don't want a bowler to be happy he took a wicket? Next, fining a batsman for hitting a 6?? #SAvENG #Rabada

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
what u say on this?

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Everything has context Nasser. However as you said had previous and knows walking tight line. Afraid he only has self to blame and management of team not doing job

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Very ordinary decision. In that situation an on field warning would e plenty.

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Agree. Given the context.

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
You're a tit if you don't agree with him. Nervous to nail your colours, @ESPNcricinfo ?

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Racism unfortunately... Seen Warne n the Aussies do similar things

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
It鈥檚 not as if it鈥檚 the first time.

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
For sure! And then you get KP's opinion馃槧

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Emotions are part and parcel of human nature!! Its just normal reaction! When you work hard and achieve something, you express it! This is not a School!

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Agree with Nasser Hussain here, Rabada doesn't merit a match ban.

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Cricket isn't what it was! What ever happened to white line fever, Warne vs Cullinan, Donald vs Atherton. That's what made cricket. It's all gone so soft.

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Didn't some prominent person once call the ICC a bunch of jokers?

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Was MJ Clarke banned when he said "Get ready for a broken fucking arm" to James Anderson? It's a little unreasonable to ban a cricketer for being expressive. 馃槖

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
The rules r a joke u celebrate, sledg u get fined and suspended. Should be competitive and show aggression like u can in any other sport...#SAvENG

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Test cricket needs the players to show how much it means to them to be representing their country with a bit of passion. As long as a teams celebration is not directed at the batsman then i see no problem. The 4th test will be poorer without him we want to see the best players

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
If a batsman can celebrate a century without running up and screaming in the bowlers face then the bowlers should be capable of returning the favour for key wickets. Right decision. Maybe he'll learn to celebrate on the field and not on the wicket. @KP24

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Absolutely. He is spot on.

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
100% agree! KG has been targeted from the minute he dared to breath his black breath onto Smith in the Australian test. That was a manipulated move by a team of cheaters! How dare KG not move into the outfield to allow the 鈥渂aas鈥 to pass. Not okay. He may as well quit!

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Well said Sir.... well said. Give that man a Bells @nassercricket

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Absolutely! I have never seen a kohli get banned for the things he does on the cricket field and don鈥檛 give me that demerit points shit! Those points are only for a team that is not Indian cricket team!

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
By ICC, who sat down to make the decision? Can some provide the names, i'm just curious

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Nasser is correct! That reaction is not deserving of any punishment.. he was still in his follow thru.. he made no hand jestures, no verbal attacks.. just being emotional.. u guys been killing the game for a while now.. limitin bouncers per over..

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
The cricket world all got excited to see archer runnin in at that spped.. real contest between bat and ball.. the like of viv, autherton. Allan borber, sachin had no such protection and that was what made it a spectacle.. now what we have.. flat pitches...

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Repeat offender. Smartarse. Good call by the officials

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Where the batting skills arent on display.. what better sight than to see greenidge cuttin merv hughes.. boycott against holdin.. sachin vs ambrose.. viv againt rackerman.. come on .. shameful to see rabada being penalised for being emotional and respectful..

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Agree with KP not Nasser. Rabada is a serial offender and needs to learn. He is a poor role model for kids at the moment.

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Absolutely. A total disgrace.

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Don't agree with him. Re: Jos. Just turn stump mics off. What's said on the field stays there. But equally it was celebration of key wkt, but also get MH's view that he encroached maybe too much on batman's space? Shame that demerit point was 1 that took him over limit.. #SAvENG

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Absolutely in agreement with the former English captain. Emotion is an important part of the game and it becomes rather more important for a fast bowler in a test match game. Surely you need to regulate it, but ban of a match is too harsh. #Rabada #SAvENG

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Why not ICC ban Kohli?

In reply to @ESPNcricinfo
Don't agree. You can celebrate a key wicket without running towards and screaming at the batsman from less than a metre away.

I'm with Nasser, these prices running cricket are shit house.

Take all the emotions and characters out of the game, @ICC. Let's have robots play crickets instead. #Rabada

Nothing wrong with @nassercricket views, completely agree with him. I also completely agree with @KP24. The lesson to @KagisoRabada25, take that emotion just a few meters away from the batsmen. #greatbowler #ProteaFire

The ICC wants to remove all passion from Test cricket, a game that is already suffering from a lack of passion.

Doesn't he kind of mince his words by going "ps I know he has previous." ?? He's right, also

These norms of behaviour have more than a whiff of racism - what the old white Englishmen who wrote these rules do is acceptable and there is no place for what young foreign people of colour do. Time for the rules to change (the balance of power in cricket already has)

In reply to @Mahoota11

Not at all.
The rest of the series being worsened is irrelevant, and if anything works in favour of the decision, his team mates are more likely to have words with Rabada about his stupidity.
No one is saying you can't celebrate, just not in such owe proximity to the batsman.

Yes. 100% agree. Spot on. Well said @nassercricket

And on top of this... 2 Beamers from Archer in Centurion were actually fine to a TALE ender too 馃馃馃馃槆

Absolutley. @ICC wants to make cricket even more sterile...the end of this beautiful game is drawing near due to their absurdity
