and then he does this intimidating, signature black swan pose, which if you notice closely, is repeated throughout the choreo. THEN HERE’S MY FUCKING FAVORITE PART. the dancers in black /start copying his movements/...instead of controlling him. he has conquered his demons. pic.twitter.com/dRgTbyX6Er

which brings us to the ending sequence—a throwback to the exact same pose where he started: demons trying to grip him. BUT then there’s a new pose, and that’s where the song ends. With our free, strong black swan on top, his demons at his feet. This is BTS. Fade to black.

I hope this thread helped anybody who might have been confused!! Honestly the entire dance routine is a complex story told in movements and I could very well be wrong, but this is how it resonated with me. What do you think? #BlackSwan

i loved this part, because, like Yoongi's lyrics in Shadow, the Black Swan is not /without/ shadow - but they're not overpowered or drowned or burdened by it. Instead, they're keeping their head above and flying /with/ their shadow; they're higher than the start WITH their shadow

This whole video was a beautiful representation of the struggle it represents to be able to accept your shadow and yourself as a whole and how after that you are complete, you are one whole human and now what used to stop u helps you rise

wow he accepted his own shadows "Many media ask how you get over the hardships and bad things. I answer you can’t. You have to be friends with the shadows. Sometimes it’s too much and too big for us, but to survive as an artist and human, we should be friends with the shadows."

I DONT KNOW WHY BUT I AM TEARING UP WHILE READING YOUR ANALYSIS

Lo que nos lleva a la secuencia final — un recordatorio de la misma pose del inicio : demonios tratando de agarrale PERO ahora es una nueva pose, y es donde la canción termina + twitter.com/yoonderelIa/st…

yo i had goosebumps

Thank you so much for this Kyra. Especially because now I put the lyrics together with the movements and it gives such a profound description of a complete picture. It's mind blowing. Thank, thank you, thank you.

i interpreted the ending pose as the swan can now fly after all of its battles but its shadows are a definite part of the swan being able to fly. therefore, your shadows are a permanent part of you no matter what & they can co-exist with the ego like you said

In reply to @clouderella
The final part where the shadows imitate the swan and help him fly is my favorite, even without knowing this, it is the part that excites me the most since the first time

which seems to bring us back to shadow’s lyrics ➡️ “shadow at my feet. Look down, it’s gotten even bigger”

As a dancer for 20+ years I completely agree. This was definally a deep story and one that needs to be told.
