Can鈥檛 believe this didn鈥檛 make it into the Kylie Minogue tourism ad
Please come to Australia. Please.
This too looks like it will be excellent for tourism 馃檮
This is what happens when you don't use sustainable agriculture practices (which would increase yields) and steal all the water from rivers and streams. #auspol

With the continuing drought come dust storms - Dubbo today.

The only thing #ClimateEmergency is good for is extraordinary photography.

#ScottyfromMarketing and his mates at @LiberalAus want tourists to come to Australia, because, like, everything is really ok now!!! #auspol #ClimateActionNow

I hope you guys are resilient and adaptive... Seriously, stay safe, and look after your people.

should use this image in their new campaign to win back disaffected international tourists...

Topsoil delivery to bowling green a bit irregular.
More extreme weather as another huge #duststorm rolls across drought-stricken Central NSW. In this picture it is just about to engulf the Orana regional capital of #Dubbo, a city of nearly 40,000 people. Hidden within the dust cloud, a storm brought rain and thunder. All is well.
Because Australia hasn't been Mad Max-y enough lately... #duststorm
Dubbo is in the electorate of Parkes and they elected a Nationals MP at 66% 2PP, so they can go fuck themselves. Enjoy the dust. #auspol

How good is land clearing? Is not like anyone was warned.....
one state is flooded, another is on fire, parts are experiencing tennis ball sized hail and now there鈥檚 a fucking dust storm?? this isn鈥檛 normal. australia is going through a climate crisis.

"Only in Australia"... this is where my oldest son & his wife live, about 3 hours west of us here. He said it was bittersweet, as some rain fell *after* the dust came thru! || Australia - bushfires, floods, drought, snow, cyclones, heatwaves! "Come for a visit!" [lol] ||
In reply to @HeathHarro
Lucky we don鈥檛 need our topsoil for anything important
Bush fires all over, hail storms in Melbourne, dust storms across inland NSW, floods on the Gold Coast

It's almost like we should take this climate change stuff seriously...

In reply to @HeathHarro
Nice dust storm. Been happening for years. Part of living out in the bush. #cityfolknoidea #reality #duststorm

Whoa. Stay safe Dubbo Buddies
I have to go to Dubbo for work, the week after next. I hope this doesn't happen then...
.. as well as the giant bushfires, once in 100 year storm, giant hail, we now also have giant dust-storms. Australia's summer of climate change assisted weather extremes is a day by day proposition.
In reply to @HeathHarro
Good timing-the Joads are here on holidays just now.Love those tourist dollars.
The #ClimateEmergency never ends. It never ends. Is this the end?
In reply to @HeathHarro
Last time this happened was when Broken Hill got slammed and then the next day Sydney copped that Total Recall landscape with red dust in 2009.

Australia is copping it from all angles right now.
In reply to @HeathHarro
Well with no ground cover due to the fires, the next thing will be the stripping of the top soil in dust storms. The fires are only the start of it.
Just in case you thought a bit of rain would fix everything
Dubbo dust bowl @Ausshot3Dave @TwitterMoments Australia duct bowl Dubbo
Hmm, land clearing national parks is like put a bandaid on a plague victim
The new normal in Australia. For the American 'tweeters' who deny climate change and lecture me about this unique continent, which they have never visited, these storms, like the fire's, are increasing in size ferocity & frequency.
In between fire and floods come the dust storms. #Australia.
Yeah, sure, #ScottyFomMarketing, a prize tourist destination.

That鈥檚 a beauty, my Mum who lived in Redcliff spoke about dust storms that were part of life during the 1930s
Welcome to the dust bowl 2020 style. Can confirm that this is now a regular occurrence. What are the environmental impacts of the topsoil going?

Amazing! My mum grew up on a farm just north of Dubbo in the 1930s and 40s and she tells stories of the dust storms they had to endure.
In reply to @HeathHarro
Mother Nature this summer...wow
In reply to @HeathHarro
Isn鈥檛 that pretty normal for Dubbo? My mum lives in Broken Hill and they get them a lot.
