#Kentucky’s treasured coal communities are a central part of our Commonwealth’s heritage. I am proud to stand with our coal miners and their families. Together, President Trump and I have ended Obama’s regulatory War on Coal. Now we’re doing all we can to repair the damage.
.@SenateMajLdr: As the only congressional leader not from New York or California, I’m in a better position than ever before to deliver for Kentucky. With the partnership of our pro-coal president, I’m answering your calls & proudly supporting coal families kentuckytoday.com/stories/securi…

Mitch and I have made great progress. Coming back fast!

Let’s recap: your tax scam lavished PERMANENT cuts for big corporations. You could have secured the benefits earned by Kentucky’s miners afflicted by Black Lung for a DECADE. Instead, YOU insisted on only a 1-year "fix" ... Total B.S.

If @senatemajldr knew anything about coal mining in Appalachia he’d know miners are rarely in shafts tall enough to stand up in and they spend their careers on their hands and knees crawling through the mines sucking in dust. He should be on his knees begging their forgiveness.

In reply to @senatemajldr
The coal miners with medical conditions, that you turned away, when they took time off to see you in your Washington office? Are those the miners you are talking about?

In reply to @senatemajldr
Your ability to do nothing but gaslight is amazing. From August 2019: "The number of coal jobs in Eastern Kentucky... went down 15.2 percent compared to the same period in 2018" kentucky.com/news/state/ken…

In reply to @senatemajldr
If you really stood with Kentucky' coal miners, you would pay to train them in clean tech and clean energy and switch from coal to green. But money....

Remember when #MoscowMitch refused to meet with coal miners with black lung disease?
Is this how you support your coal miners Mitch?
Leave them without jobs and healthcare?!
And how are those drug bills you refuse to pass?!
Mitch only stands with Mitch

Your state is ranked 44 of 50 to live in. Why not fix your problems instead of taking cheap shots at Obama for regulations to protect the environment! You have over 400 bills on your desk. Your dereliction of duty is unbelievable! You will be defeated by Amy McGrath. 👋 🐢

In reply to @senatemajldr
Yeah that's what we need, more coal. You and Trump have only a few years left on this planet, how about saving it for some of the younger folks.

. Coal is dying a slow, natural death, and NOBODY can stop it. You should stop lying to your own constituents . . . .

In reply to @senatemajldr
Coal is more expensive than solar, it’s dirty as shit, and the entire dirty as shit coal industry has fewer workers than Amazon. Do something that matters you fucking conman grifter shitbag.

In reply to @senatemajldr
The coal industry needs to be replaced with clean new energy. Stop living in the past of pollution. This bold. Think clean. Black Lung Disease won't happen with new technology.

In reply to @senatemajldr
Treasured coal communities that you're perfectly fine poisoning as a result of Trump's rollback of water/air quality rules that limit what coal mines can dump into the air and water. You side with the mine owners who profit on the disposable miners.

#MoscowMitch does NOT care about Kentucky!!!

“We rode up here for 10 hours by bus to get some answers from him because he represents our state,” said George Massey. “For him to come in for just two minutes was a low-down shame.” #MoscowMitch reuters.com/article/us-usa…

Translation: Now that I might lose my seat I better pay attention to my constituents. Of course rolling back Obama regulations combined the fact that Republicans have screwed up their healthcare, many of my constituents may die, but fortunately for me, only after they voted.

All kinds of "Favors" came thru to these Republican senators who acquitted Trump. Remember, they ignored the 75% of us who wanted our reps to oversee govt & produce evidence at the fake trial. GOP took away the rights of the People that the govt belongs to pic.twitter.com/xqk6mn0p5y

Meanwhile a busload of KY coal miners with Black Lung Disease went to DC to meet you to talk about healthcare. You gave them THREE MINUTES before hurrying off. 3 Minutes. You do NOT deserve another term to destroy this country. @AmyMcGrathKY @KyDems

There once was a man from Kentucky Who lived in the swamps where it’s mucky. He covered up crimes, And it’s way past his time Let’s see that he’s no longer lucky. #DitchMitch

This is how he keeps his job. He lies. You've done nothing to repair the damage of the now dead coal economy, for the health of our miners, mining communities and our state. Deregulation only hurts Kentucky families. Stop lying.

It wasn't Obama's regulation, it's the dependency on natural gas. You are not being truthful to your constituents. You are feeding them lies! COAL ISN'T COMING BACK!

In reply to @senatemajldr
Burning coal is doing vast damage every day to the planet. Burning coal is also doing more to destroy your Commonwealth’s heritage than any environmental regulation could possibly bring about. Wake up to the existential threat that is climate change.

In reply to @senatemajldr
There was a time when communities depended on whale hunting to keep our lanterns lit. Instilling in people that coal will provide a viable living for them and their children is giving them false hope when they should be preparing for jobs of the future.

You’d think with decades in office, Mitch would’ve made helping these people a priority before now. Weird. But he means it this time. You know because he said it with a straight face, although to be fair he only has a straight face.

Coal mining has been in decline since the 1940s. It is over. Forever. Lying to miners is what a scum bag would do. @AmyMcGrathKY to #DitchMitch2020

In reply to @senatemajldr
What about the rest of this country and the 300+ bills you’re sitting on #MoscowMitch ??

In reply to @senatemajldr
#MoscowMitch and @realDonaldTrump are lying about the #coal industry. Coal in #Kentucky is quickly becoming obsolete and support for coal miners is nonexistent. Black lung clinics are closing and Medicaid stripped when needed the most. The #GOP has forgotten the coal miners...

A civilized country would retrain coal miners for another job while paying them during training. End coal and go Green. But of course that's a civilized country! #MoscowMitchBoughtAndPaidFor #MoscowMitchKochPawn #KochPlanetPollutersAreInCoal

I talked to a coal miner a few weeks ago who said you refused to meet with them after they drove hours to see you. “He could have at least pretended to care about us.” Shame on you, #MoscowMitch

In reply to @senatemajldr
So the best thing you can think of to help people in KY who rely on a failing, very dangerous industry that causes terrible health problems is to keep them at it so their corporate overlords continue to rake it in & fund you. Do I have that right?

In reply to @senatemajldr
A couple of "stable genius" we have here. So Trump and McConnell have their plan to save the deadly (and dying) coal mining industry that employees LESS than 7,000 in KY. Just ignore the FACTS of climate change costing 10's $BILLIONS - TX/FL hurricanes, CA fires, SC/NC/IA floods.

Poor struggling Americans come to Canada for our affordable prescriptions. A supply of Insulin in the States is $3000. In Canada $300. This is CRUEL. SHAME Republicans. SHAME. Positive vibes from Canada 🇨🇦

In reply to @senatemajldr
The industry is dying. Even if there was a way to "repair the damage", coal is dead. Do NOT tell your kids to go to work at the mines. Send them to a tech school and learn computers or auto repair. Don't send them to the same unhealthy industry to make someone else rich.

U.S. intelligence officials warn: Russia is helping re-elect Trump. And McConnell is helping Russia by refusing to protect our elections. No punishment, in my opinion, is to great, for the man who can build his greatness upon his country's ruin' -George Washington pic.twitter.com/c7yO7630FA

My great uncle had black lung from the coal mines. and by the way most places in the mines you cannot stand up straight in. You are all talk and no action. Just like you didn't let your constituents know that Russia was interfering in the election. Kiss your job goodbye

Coal is poisonous to the environment and is a dying fossil fuel industry. The best thing for the miners benefit is for them and family to retrain for green jobs that will make them financially stable and the environment healthier.
