Bloomberg claims the fight between Jews and Palestinians has “only been going on for 40 or 50 years.”

To say the roots of this conflict go back less than a century is to hugely misunderstand both sides. #DemDebate

Interestingly enough, that’s about the time the Soviets decided to turn hard against Israel. Coincidence?
True. He missed by at least 2,500 years.

The roots go back - in real terms - to the late 19th century. With the emergence of the imperialist settler-colonial Zionist project. pic.twitter.com/OjxPvjfjlf

Well, the roots may run deep, but on the surface Jews & Palestinians in the region got along fairly well, even after 1948. And also, the Arab states were allies with Adolf Hitler & welcomed his plans to exterminate the Jews, which Yasser Arafat plainly stated as leader of the PLO
After watching this clip of Bloomberg, it finally hit me that he’s a billionaire ventriloquist that’s running for president. If he’d start throwing his voice like I know he knows how, he’d secure the “W” tonight for sure.

But of course Palestinian Arabs is a modern day designation. Technically, there was no conflict between Israel and “Palestinians” until recent times so he’s not far off. They weren’t called Palestinians in until modern Israel arrived in the last 70 years.
He left off one or two zeros.

Another example of speaking without the proper information in front of them. Just say nothing. They say the stupidest things just to make noise and it makes them look retarded

Not so. Jews Palestinians and Christians lived in peace until 1948 when Israel was made a country. Peace existed only as long as Muslims knew Jews had no land and were a dispossessed people. War started ever since they were given back their country.

The roots go back to the birth of modern Zionism in Europe in the 19th century and the subsequent colonization of Palestine by European Jewish emigrants of a land which they had tenuous links to and sparse claim on. By all contemp. accounts Jews/Arabs got along well before then.

Soooooo out of touch

He said “the Jews in Israel”. So technically it’s 70 years not 40 to 50. If you have to purposely misquote him to get your point across, you suck at your job.

The term ’Palestinian’ appears to have first been used (after Biblical times, ie ‘Philistine’) in 1898. Prior to that while the land was called Palestine, it’s inhabitants did not identify as such.

You know what I find interesting Dems are again promising everything to assist the black voter. But they haven’t done anything to give what they promised with past elections. 🤔 Do your research! IT TOOK TRUMP TO HELP WITH THE BLACK COMMUNITY. PROMISES MADE PROMISES KEPT!

Ok, Bloomberg, go back and read your world history books again! This tribal conflict has been going on for centuries! #Dumb-ocrats #delusion-ocrats #getschooled #learnabouthistory

Isaac and Ishmael are younger than I thought.

Mini Mike is a joke at best.

It started when Israel was reconstituted. Before that, there was no palestine or Palestinians.

The root of the dispute is "allahu akbar."
In reply to @Hagstrom_Anders
Yep I would say the roots go back to Isaac and Ishmael, Abraham’s two sons.

How is this guy a successful media man
In reply to @Hagstrom_Anders
It is NOT a fight between Jews and Palestinians! The problem is zionism and it’s genocidal Middle East policy.
Maybe a few 100 years since around 650ad
