I get why they’d say this, but if Bloomberg decides to spend $20 million registering voters in Arizona, Bernie would order him to stop?

As a Socialist, he'll take it by force AFTER the election.

My actual motto: I’ll take any motherfucker’s money if he’s giving it away.

Bloomberg will either spend the money to help Sanders (if he is the nominee) and hurt Trump, or he won’t. Sanders has zero say in it.

And Weaver knows this.

I still don’t understand what this means — if Bloomberg wants to spend $500M on voter reg & turnout operations in swing states, will Bernie send him a cease & desist?

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Me and 10 million of my freinds are gonna power this movement instead. #NotMeUs #Bernie2020

From the dumb side of the Weaver family tree.

on this topic, Bloomberg adviser @howiewolf told reporters "Bernie said he didn’t want his money, I don’t think it would be prudent to spend on behalf of somebody who didn’t want it. I think it would create a message inconsistency for that candidate."

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
From the dumb side of the Weaver family tree. Jesus.

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
This is idiotic. The goal is winning. But if Bernie is at the top of the ballot, then Bloomberg's money is going to be better spent on House and Senate races anyhow.

Because Bernie would rather be right about his theory of elections than to win.

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
“The little that I am, the little that I am hoping to be, I owe to the Socialist movement. It has given me my ideas and ideals; my principles and convictions, and I would not exchange one of them for all of Rockefeller’s bloodstained dollars”

This is meaningless — in a general election Bloomberg can give Sanders only $2800.

And if Bloomberg wants to spend his own money to elect Sanders, independent of the Sanders campaign, Sanders can’t stop him.

Good to know that Bernie won't accept the money that Bloomberg hadn't offered him.

A candidate does not have to take —and is actually forbidden from taking— independent expenditures made on his/her behalf

What do they mean 'Sanders himself had not gone this far'???? Bernie has made it very clear he doesn't want and won't take Billionaire's money for as long as I've been aware of him ..

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
So @BernieSanders won't take Bloomberg's money in order to beat Trump? And we are still asking if Sanders is really out to beat Trump or just out to promote himself?

Jeff Weaver completely believes those "us against them" messages they keep sending to bernie's cult of gullible rubes.

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Then you don’t know Bernie. He was never gonna take Mike Bloomberg’s money. Omg are you kidding?

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Weaver has already said this in a news appearance days ago

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Bernie’s National Press Secretary said this last week.

[Record scratch.] Yep, that’s me. You’re probably wondering how I got into this mess.

Bernie’s campaign more determined about who they’ll exclude than about putting together the coalition to beat Trump.

Is Bernie Sanders suicidal? Don’t take us with you! What are you thinking?

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Lie Gary, Sanders has always said he will not take money from billionaires.

DISQUALIFYING ANSWER.... and Warren goofy ass would say the same thing.

I see Jeff Weaver still lacks basic understanding of campaign finance law and the relative use of babbling about a single individual's hard dollar contributions

Christ almighty this dumbass might go to the White House

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
This claim is absolutely laughable. Of course he’ll take his money. Gladly. Enthusiastically! Bernie is a political whore. That’s how he found himself running against HRC. The DNC needed him to prop her up, & he was well paid for his services.

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Hell MoFookin Yes!! We the people will happily and enthusiastically fund Bernie in the general.

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Bloomberg should give it all to the house and Senate races.

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
as if bloomberg won't just stay in the race as a 3rd party spoiler or go full mask off for trump once bernie gets the nom

It’s easy to give a hard no to something that will definitely never happen!

This is a guy who couldn’t have been less helpful in winning back the House in 2018.

Take the mission at hand seriously.

Post Citizens United, this is kind of irrelevant.

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Welp, another reason not to vote for Bernie everyone

Stupid is what stupid does.

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Isn’t he getting paid something like $10m taking it out of the hands of the gullible? Or was that Ted Devine? So many marxists, kremlin stooges I’m losing track of the extent of the grift. #NeverEverBernie

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Yessssz!! We don’t want Bloomberg’s poison!

Going to file away this tweet for the general election

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Previously Bernie said he didn't need Bloombergs money,he proved you can run campaigns on no billionaire money

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Why would he? Why should he? That's just sickening. He has built an enormous movement and is the front runner in the face of Bloomberg spending $400M. We neither want or need his money.

Good. This is how it should be.

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Doesn't matter. Bernie won't be there.

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Sounds like Bernie doesn't want to win the general election. I don't think he understands what it takes to beat Trump and is stuck on his (eventual) losing strategy.

I mean telling him not to spend is illegal coordination

This is going to be awkward when Bernie makes Bloomberg his VP

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
It called sticking it to the Man. It's called the 99% club, that fight for somebody you don't know pic.twitter.com/P368yswvMx

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Hell yeah. That's part of why millions of us are mobilized instead.

That’s short sighted. The eventually nominee needs the resources to compete. But if Bernie gets the nomination, perhaps that Bloomberg money will be better spent protecting the House and winning the Senate to ensure some checks and balances if Bernie can’t beat Trump.

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Empty words. The only money #BernieSanders can accept or not accept is the $2800 maximum #Bloomberg could give to any candidate. What Bloomberg is claiming he will spend cannot go to the nominee. #democrats #election2020

Reason 23(b) not to vote for Bernie. He's an egotist who's not focused on winning. He's focused on himself.

In reply to @GaryGrumbach

Don't take a penny, Bernie. We got it. #Bernie2020 #DemDebate

Of course he won't, Communists don't win with money.
They're busy SCREAMING against the proletariat and spitting crazy theories like Bernie.

This is a losing strategy. Sanders as our nominee will be a huge mistake in so many ways

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
🌊🇺🇸🌊🇺🇸 Democrats I would definitely vote for: Klobuchar Biden Buttigieg Bloomberg Candidates I will never vote for: Sanders Steyer Warren Trump Sorry......

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
This is the dumbest thing I’ve heard all election season. Let’s lose but feel good about it? Tell that to the kids in cages. This alone is disqualifying.

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
looks appropriately skeptical

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Another reason not to vote for Bernie. We need these $ to defeat Trump and get our house and senate seats!

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Bernie thinks he is Jesus nailed to & carrying the cross❗️ tRUmp has some competition now❗️ pic.twitter.com/afFpZH7M5j

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Pretty sure Sanders made clear that he wasn't ever going to take Billionaire money. This was a sticking point when Warren said she'd be open to it in the general. I unfortunately think they both have valid points. Pragmatically, whoever the candidate is, we're going to need cash.

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
So does that mean he’ll stop using the DNC resources 🙄

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
You question the Bern, taking Billionaire $? Really?

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
That is the stupidest statement. If he is going to beat trump, he damn well better take Mike's money. 👎👎👎

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
We need to nominate someone that is serious about winning and not just appeasing his cult.

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
If Sanders doesn't want to win, let's nominate someone who does.

Jeff on the other hand...? Soft yes

Why is Bernie’s team so suicidally stupid?

Sanders isn't going to have a say in it. Bloomberg will give money as he sees fit.

Well shit....... I know folks who took Bloomberg’s insane $$$$ because the employment contract did say pay to work for the nominee who they assume now is Sanders. Win/Win. But I seriously doubt @BernieSanders culture that wouldn’t take his own activists would have taken staff.

Not likely that Bernie will have to. I feel the Bern and Sanders is toast. #sandersistoast

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
lol. Sanders has said no in the past. Please get your facts straight!

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
That would be idiotic.

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
thank goodness there’s no relation.

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
This is dumb. Build the infrastructure. Selfish. Petty. We need to play to win big baby men! Maybe men are too emotional to run campaigns or countries. They might need fainting couches .@Mike2020 .@BernieSanders .@ewarren pic.twitter.com/YUjt1QmMfl

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Sheesh! At least take $27 of it

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Bloomberg shouldn't give him one dime. He is constantly whining about his money. Let him continue to raise it.

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
This is just stupid.

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Yeah? Well, ol' Jeff is a liar or a fool. He's paid to tell lies after all and Bernie knows better.

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
That’s not who Democrats need at the top of the ticket. It’s going to take MONEY to defeat Trump and this level of arrogance will ensure he’s re-elected!! 😒😒😒

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Bernie is so edgy, he wants to be the first President to win an election where he convinces no one to vote for him...

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
How to lose a general election.

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
Why is this even a question? Of course he won't.

In reply to @GaryGrumbach
This is a stupid and moot point. Bloomberg can’t GIVE millions to anyone but himself. That’s the law. Bernie is being con man Bernie. Only stupid people follow Bernie. He says shit that are obvious to any educated person and makes it sound like an epiphany.
