I remember being in Paris say 4 years ago with a small child & thinking how nuts the cars were. What an incredible change for the better.

For the people proclaiming cars have just moved elsewhere. The number of cars I count managing to pass through the area being filmed (rather than getting stuck in the jam) is GREATER in the second half!

Building cities for cars is not only bad for the environment it's an incredibly inefficient way of transporting people.
We can change our traffic choked streets into safe and friendly spaces. It鈥檚 just a matter of public will.

Biking in Paris when I lived there from 2011-13 was a nightmare. Almost got hit several times.

What an incredible transformation from congested car filled streets to bike and scooter friendly streets within a short period of time!

Almost good. Now remove the cycle lane, make the car street narrower and build a separated cycle path, with some grass and trees on the sides.

This is what happens when politicians in a city actually take bold steps and don't just pay lip service to creating a more liveable city. Anne Hidalgo has been killing it in Paris and its an example to us all

From a technical point of view it's more efficient, denser, quicker and doesn't destroy the planet...

...but overall, isn't it just...nicer?
