Everything about this tweet is just sad

The fact that he thought many of those things help rather than harm because of LMHR keto shitstains is just disgusting

Not claiming I know the cause of his CVD, but holy fuck you clowns werent helping (LDL ok cuz high HDL low TGY tho?) https://t.co/2FKZ180zqm

The LC comments are hilarious. Can't blame the carbs as usual since OP didn't eat any, so it must be his genetics and that he exercised too much LOL

Take a long hard look in the mirror and ask yourself: have I fallen for b.s.? Am I being objective? https://t.co/vJmtSuZhP3

Merklig hva en miks av anabole steroider (eller testosterontilskudd som han kaller det lenger nede i tråden) og "carnivore"-dietten kan gjøre. https://t.co/xfkOtqgIBP

@TheCarnivoreKid Sorry to hear. Likely multiple factors. Diet wise - the best data we have (genetic, observational & clinical intervention studies) suggests a diet rich in animal foods that jacks up ApoB will significantly raise risk of atherosclerosis. It’s sad people are being told otherwise.

Friends! Please read this.

I talk about this so often for a reason.

Many of us are walking around with CHD and don’t know it.

Please start getting tested early, even in “only” 30’s. Get a baseline.

I really hate to nag but it’s so important. https://t.co/ezQlqfkYct

Sorry to hear and glad this was caught in time.

But the answer: because no diet is magically protective against disease, and popular diet trends may not always be conducive to good health.

(*no inferences against *well-formulated* low carb diets, which are perfectly fine) https://t.co/1GQObX9ZtY

@TheCarnivoreKid I reccomend reading the Canola Oil Code by @The_Nutrivore. The Foreword of @TuckerGoodrich is also a very nice read. This book changed my whole life and looks at the benefits of a unnatural diet and the secret defense mechanisms of unprocessed food ? https://t.co/4pfkPO6XzR

@TheCarnivoreKid The immediate reaction is "it's the diet." I recently met a superfit man, all his life, big exerciser, thin, muscular, not on a low-carb diet but more the other way, who got a CAC done at his insistence, with a very high score. All lipids normal. But, strong family history.

	MEDIA_TYPE=''
	true	false
@TheCarnivoreKid Michael, it could easily have been years old calcification from before your improved diet.

Many stable plaques can remain calcified for a long time.

This is why change in CAC score is more meaningful than a single CAC score.

Just a thought.

@TheCarnivoreKid Excellent that it was diagnosed. As a physician interested obviously in health and fitness it's critical to understand that coronary artery disease has tons of factors and isn't ONlY about diet and being trim/muscular.

@TheCarnivoreKid carbs don't block your arteries. Fasting does weird shit to your body. Where were your fats coming from? What was your family history (different genetics do different things with foods). Lots of reasons why this might have happened... fad diets aren't always a good fit.

Ice baths and saunas thrice per day?
Were you eating 3xRDA for salt?
How much sunlight?

@TheCarnivoreKid @Plant_proof Why would you think eating low carb/ cutting seed oils would help your heart? Is this a parody account? I’m guessing with the name “carnivore kid” you didn’t realize how that contributed? Mind blowing that people think consuming animal products is “clean eating”.

@TheCarnivoreKid Blocked arteries are largely caused by high ApoB which strongly associates with high cholesterol & especially LDL-C. Both genetics & dietary factors like eating a diet high in saturated fat & dietary cholesterol contribute to this. If your doctor says statins & low SF, listen.
