This is fantastic commentary. Based on the shot tracer, I think Berger is correct that the ball crossed much further up than what Vic and Joel were saying.
Tv cameras can pick up if someone moves their ball mm in the grass but can’t see where his ball cross the line! Come on

Add a modified push out rule in golf. Line up Hovland and Berger between the two drop zones and whoever pushes the other guy to the other spot wins.

How the hell is the final rule up to the players discretion? It’s not like they’re playing for 20 million dollars. Get the cameras out and make a rule, don’t force them to argue
Its seems like its all about the angle they're watching it from. If Joel and Victor stands to the left of Daniel when he makes the shot, it will clearly look like the ball never crosses ahead. Looks much closer from Daniels view though 🤑

Definitely think Berger was right. It's up to him to make the call. But what was better is that he dropped it where Vic said to, which eliminates negative cognitive for himself. Berger handled it responsibly well and should be awarded a sportsmanship award by the tour.
It is like a referee in the NFL spotting a punt that goes out of bounds on the fly, it won't be perfect and he's losing a stroke anyways so drop and play on.

The Tour has a TrackMan on every camera. Top Tracer can be measured on every shot. Shot Link measures shots to an inch. How can they not have technology to help with this?

Daniel Berger needs to stop believing he's more competitive by arguing.
It’s ridiculous for Hovland to call him out like this when he had a worse angle, and the video shows that he was almost certainly wrong.
I heard them talking about it but they didn’t show all of this. They never showed the video of it.
This is not difficult. These guys are playing for $3.6 million to the winner this week. Rules official with every group. No asking players to call balls and strikes on one another. Just asinine this hasn’t been figured out yet.
