So now the govt can shut down your business, force you to take a loan, then call you out for it. Wild.
Rep Kelly's auto dealerships employ more than 100 people. The gov't shut biz down during COVID and told him to keep paying their salaries. He used PPP to do that, as DC requested.

Now, in the name of politics, @JoeBiden is attacking him for it. Because #Unity.

Republicans say nothing for nobody else but them.
This is the same soft-totalitarian approach that was adopted throughout the Warsaw Pact. If you accept anything from the State, even something ostensibly freely available to any citizen, they will use it as a handle with which to control you should you dissent.
I could watch the White House trolling GOP grifters till Devon Nunes' cow comes home

Republican Mike Kelly (PA - you can do better!)- almost $1 million in loan forgiveness. Direct into his own personal pocket. Sorry that is fair game when Mike Kelly comes out attacking student loan debt relief as somehow unfair.
.@MikeKellyPA Holy Crap! I'm paying off your $987,237 in PPP "loans" ?? Time to pay back the plumbers & carpenters you stole from! Your net worth is more than $12 MILLION !!!
In reply to @WhiteHouse
The abject absurdity in equating the PPP loans (which were given with the understanding that w/ certain conditions, they would not have to be paid back) and a student loan (which is UNDENIABLY a contractual PROMISE to pay back said loan) can’t be rooted in anything but dishonesty
It's hard to make the argument when your hands were in the government pot too... expose them ALL
I’m a professor in Mike Kelly’s district and I’m thrilled people are getting some student debt relief and I’m voting for @DanPastorePA because we clearly need new representation in PA 16!
You’ve won the internet when #BlackTwitter approves. I don’t make the rules.
The @WhiteHouse is being absolutely savage on PPP Loans.
In reply to @WhiteHouse
Can you tweet what business/businesses the rethuglicans have for them to get millions of dollars government handouts.
In reply to @WhiteHouse
I can’t believe the actual @WhiteHouse account is behaving in such a childish way. For a group that loves to bash mean tweet meltdowns, this is pretty low class and petty. I was under impression this was supposed to be the grown up administration.
That's what I wanna see. Chef kiss dot gif.
Not sure which is more concerning:

If the Biden White House actually thinks PPP and bailing out the wealthy’s student loans are the same thing, or if they know they aren’t and are purposefully trying to mislead people.
In reply to @WhiteHouse
Almost a million dollars forgiven, and this dude has the audacity to complain about my 10k
Lol make a video of Biden calling all of these hypocrites to congratulate them on their windfalls
In reply to @WhiteHouse
Dang @WhiteHouse! Throwing shade and I am here for it!

WHY ARE POLITICIANS RECEIVING PPE LOANS? They should not be allowed to participate!!! Seems like a conflict of interest, like employees of a company not being able to qualify for a contest they're running!

White House bringing the 🔥 for a change and I for one am stoked to see it
The @WhiteHouse is going for it!!!

I hope @HouseDemocrats go ALL THE WAY and cancel All Student Loans and/or Cancel ALL Past Interest on ALL Loans even those making over $125,000.

People like Kelly, Green, Buchanan etc. make more than $125,000 & could’ve paid back something.
In reply to @WhiteHouse
Why did these Republicans get loans in the first place. What possible justification could there be?
Screaming at this level of petty
البيت الأبيض ماسك كل عضو في الكونجرس ضد قرار بايضن بإعفاء قروض الطلبة و يقول كان واخد قد ايه إعفاء وقت الكورونا و مش فاضل غير يردحوا لبعض!
In reply to @WhiteHouse
What about the teachers, nurses, policemen, social workers, that are benefitting? They would pay their debt if they were paid a decent salary for a professional occupation.
In reply to @WhiteHouse
This is how it should have been the whole time calling people on their lies. Directly.
PPP Loans were designed to be forgiven, the bill passed unanimously by Democrats and the money given went to pay for payroll for businesses that were forced to shutdown by the government.

The White House usurped constitutional power to forgive student loans.
😂😂 @MikeKellyPA $987.237 in PPP loans forgiven but whining about the students loans
In reply to @WhiteHouse
Yes, we know what the GOP believe: "Loan forgiveness for me, NOT FOR THEE."
Mainline this right into my veins.
In reply to @WhiteHouse
Good for you WH. Keep it up.
Mike Kelly is literally a used car dealer. How anyone in Butler County looked at a used car dealer and said, "Yes! I'm sure he's an honest guy!" is beyond me
🤣🤣 Haha! Again?
$987,237 in PPP loans forgiven?
And you willingly accepting PPP loans in the 1st place was not ? Relax there’s more money for you to steal.
Rep. Mike Kelly, whose 16th District includes all of Crawford County, was among several members of Congress trolled by the official White House Twitter account for criticizing President Joe Biden's student loan forgiveness plan after they had enormous loans of their own forgiven
So businessowners shut down by government who used PPP to keep paying their employees = college pukes who sought out loans to pay for their Gender Studies degrees? Is that the @WhiteHouse argument?
In reply to @WhiteHouse
The hypocrisy,of the Republicans,is astounding.
The White House Twitter was clearly taken over by a fed up millennial who's had enough passive aggressive bullshit and I am here for it
In reply to @WhiteHouse
This seems like pure corruption. How is this justified for a congressperson to take $1 million in taxpayer money and not pay it back?
This is what Whitehouse does?
In reply to @WhiteHouse
lmao the white house just straight up dunking on congress members. I love it.
In reply to @WhiteHouse
Mike Kelly is a joke, and a disgrace.
In reply to @WhiteHouse
Among businesses that received money was a California hotel partially owned by the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, as well as a shipping business started by Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao’s family. Chao is married to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell
In reply to @WhiteHouse
So was giving you close to $1 million in PPP loans. Because obviously you forgot about that.
In reply to @WhiteHouse
Anyone else totally fine with the government just not loaning money to anyone ✋🏽 I am. Also taxation is theft.
In reply to @WhiteHouse
I wish I was a business owner during the pandemic. 😭😭😭
The hippocracy is getting old and the WH has had enough
In reply to @WhiteHouse
straw argument is stupid as is his hypocritical stance inference that cancelling $10,000 of student debt is bad policy. It's criminal to take nearly $1 million in PPP funds & not pay it back. Small biz owners who really needed loans didn't get them while he did.😡
In reply to @WhiteHouse
Will he have to pay taxes on the cancelled debt? As per irs rules?
So glad the plumbers and carpenters didn't have to pay taxes for your loan Mr Kelly...oh, wait....what?
In reply to @WhiteHouse
The White House made it sound as if the PPP was pocketed by business owners. While it was given to pay employees. This is very misleading.
