Go away Gideon. You won鈥檛 ever be forgiven for the unnecessary and vindictive austerity policy you inflicted on the majority of the people of this country.

In reply to @George_Osborne
If only you and Kwarteng swapped places, we鈥檇 have had fiscal stimulus in 2010 when private sector balance sheets were deleveraging and inflation was low. Maybe none of this cycle of woe would have happened.

Truss and Kwarteng: 鈥淲e believe in the markets!鈥 The markets: 鈥淲e absolutely do not believe in Truss and Kwarteng!鈥 #ToriesOut82

You be quiet. You set us on this path.

Odd to see a former Chancellor who intervened with The FCA, compromising its independence, to protect his crooked P2P Tory donor mates saying anything tbh. You and they should be in prison. altfi.com/article/9445_t鈥

In reply to @George_Osborne
How on earth you have the face to comment? YOU DID THIS! You and your political motivated austerity that killed many and left us in this mess. Traitor!

In reply to @George_Osborne
It was also odd to see free marketeers focusing policy after policy after policy aimed at keeping the housing bubble overinflated, wasn鈥檛 it, George? So much of what comes next is on you.

In reply to @George_Osborne
You told us not to underestimate Liz Truss. There was no evidence for this.

鈥淭he gulf between the free-marketeers and what the free market actually thinks of the free-marketeers is hilarious,鈥 said a former Downing Street aide who now advises City bosses.

In reply to @George_Osborne
Like claiming they were demanding austerity when interest rates were close to zero, you mean?

In reply to @George_Osborne
Odd to think you think you still have any authority on anything.

You鈥檝e seen the Daily Telegraph鈥 the markets are now 鈥渓eftists鈥濔煓勷煒

Odd to see free marketeers supporting government borrowing to feed the free market.

Poor people's life standards in the UK are worse than in Slovenia for example. Abolishing poverty is not a tory policy.

In reply to @George_Osborne
You are the architect of this country鈥檚 decline with your austerity - you were warned against it but Tory dogma was more important as it is today. One day this country will wake up to how dangerous the Tories are and the belief they are better with the economy will be exposed

In reply to @George_Osborne
Gideon, are you still a Tory member? If so, why?

Agreed. Tory economic policy is bonkers.

Equally, odd to see any Chancellor ignore mainstream economic thinking and the lessons of the 20th Century and choke economic growth through austerity back when borrowing was cheap.

12 years of Tory mismanagement.

If markets rely on government intervention to correct them then they aren鈥檛 鈥渇ree鈥. The whole concept of markets free from government intervention is an ideological myth.

In reply to @George_Osborne
A tory ideology tripping over itself to stay logical innit.

In reply to @George_Osborne
4 jobs Gideon. Where鈥檝e you been hiding lately?

Probably something to do with an insider trading corrupt government

I love to see this genre of tweet, this site is like the modern location for papal indulgences

Imagine how many Austerity measures will have to be Implemented to pay off the debt? We'll look back with Rose tinted glasses with the savage cuts that you made in the name of fiscal responsibility....

I'm now retweeting George Osborne.
Such times! 馃槼

In reply to @George_Osborne
As your idol Mrs Thatcher once said "You can't buck the market."

In reply to @George_Osborne
You would do well to keep quiet, I think, George.

Unfortunately, #KamiKwasi is the latest in a long line of Tory chancellors peddling voodoo economics - Latter Curve, trickle-down, and your personal favourite George - austerity/Reinhart-Rogoff.

In reply to @George_Osborne
Did you get the word from kwarteng on the crash to cash in

In reply to @George_Osborne
What is wrong with conservatives? Not interested in the environment, or people鈥檚 welfare, health or potential. Only in preserving their inherited wealth! Shame on them!

In reply to @GeorgeOsborn
Seems the actual former chancellor is also amusing

In reply to @George_Osborne
Shouldn't you be sniffing coke somewhere? .. oh you are!

In reply to @George_Osborne

Just what I was thinking! But it follows form, with the previous leader saying "F*** Business" #Capitalism #MarketEconomy #Libertarian

In reply to @George_Osborne
Get back in ya hole ya gret cretin!

In reply to @George_Osborne
Really don't think we need any economic lectures from the architect of a needless austerity, thanks all the same.

In reply to @George_Osborne
I would have thought, being the architect of Austerity, you'd keep your head down on matters economic. Haven't you done enough damage?

I rarely agree with Osbourne, but he's right.

In reply to @George_Osborne
George you killed people during your tenure as chancellor, get off our high horse, if you were an MP you would gladly jump to defend Kwarteng

In reply to @George_Osborne
Not as odd as free marketeers consistently pumping up the housing market

In reply to @George_Osborne
Even odder to see government grab RM pension assets of 拢22bn to keep the uk out of depression, and then sell off RM for another 拢4Bn and still be in the shit we are today

It's odd to see people who claim you can exist on nothing but sunlight eating food

This issue at hand is that New Keynesians - who dominate modern economics - don鈥檛 like the policies of Austrian School鈥

And since the former are dominant - the latter is called crackers

In reply to @George_Osborne
Insightful Gideon

In reply to @George_Osborne
Well your plans at the desk really worked out !!

Rejoice, for the long lost former chancellor is found, and has repented for his sins with some sarcastic tweeting. Praise be.

You do realise you鈥檙e admitting in public that the emperor has no clothes, right? There is nothing 鈥渇ree鈥 about the market whatsoever, it鈥檚 a market fix in every sense of the word鈥 鈥渇ree market鈥 has always meant fixed market and you are accepting defeat to that fact in public

Even whacky George knows it's crackers.

Free market government? So who exactly has committed 拢150bn to freezing energy prices?

In reply to @George_Osborne
You don鈥檛 get to speak after doing the disgusting inhumane treatment of the people in Britain. David Clapson and Errol Graham deserved better than death from a lack of the basic necessities for life.
