Most farms are located in remote areas and the cost of generating power is burdensome.
Thus, there's a need for farms to be self sustainable, reduce overhead cost & drive profitability.
My team recently installed a biogas plant on a poultry farm in Bayelsa and it's interesting one

Cool thread, not to sound cynical but there's a whole lot left out regarding QHSE. Going through the pictures and videos, I see a lot of health and safety risks. You don't want to spoil so much hard work with one careless fire incident. Wonderful idea though

What the thought estimate for a farm with 100 pigs, where 70 are adults pigs and 30+ compromises of both small size pigs with weaners... Located in Ogun state...what the rough estimate pls

On average, what's the cost implication? If one is to convert the waste to power the farm. Mind you, there's tons of waste to recycle. At the moment, we produce maggot from chicken poop for catfish, and sell ruminants and broiler waste to crop farmers up north.

Commendable....can you imagine the possibilities if the Region controlled its resources &applied same towards working, mastering its environment for internal development. The current structure is derailing all around progress. Wishing you continued success.

Do you do this for homes? How much will it cost for a home on the average? Will the gas produced be enough to power the home?

In reply to @honorableEAZY
Excellent and very encouraging, however, the way pipes are ran overland makes it very untidy, and more tidy job could have been done. Cheers

How do you intend to evacuate? As little as I know, livestock feathers do not ferment in Anaerobic tanks sub surface reactors. Any dehydrator or desulfuriser?

I have a 1000 bird capacity poultry farm in my village. Can you give me an estimate of how much it would cost?

In reply to @honorableEAZY
Is this possible with human waste? If possible, maybe we can now produce our gas at home to save more cost. I also saw a research in secondary school about generating electricity from urine. Can your team also look into that? You can DM me, if you need more info.
