I believe in Jeff Saturday’s intelligence & character; not his hiring. There are so many layers to this. Is it about Privilege, race, nepotism, relationship , or respect?

In the end the comfort & familiarity of friendship overwhelmed Irsay… & could overwhelm the locker room.

If it was a black former player like Marvin Harrison Ryan would be saying great hire.what a 💩

Think like a grown up, not a child. Why did irsay pick Saturday? Because as a fan he sees the oline as a disaster. Who does he know that knows oline better than anyone? Jeff Saturday, only because Howard mud isn’t here anymore. Irsay trusts Saturday and it is his team. The end

In reply to @Realrclark25
Gonna be real awkward in the offseason if Jeff Saturday returns to ESPN

In reply to @Realrclark25
Shut up! Move on. Stop making it a race thing like everyone else

In reply to @Realrclark25
So realistically if youre coaching another team would you leave that for an interim position on a team thats looking like it wont do you any favors in showing what you're capable of? And for coaches on the team, colts are playing terribly why would they get promoted.

In reply to @Realrclark25
So after your opening about all the things the hiring of Jeff is not about you immediately turn and regurgitate that sentiment and wouldn't you know it...you made it about race! Lol it's comical at this point which is obvious with your look off camera at the desk. Do better Ryan.

In reply to @Realrclark25
Honest question: See as though the Colts seem to be tanking at this point...Would you rather him had hired a head coach of color to finish out the tanking process and ultimately lose the job at the end of the year?

In reply to @Realrclark25
The problem is that if it was a "different" coach and the season continues on it's current trajectory they'd fire him and he'd be labeled as a bad hire. The privilege is not only getting the job but the understanding that the second season is part of the offer.

Dude gave the same shpeel on LSU hiring “another white guy” with Brian Kelly. He seems pretty happy now with LSU hiring “another white guy”

In reply to @Realrclark25
Interim, emergency, objective and trust without a long term commitment. Totally different.

In reply to @Realrclark25
You’re such a piece of 💩 for this rant. What the fuck does any of this have to do with race? It’s a coach! White privilege? You’re just baiting for woke @espn it’s called networking. Probably why you are where you are. It’s not race, it’s character, work ethic, relationship etc

In reply to @Realrclark25
The man who gave you a job for 13 yrs asked you to do this what do you do?

In reply to @Realrclark25
You're all willfully blind. The Jeff Saturday hiring was 100% about tanking, nothing else. He was given the "interim" job with that label so the NFL can't do anything about it.

In reply to @Realrclark25
Can't wait till this hire works Keep the same energy in your apologies

In reply to @Realrclark25
Privilege 😂 coming from a guy who handed a job over others with more experience

In reply to @Realrclark25
Why do just assume he is going to come in there and demand this and that from the coaches and players that are gowing through this tough season? You are discrediting Jeff's self-awareness by assuming these things. STFU Ryan.

It’s just real talk! That’s all. Jeff is a great dude! Listen to his point. 👂🏽

In reply to @Realrclark25
Who would want the job no QB and a coaching staff I am sure did not want to explain why they took the job in there next interview Racism has nothing to do with it and Jeff Saturday is not your friend ESPN should fire you

In reply to @Realrclark25
Let's just see how he does. Then, give opinions. I'm not a fan of speaking of judging the ability of people who haven't performed in the role they were chosen for.

In reply to @Realrclark25
There are three black head coaches in the NFL, roughly 9%. Black population in the US, roughly 13%. In their minds....mission accomplished. Qualifications be damned. pic.twitter.com/aetrC3oTGN

In reply to @Realrclark25
It's more about freedom to hire whoever the damn hell you want to - that should really just be it without all the empty narratives and blame attached to it - be better RC

In reply to @Realrclark25
I believe it’s Jim Irsays team. He owns them. Payed for with his money. It’s his choice who he wants to be interim coach. The end.

In reply to @Realrclark25
Sorry - it’s none of that - Irsay just wants to lose so he could get the no 1 pick

In reply to @Realrclark25
Ryan why then is it acceptable for retired athletes to become commentators with zero experience or secondary education all while those who spend thousands of dollars and 4yrs of their life are shunned and never given an opportunity on ESPN??? Hmmmmmm……😏#doublestandards

Race? Right. What a joke.

In reply to @Realrclark25
My goodness people. It’s not that deep. This dude is the CEO of a rapidly sinking ship and is being brought in for his leadership

In reply to @Realrclark25
Wow. Didn’t see that hiring coming. Incredible. Shit keeps on happening.

In reply to @Realrclark25
And all of those things give him that one privilege you wouldn’t understand, he can be fired because the day ends in “Y”.

In reply to @Realrclark25
Maybe it’s about the owner of a business getting to hire who he wants to hire?

In reply to @Realrclark25
You should buy a team

In reply to @Realrclark25
its about when Manning jumped his ass and told him to run the damn play

In reply to @Realrclark25
The pillow talk comment is null and void, you could use that with every team. Saturday is a former player who played smart and was a tough center. He will have the respect from the players right away. Silly comments RC

In reply to @Realrclark25
I can’t wait until all HC in the NFL are black so we can stop talking about this every time a white person is hired.

I think the media needs to stay out of this y’all causing more of an uproar then actual fans are! If your not signing checks it’s not your business. Win lose or draw y’all will have a field day about something

In reply to @Realrclark25
You are despicable! Raciest!

In reply to @Realrclark25
Maybe the owner trusts him?

Man I always thought I liked @REALCLARK25 until he just became a politician. Let's just talk just to throw up...nonsense. it's not about race, but it's about race. I don't drive to work in my car. I take the bus, and when my plane lands I'm not an employee, I'm the boss. And i..

In reply to @Realrclark25
Why is everything about race? Why would you wanna put Wayne in a situation where it's a no win situation?

In reply to @Realrclark25
More qualified white guys were passed over as well. iTs aBoUt rAcE

In reply to @Realrclark25
I agree with you. I believe in you as a bad ass Safety. Not as as a sports analyst.

In reply to @Realrclark25
He is going to sign him to a 3 year deal after this to make sure they are hot garbage for the next 3 years while also trading every possible pick for the 2024 and 2025 NFL drafts. Gotta get Harrison Jr and Manning somehow duh

Just wondering how many black coaches were interviewed by Ballard and Irsay in that five minutes after during Reich and before hiring Saturday ? Asking for a friend 😎

In reply to @Realrclark25
Agree with your sentiments, but there is an aspect lacking here—where is the culpability on Jeff for actually accepting the position he is insanely under qualified for?

In reply to @Realrclark25
Can always rely on you to make it about race. Colts are a trainwreck and Saturday will be back at ESPN and you will act like you are his best buddy.

In reply to @Realrclark25
Ryan Clark always pulling out the Race Card! C’mon Man! Try keeping hope alive, not racism alive.

In reply to @Realrclark25
Stfu.. it’s Jim Irsay’s team let him run it how he sees fit. Every time somebody doesn’t hire a black coach doesn’t make them a racist or the system races so shut your freaking faces

In reply to @Realrclark25
Gus Bradley’s offense? Thought he was the DC? Lol

In reply to @Realrclark25
"I'm really happy for Jeff but this is white privilege"- Every ESPN analyst

In reply to @Realrclark25
I don't think you can make a statement like that without all the facts IMO.

In reply to @Realrclark25
You’re a racist. If I own a business I am entitled to hire whoever I please. I don’t care about your race or feelings.
