It is interesting to me that of the 69 new members of congress elected, only 12 have no political experience. I feel like in Canada the majority of members of parliament these days have no political experience, just because their jobs are less important. washingtonpost.com/politics/inter…

I feel like here in BC the sort of people who run for parliament these days are like, relatively undistinguished local businesspeople or people vaguely involved in non-profit work for organizations you’ve never heard of. Skills don’t matter because few will enjoy much agency.
