It’s extraordinary that Fifa have threatened yellow cards for players who wear a OneLove armband. The World Cup should be a celebration of diversity & respect for difference across the globe, regardless what country is hosting. Football is for everybody. irishtimes.com/politics/2022/…

"Football is for everybody", so how about they stick to football instead of virtue signalling the latest thing?

It should be a celebration of football. Have you returned the €2000 donation yet.

Just finished watching a video of a Russian POW being tied up, placed in a coffin and being burned alive by Ukrainian NAZIs. Fuck you and your pathetic virtue signaling. 😐

It's extraordinary with all the serious issues on your Foreign Affairs brief that you virtue signal about an armband?

Thanks for the input, did you think of that yourself or did the Bilderbergers input the data? 🤔 If football is for everyone why ram Globalist agendas down everyone's throat? #GlobaliatsOut

What about real issues like the east wall protests. You are more interested in identity politics abroad.

It's extraordinary that you think football is for everbody but not the right to have an affordable family home, access to top tier healthcare and safe streets. Stop watching the WC and start fixing the shit show you and your mates created.

Irish are entitled to FOI of all public figure FFG and GREEN twitter accounts, FFG paid campaigns and of sources of those who mysteriously retweet COVENEY tweets. Full foi, which journalists requested it, @IrishTimes @irishexaminer @Independent_ie @griptmedia

If only our Govt had the unswerving attitude of Qatar, Ireland would not be in the mess it is. Very surprised that you could come out with a statement like that considering you know it is not FIFA that has banned the armband but the host country. Manipulation and deceit much.

Respect the country your in. Nothing more anoying that a specky rat of a sleezebag pushing hatred for his Bilderberg buddies. Slither back into that hole you were dragged from. A sellout. Why don't you shag off to Qatar and have it out with them, you won't need a return ticket.

It’s a celebration of football, a sport, not your half assed flavour of the month political bandwagons

If soccer players bring politics and woke pc agendas into sport they annoy many and should be expelled from the tournament, that would stop the virtue signalling nonsense.

Every player should wear a wristband then see what Fifa's next move is.

The issue lies with FIFA. They know the cultures and beliefs that each country has before they agree a World Cup there. Qatar allow LGBT to attend the games, and they won't be prosecuted. What they are asking is that slogans not be worn.
