Ppl don’t realize the difference between someone like Musk and true megacorps like Apple or Disney. Sure Musk is the “richest man in the world”, but the level of clout and control is not even in the same Universe.
When people can post the Christchurch massacre and have it stay up for days being shared, then you’ve got issues on your platform.

I'm already using my mobile web browser to look at Twitter after the android app caused my phone to crash. And the mobile web version sucks, and I look at Twitter much less now.
I run into a lot of porn looking at the trending tweets these days. Nothing against porn, but this lapse in moderation is new to me. I can see how some advertisers wouldn’t want to be seen next to it.
I’m not savvy when it comes to how apps work, so if someone can inform me, please do. Aside from no longer being able to download the app and update it, removal from the App Store would make Twitter unstable but not cause an “instantaneous” crash, correct?
Maybe part of it is that Apple doesn't feel it's safe for the people using the app. Is Twitter secure with so few people working there anymore?

The fact that Apple iced Facebook/Meta over their use of users' private information for targeted ads and other social media apps over lack of moderation, is proof enough that Tim Cook will have no issue benching Twitter. None whatsoever.

We live in a world where everyone is free to do whatever they want, right? Apple doesn’t have to carry any app they don’t want to. Don’t think they have to even have a reason.

Security risk is real. Apple has a duty to protect the entire app ecosystem, not cater to the whims of a pouty billionaire.

Probably some people overestimated Elon. I really thought he would keep some line of sanity, but he's just going all out.
