First, know that you're not alone. What you are experiencing has been expressed by Bosnians, Hongkongers, Syrians, Kurds, Iranians etc. In fact, closer to home: by Uighurs, Tibetans, Hongkongers, Taiwanese etc

Please don't mistake this attitude with 'the Left' as that term encompasses too many differences, to the extent that it's almost useless. To make it simpler, let's differentiate between the authoritarian Left and the anti-authoritarian Left.

There's enough anti-Bosnian hostility on the non-'authoritarian' Left too. It doesn't start with hardcore denialism. In my view, the dividing line is between wholeheartedly and unconditionally recognizing the righteousness of a struggle on its own terms, and everything else.
