The fact most Republicans voted against sick leave is a reminder of why they should never control the House.

What business is it of Congress to dictate employee benefits to their employers? People like you are the reason the national debt is approaching $30 trillion. You don’t know how to do your job and yet you’re telling other people how to do theirs.

In reply to @funder
What else was in the bill? Come on, let's hear the real reason now. 🤡

In reply to @funder
Read the current contract and tell me how many average Americans get half of that.

In reply to @funder
The fact that congress is negotiating a union contract is ludicrous on its face!

In reply to @funder
It's a reminder that Republicans are far more fiscally responsible than Democrats. What kind of pork did you guys load into the bill??

In reply to @funder
My grandmother and uncle both retired from a railroad. They weren’t hurting for money and most definitely could afford a few unpaid days.

In reply to @funder
The fact that Democrats voted 100% across the board for people to lose their jobs for refusing the death jab is why they should never have control of the House. See how that works? 🤷

And why a Senate majority should = 50 +1

In reply to @funder
The fact that Democrats are so eager to step into negotiations and mindlessly take sides out of political expediency is a reminder they really shouldn’t have power over a “free” country.

The RRs offered 15 days vacation plus 15 holidays. 8 of the 12 unions agreed but 4 didn't. Tony Caldwell RR Workers Union President admitted his workers get 1 week vacation after 12 mo, 4 weeks after 8 yrs but they want another week on top of that. So they want to strike. Facts.

Would Senate Democrats pass legislation if there were no filibuster? We are losing faith. We have lost too many rights. This will not end well for the country if this trend is not reversed. We elect legislators to truly represent US.

In reply to @funder
Where does the Constitution give the federal gov't the power to mandate sick leave for private businesses?

In reply to @funder
Maybe the railroad union should negotiate for more time off in lieu of a 24% pay raise that is retroactive to 2020.

In reply to @funder
Just be honest and call it PTO.

In reply to @funder
Let’s take away their sick leave.

In reply to @funder
. Restrictions on how Workers can use their Time Off imposed by Congress. . Paid Sick Leave is not needed unless they want to trade their unrestricted Paid Time Off (PTO) for Sick Time Off. . People should be able to use their PTO without any restrictions. ..

In reply to @funder
It's a clear reminder that it's not the job of the government to negotiate benefits for private industry.

What else was in the bill?

In reply to @funder
Republicans voted against your unconstitutional bill. They didn't vote against sick leave. You are a liar. Be better.

In reply to @funder
The fact you tried to hide 20 pounds of pork not related in the bill explains why they are going to control the house.

In reply to @funder
Universal basic income , forget benefits, then corporations would have to do more better incentives to keep workers

In reply to @funder
Two wings of the same bird.

In reply to @funder
So FORCING the workers is good?

In reply to @funder
they do now, the more freebies you give workers they more inflation we get so they are the adults in the house now

In reply to @funder
Perhaps @funder can find the answers he is looking for in a Chinese produce market located 6 miles from something relevant. I know, it didn't work out for him last time, but if you fail try try again.

In reply to @funder
Well, if workers are stupid enough to keep voting for them, then there will be no sick leave or Medicare or Social Security. Can't fix stupid.

In reply to @funder
Guess the dems passed it huh. Lol

In reply to @funder
Why don't you tell us the reason.

In reply to @funder
FPJOES ADMINISTRATION 401K KILLERS, Wondering what your DemoRATS have voted against in recent years

In reply to @funder
Maybe if they will stop adding pork to every bill, more things will pass.

In reply to @funder
The government needs to stay out of these issues. The unions negotiated and approved the current agreement without the sick leave. Their members do avg $130k annually and receive 3 weeks' vacation and 11 paid holidays. 4 times the mean income in the US.

In reply to @funder
I can tell you first hand these RR workers just got another week of paid vacation !

In reply to @funder
What was attached to that sick leave bill that you are failing to mention to cause the republican party to vote against said bill??? I am curious to know now

In reply to @funder
Bad news. They'll have control of the house in January

In reply to @funder
Is it wrong to want to employ people who do the work you hired them to do?

Should never control anything! Couldn’t even fix Obamacare; couldn’t get shots in Americans arms! Their plan? What plan? To investigate the people that are doing the work that they should have been doing for their four years? Sorry, Americans are not buying it! SMDH 😴🤦‍♀️

What if the baby u were forced to birth gets sick? Leave it home alone so u can go to work to afford rent food & heat. Daycare doesn't take sick kids

Sick leave ? Really what did people do before ? Work through it .. right !

In reply to @funder
But they do control the house and in 2024 will be all three chambers. Why, because Demonrats pure hate has taken over the party

Always remember this folks…especially in 2024. @SenateGOP @HouseGOP

In reply to @funder
Be open. What else is in the bill? Given what we know about Washington DC, I’m sure it’s not a stand alone bill. What else is there? This is where transparency would be helpful. Not just democratic talking points!

In reply to @funder
But this get you what , why do you your party enjoy hurting kids Don't lie it's right here wallstreetpr.com/california-rel…

They didn’t vote against sick leave. They voted against government overreach into labor disputes.

In reply to @funder
This is a lie. Please do your research. Every Democrat member of congress voted against it while 15 Republicans voted for it.

In reply to @funder
I’ve learned anytime I hear a democrat say “republicans voted against X”, once I research why, there’s typically more to the story the democrats don’t want to admit or talk about. The green new deal is a perfect example.

How about teaching the public about what and how the country is working? pic.twitter.com/mb3VOByEqb

In reply to @funder
Yeah, but it was Biden who lobbied for no sick leave.

In reply to @funder
Non issue. Biden have people so subsidized they don’t want to work.

In reply to @funder
It passed! What are you talking about? Just spreading lies to your guppies?

In reply to @funder
Except we do control the House 😉

In reply to @funder
Why does Congress have to deal with this? I thought #Biden was #ProUnion. Isn't he #MrAmtrak? Why didn't he and Maternity Leave #petebuttigieg take care of it?

In reply to @funder
If that's what it actually was! Cut the crap with these lies! Talk about what was really in the bill! Oh that's right you only regurgitate media talking points verbatim! Damn you people are dense!

The fact people think this even remotely close to what the federal government should be involved in is a reminder that there are plenty of idiots out there.

Sadly, they do now, because of gerrymandering. We need to ensure, this doesn't happen, again. 2024 is when, we take it back.

In reply to @funder
You're a threat to democracy

In reply to @funder
Journalist in your Bio. Funny. Propagandist would be more accurate. You would not know journalism if it smacked you in the face. Lie and cry more.

In reply to @funder

In reply to @funder
Because they believe in property rights?

In reply to @funder
The Federal Government has no standing in this dispute. Unions are political parties. The Union leaders are threatening the US economy. That is by definition Sedition. Rail workers that strike will be charged as well.

In reply to @funder
They voted against additional sick leave. Try telling the truth

In reply to @funder
They should NEVER be elected in the first place.

In reply to @funder
We believe in a healthy work force. Stop crying victim to Pansy!!!

In reply to @funder
Democrats keep adding things to bills that are socialist and then scream foul because Republicans won't vote for it. You can name a bill whatever you want but then stick in bs 🙄 that they know won't be voted for... of course, your constituents are stupid

In reply to @funder
Maybe we should I understand go back to the days before the DNC wanted to buy votes. pic.twitter.com/6sPepugCeF

Now just convince the voters.

In reply to @funder
I can do better than that- Democrats govern CA allowed sentenced pedophiles a second crack at the young, the very young, it is a crime against humanity, and they should never be allowed to hold public office dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1…

In reply to @funder
Strange don't you think, that it is the Democrats voting against unions and therefore the workers?🤦‍♂️

In reply to @funder
The fact that Biden wanted to get the Congress involved and quit letting the union and the company come to a mutual agreement is shitty towards the union. The Govt wants to control everything instead of people being able to negotiate for themselves.

I couldn’t agree more.
…they are so fucked up.

In reply to @funder
What is their union doing? I knew someone who worked for the rail yards and always bitched about the union. Why can't the railway union demand days off?

In reply to @funder
That’s up to the railroads and they’re worker not the government dumbass

In reply to @funder
Wrong. They were the responsible House members. They chose to respect the terms of the CBA and have terms properly negotiated instead of imposed by the federal government.

In reply to @funder
Wasn't it because it was forcing workers to except terms they already rejected in negotiation talks? I thought democrats were pro union. You're just pro bullshit.

In reply to @funder
Back that you probably never run a business showing a profit or made a payroll makes you unqualified to speak on the subject

In reply to @funder

ok but all dems didn’t vote FOR it so stfu maybe

In reply to @funder
Rail workers are paid FAR MORE than teachers, fire fighters, police, MANY college graduates. Are we going back to the days when unions shut us down if they didn't get their way? Public unions should be illegal.

In reply to @funder
They vote against the military and veterans benefits too.#RepublicansAreTheProblem

Well what other garbage was in it! And I kind of agree. We need a weed, the people party and get rid of all the other scum bags in there.MAGA.we the people!
