The government needs to stay out of these issues. The unions negotiated and approved the current agreement without the sick leave. Their members do avg $130k annually and receive 3 weeks' vacation and 11 paid holidays. 4 times the mean income in the US.

They didn’t vote against sick leave. They voted against government overreach into labor disputes.

I’ve learned anytime I hear a democrat say “republicans voted against X”, once I research why, there’s typically more to the story the democrats don’t want to admit or talk about. The green new deal is a perfect example.
