This was my favourite programme when I was very small.

When I joined I found that the Walworth Highway Patrol wasn't quite as glamorous!

The CHiPS intro is my ringtone.

Frank Poncharello & Jon Baker.

After watching it...you would cycle around with your best pal, on your Grifters, pretending you were the dudes in CHiPS

I’m of Asian decent, my best friend was blonde, perfect mix in east end london to be CHiPs. We had matching Raleigh strikers and we were Ponch and John, we still call each other that now!

Used to love this. My mate and I spent many evenings riding on our bikes side by side thinking we were chips pretending we had walkie talkies...

Loved this… Had the badge and helmet ‘n all

This is the show that started it all. I've spent literally thousands on motorcycles because of this show !!!

Same! They just dont make them like that anymore… same with Air Wolf, Knight Rider, A Team, Fall Guy, Magnum P. I… I want a tv channel thats just reruns of these (& ones like them) 📺 Because binge watching these shows, isn’t the same… 😅

Brilliant Saturday tea time watch in 80s. Beats all these cooking/property shows on a Saturday now.

Hands down the best theme tune ever.

Love that show Always had to home in time to watch it.

I loved this show. I feel sorry for those that didn’t enjoy the 80s, it was a belter for music, tv and movies. You poor younger souls only have YouTube & TikTok as your “fun”. Being older has it’s advantages, apart from a weak ass bladder, memory loss & grey hair 👨🏼‍🦳Worth the cost

It was on in a restaurant where I was having lunch recently. An entire episode played, and they didn't draw their guns once. That was actually rather nice.

Forces TV were showing it before the channel closed down. Like many 80s tv shows, it doesn't stand the test of time IMO. Too dated and cardboard cut out characters.

Wasn't that on the same night as BJ and the Bear?

In reply to @80s_Kidz
When they filmed on Pt Dume they came to my friend's house and chatted for a bit. Eric Estrada was really nice.

... the last moments of the opening credits, you'd actually see an aerial shot of an almost empty (building-wise) Bunker Hill area of DTLA as the motor bikes travel down the 110... nice...

Back in the childhood days, if we were 2 guys cycling together, it had to be like them
