Where do Scientologists think they go after death?
Replying to @nowuvdoneit
they believe in what you or I would call reincarnation and death is not a sad thing to them

Well THAT didn't work.

Viewership numbers will eventually tell the story of this, but personally I've basically stopped casually watching random NHL games because of this.
The @NHL digital board ads have made hockey *physically* more difficult to watch on TV this season. Putting aside any philosophical concerns about commercialization, there are a number of *technical* reasons why it hurts your eyes to watch this. A THREAD … (1/n) pic.twitter.com/eaZZ0Mf1Th

I was on the end of one of her tirades near Flag myself years ago. Was called a “sad little bitch” for asking her about Lisa McPherson. I was hoping for Cruise though. 🤣

Is there literally any other use for this than scheduling NFL games? ESPN’s “reverse mirror” days could have, but those are long behind us.
Fox is hit with patent infringement lawsuit over the analytics used to schedule broadcasts of NFL games. The case is a reminder of the power and monetary value of data in sports broadcasting. @JacobFeldman4 and I discuss: sportico.com/law/news/2022/…

Right--curious about the numerous rather essential things. For me, it was only some old Steam games etc that would no longer work after Mojave. Meanwhile, I'm still paused on updating to Ventura on work & home Macs for no reason except the vague unease of ever upgrading macOS.

Oh. FireWire recording and mpeg-2 processing mostly

the last MacOS version that supports 32-bit apps is Mojave, which as illustrated above is losing support from numerous rather essential things

Hard times for those of us who need to stay on a version of MacOS that still supports 32-bit apps... (Slack recently gave me the same warning as well)

Pretty insane directing decision to use these when, literally 50ft in the other direction, there’s a picturesque ice skating rink at the bottom of a park with a big bucs logo on it

So they actually opened with that shot on ESPN Deportes!

My local ABC not even cranking up the bitrate for the Bucs on MNF is a real disappointment. CFB has looked like garbage on there for years but local viewers really, really should not be getting a better picture on ESPN on cable than they can OTA.

Fucking Music with this is kilking me

This is the last time I ever let an app automate “look through your library and we‘ll take it from here”

There will be two options, a full subscription and a slim bundle named “SkinnyMax”
The combined HBO and Discovery app will reportedly just be called "Max" theverge.com/2022/12/5/2349… pic.twitter.com/gBcYaqKKKN

Dang it. Were you being a suppressive person again?

Sometimes circumstances call for throwing it all the way back.

15 years ago we marched outside the Flag Building and then down Fort Harrison and Kirstie Alley was in the VIP parking lot of the Fort Harrison Hotel. She came over to the gate and unleashed an unholy torrent of f-bombs on me. It was almost impressive, really, how enraged she was

That's a global thing produced by FIFA, not Fox Sports.
right that is mandatory to run at the start of and end of match coverage on all networks worldwide

the studio stuff does stink but i've had no problems with the in game commentary even if i don't care much for stu holden. jp dellacamera and ian darke are legends, john strong's enthusiasm is contagious, and donovan has good things to say even if he isn't broadcast perfect.
Replying to @steph_turkey
i think this was the low point of the in game commentary

Apparently Sports Illustrated decided to pull a Sidd Finch again but forgot you can only get away with that on April Fool's Day
Not real, per the Warriors. Looked amazing and fun, for sure.
