Presumably and hopefully with no MGU-H units in the turbo system of the 2026 F1 engines they鈥檒l generate more noise. Meanwhile from 2024 there will be no F1 tyre blankets or heaters of any kind 馃槼. That鈥檒l change the dynamics of a pitstop.

No tyre blankets or heaters of any kind from 2024? Well the F1 24 game is gonna be fun coming outta the pit lane... not (honestly, anyone who's played F1 22 knows it's hell as it is on fresh hards especially outta the pits)

It鈥檚 been nearly a decade, how are people not over the noise

Toto and Merc will whine and bitch crying danger with cold tyres and force a rule change that best suits them, EXACTLY like rule changes in 2nd half of 2022

In reply to @MBrundleF1
I still miss the V10鈥檚 noise.

And Pirelli鈥檚 going to make tyres that takes half a day to warm up.

Going to be honest, i don鈥檛 enjoy it like I used to. I want to see drivers at the ragged edge, driving faster for longer. Man and Machine, Skill and Engineering. Bring back Fuel Stops and a second tyre manufacturer. Take away engine settings and clever electronic settings

We need the noise. That's what F1 is about. Q

Don't see the logic in getting rid of tyre blankets - will just lead to fewer pit stops and fewer overtaking opportunities whilst bringing a negligible cost saving

In reply to @MBrundleF1
Great news about tyre blankets. Always thought they should be an early casualty of cost cutting. F3 and F2 manage without and makes the drivers work at getting temperature into the tyres.

Love it, reduce the people during the pits as well to make it even more interesting

In reply to @MBrundleF1
So the tyres will not last as long so meaning more stops if they need to warm up faster. Meaning pirell need to make/bring more tyres. Bit daft.

In reply to @MBrundleF1
No tyre blankets will make the driver have to look after the tyres as they try to bring them up to race pace, can only be a good thing.

In reply to @MBrundleF1
Question, you hear a lot about the higher profiles changing team, is this the case for pitcrew as well. Are they sought after as well?

In reply to @MBrundleF1
You can prewarm tyres using kinetic systems even once blankets are banned.

In reply to @MBrundleF1
We were promised no tire warmers before, but they chickened out of it.

In reply to @MBrundleF1
With the max fuel flow rate going down 30%, are they not going to rev a lot less? So going the opposite direction?

In reply to @MBrundleF1
Or it will cause the tire supplier to change compounds

In reply to @MBrundleF1
And probable cause some accidents but who cares about that...

In reply to @MBrundleF1
All that is needed now is a few more races with a higher risk of rain and we've arrived!!!

Ban pit radios... let drivers make mistakes on pitstopz

In reply to @MBrundleF1
More noise is always welcome 馃槉

In reply to @MBrundleF1
What has the MGUH to do with noise? Answer: Zero.

In reply to @MBrundleF1
I don't really understand why they are removing tyre blankets all together. Like the warmup is pretty bad already with tyre blankets

In reply to @MBrundleF1
I assume one driver wouldn't be allowed to run a set for a lap or two and the switch to the other driver to gain a advantage? Also at hot events can they keep the tyres out in the sun and rotate?

In reply to @MBrundleF1
Surely that means less pit stops. Too much time lost. I can see processional 1 stop races with teams saving tyres.

In reply to @MBrundleF1
Removing tyre heaters is a good thing, the sport has been sterilised of small things like missed gears, so this will bring in mistakes as drivers struggle with cold tyres, just what is needed !

In reply to @MBrundleF1
They will burn less fuel, I doubt it's gonna sound louder as less energy is being converted.

The tyre blanket thing sucks tbh, no undercuts will be possible

In reply to @MBrundleF1
Wait. No heaters of *any* kind? No pre-heating the oil and coolant before startup? That would be a massive change to engine design.

In reply to @MBrundleF1
I was hoping F1 would go to more ICE engines then 50% vs 50% battery. Since efuel will be in charge, battery could be used as a pushtopass, like 300s per race as extra boost. Turbo lag? Thoughts?

In reply to @MBrundleF1
Why do I feel that all of these changes are just going to make Formula 1 even slower than the cars are now?

Utterly stupid to ban tyre warmers. Not a safety issue?

In reply to @MBrundleF1
How about 2 compulsory pit stops in every race, & all 3 compounds MUST be used in the race鈥.

In reply to @MBrundleF1
Basically removes the advantage of the undercut then

For someone with 鈥渟pecial auditory needs鈥, I enjoy the fact the cars are quieter. I still want to see exciting races and skills on track, but don鈥檛 need my brain blasted via my ears. I鈥檓 aware for many it鈥檚 all about the roar, but for me its painful. I love the new quieter races

In reply to @MBrundleF1
Maybe the mechanics can use flatulence to heat the tyres. 馃し馃徎

In reply to @MBrundleF1
Pit boxes will have underfloor heating 馃榿
