Well, that’s my year made.

The Mist was soooooo good. And realistic in my opinion if it were to really happen and we observed human response. The ending was everything. Wonderfully erry and then the twist of the ending. I've watched it so many times.

This movie just *flattened* me.

In reply to @StephenKing
The first time I was ever on a film set—it was fascinating to see how it all works.

Frank Darabont has done an amazing job with your stories. He's the one who has best adapted them, IMO.

I love seeing my colleagues thrive. Super stoked King saw Eric's hard work. I still can't believe it's been 15 years since The Mist debuted. I remember watching it in theaters with my dad & our reaction vs the audience's at the ending. Stream it on Netflix & give this a read :)

In reply to @StephenKing
My wife has still not forgiven me for taking her to see that in the theater. worth it anyways.

Great movie. Bleak ending. I really wanted to see more of that setting.

A great read about an excellent movie.

As a projectionist, this was the first film I “built” (aka splicing the reels together). I was nervous about it so I watched it by myself at 2am to be sure I didn’t mess it. One of the best movie going experiences I’ve ever had. Just me alone in a big auditorium with a good movie

In reply to @StephenKing
One of the best. No one does King like Darabont.

In reply to @StephenKing
After reading “The Mist” I love the unseen twist in the movie. So many people in the theater were mad. But, who decided movie’s in America need to have a happy ending?

In reply to @StephenKing
The Mist The most powerful ending of any story/show I've seen, with possible exception of The Elephant Man. I cried torrents. With The Mist, I was utterly in shock. Not apples to oranges, but you hear me.

In reply to @StephenKing
Ooh that movie is riiight on the edge of “So hard to watch I can’t take it again” and “Ooh, The Mist is on!”

In reply to @StephenKing
This is my favorite short story of yours, and the movie was horrifyingly excellent.

In reply to @StephenKing
Never saw it!! Going to find it. Thanks for the info

In reply to @StephenKing
That's so weird, I was just thinking of this movie and even commented about it on another of your tweets from a couple hours ago. I LOVED this movie. I wish I'd never seen it so I could watch it again for the first time.

Reports are in about some kind of seismic event in the @EricVespe house.
Double congratulations, man! 🎉

Introduced my other half 1408 last night, I rememeber it being great and it really is. Terrific movie. Full of your humour, heart and knack of finding genuinely scary ideas rather than just boring jump scares. Thinking also of the terrifying road in pet Sematery. Cheers!

In reply to @StephenKing
It is by far, the best adaptation of any of your works. Really honestly terrifying and creepy.

In reply to @StephenKing
the most traumatic upsetting f**d up movie ending ever and it was so good

Thank you for posting this! The Mist has always been one of my favorites and reading this made it even more so! Also felt inspired lol

In reply to @StephenKing
I remember having seen this film several times....it began, for me, as a racehorse, pardoning the expression, but ended up as a skinny donkey...what a way to frustrate an end. Yes, however it was interesting. pic.twitter.com/XLn9WeLULe

In reply to @StephenKing
loved that film , watched it over ad over when i first saw it, think i will watch it again tonight, crazy bible lady scarier than any monster`s 🤣

In reply to @StephenKing
Those smoky, distant visuals of those otherworldly creatures were mesmerizing. He capture the disconnected/surreal feeling quite well.

In reply to @StephenKing
That was a great read about one of my favorite adaptations.

In reply to @StephenKing
I love that one it good movie I watch it again thanks

In reply to @StephenKing
When I saw this movie in the theatre, I loved the ending so much that I actually walked out to the lobby, plopped down another ten dollars, and walked right back in for the next showing.

In reply to @StephenKing
A genuinely crappy story. One of the most embarrassing, overacted, over-the-too endings of all time. I felt sorry for whoever wrote it.

In reply to @StephenKing
The ending was corny and not handled well by the filmmakers. Pretty decent film apart from that.

In reply to @StephenKing
The end of "The Mist" was incredibly unbearable. I literally felt tears. Good job. Your still politically lost.

In reply to @StephenKing
Thank you , i like to tell stories , i am not sure that qualifies as film making pic.twitter.com/i8TUBc7x32

In reply to @StephenKing
The Mist was realistic how people react when there is a catastrophe. The ramblings of a religious judgemental fanatic creating a following of believers to control those who do not share her beliefs.

In reply to @StephenKing
That ending was fkn hardcore 😭

In reply to @StephenKing
I liked your ending better.

One of those movies where I watch it and say, “yeah, that was good but I don’t want to watch that ever again.”

In reply to @StephenKing
You lost me at "If." Reader no more.

I liked it, King. Good acting and interesting story.😊

In reply to @StephenKing
Great job, shocking ending.

In reply to @StephenKing
An unbelievable movie, I sat there stunned for a good ten minutes at the end.

In reply to @StephenKing
Your advice sucks always literally sucks every time

When I write my inspiration is how do I write this story without coming across as totally insane or ridiculous!I prefer to write about my own experiences with the various issues of man v himself to man v inhumanity because I’ve never experienced true love other than my daughter

In reply to @StephenKing
I had a cool idea of turning "Cycle of the Werewolf" into a mini-series that was more of a psychological thriller like the Mist than a monster movie. Having the town turn on each other cuz they assume its a serial killer among them. Your agent told me to fuck off lol

In reply to @StephenKing
I wanted to watch that in theaters but I Mist it

In reply to @StephenKing
Mr King knows his stuff so give this a go.

In reply to @StephenKing
Thanks, definitely interested in filmmaking.

In reply to @StephenKing
I've watched this movie two or three times. The parts are better than the sum, but it's Stephen King. PLUS, it was cool to discover a TWD connection.

In reply to @StephenKing
One of my favorites, wish there was some kind of sequel.

In reply to @StephenKing
Oh the walking mental illness is tweeting again

In reply to @StephenKing
I'm still livid they put the ending on it they did, for shock value. Uhg. I always turn it off when they head off into the mist because thats how the story ended.

In reply to @StephenKing
Begging you to let me adapt ELEVATION, Mr. King.

In reply to @StephenKing
It came out the year my husband and I started dating! We watched it together in the early days!

In reply to @StephenKing
That movie made me angry

"Stephen King has described his muse as a guy with a buzz cut, wearing overalls, smoking a cigar and saying, "Get to work, a**hole. You got stuff to do today. Get to it." "

Ya know, plucky whitebro heroes are a dime a dozen. Got anything else? You know, something imaginative and creative.

In reply to @StephenKing
I have the dvd and have read the story. The movie follows the story almost to a T! Very well done! 👍👍👍👍

In reply to @StephenKing
Are you ok with the changed ending??

In reply to @StephenKing

The Mist namıdiğer sis 👌

Rewatched this on the weekend for the first time in a decade. Not only does the film hold up, but it's amazing to watch with people who've never seen it before and see them try and guess every twist and turn.
Can't wait to buy the black and white blu-ray for Xmas.

Oh, but I am desperately awaiting Salem's Lot. I've read it a few times, and am doing so again.

When writing a novel about how much cocaine per chapter do you snort?

In reply to @StephenKing
Great story and ending!

In reply to @StephenKing
Look who wants to play nice 👍

Known about this process for a while and as a small filmmaker myself this could be a great and creative way for anybody to get a foot in the door.

In reply to @StephenKing
The Mist is an ordinary horror film. Not bad, not great. It's ok. Stanley Kubrick made one of the truly great pieces of cinema and hands-down the best horror film in history with The Shining, and you detest the film AND Kubrick. Excellent judgement here Stephen.

Awesome film that fella, good work!

It’s lengthy, but this is absolutely brilliant 👇🏻

I love following you, but Musk’s tweets are so juvenile and offensive, I need to get out of here. Please let us know where else to follow you. I have high hopes for Post. post.news/?r=2bXN7&utm_s…

That was great movie one but heart wrenching ending.

Let Darabont direct The Dark Tower series, Hollywood!!
