For me, Sim Racing is as close to the real thing that I can, currently, get. I don’t have the time, talent, or means to do it irl, but I want to feel the experience of ripping my favorite cars through my favorite tracks. I’m 35 I’ll never make it into F1, but through sim I can

99% would baulk at the time and effort it takes to get a car on the track, let alone the money ( ex Karter, current sim driver)

You can go do those fictional tracks after getting off the real one irl then, I’ll stick to the tracks I like to drive on the one thing I can afford to drive. Just cause you want some creativity and change doesn’t mean you gotta ruin the experience for those who enjoy it

My one item on my bucket list is to drive the Le Mans 24hr. It’s not going to happen unless I win the lottery!

I think sim racers can catch on to made up tracks and cars and stuff, but they truly have to be good enough. There’s a reason why it’s costs so much to design cars in real life, it’ll cost just as much to design for the sim world, otherwise you’ll get GTA5 esk cars
